Aminobenzenesulfonamide functionalized SBA-15 nanoporous molecular sieve: A new and promising adsorbent for preconcentration of lead and copper ions

A rapid method for the extraction and monitoring of nanogram level of Pbz＋ and Cuz＋ ions using uniform silanized mesopor （SBA-15） functionalized with aminobenzenesulfonamide groups and flame atomic absorption spectrometry （FAAS） is presented. Aminobenzenesulfonamide functionalized SBA-15 was synthesized according to procedure in the literature and the presence of organic groups in the silica framework was demonstrated by FT-IR spectra. The functionalized product showed the BET surface area 110 mZ/g and pore diameter 5. l nm, based on adsorption-desorption of N2 at 77 K. The effect of several variables such as （amount of adsorbent, stirring time, pH and presence of other ions in the medium） has been studied. Lead and copper were completely extracted at pH greater than 3 after stirring for 10 min. The maximum capacity of the adsorbent was found to be 191.3 ＋ 1.4 and 155.0 ＋ 1.0 ~xg of lead and copper ions/mg functionalized SBA-15, respectively. The preconcentration factor of the method was found to be 200. The detection limit of the technique was 3.4 and 0.4 ng/mL for Pb2＋ and Cuz＋, respectively. The applications of this methodology for real samples were examined by various water type, black tea and pepper samples.

The trend towards smart greenhouses stems from various factors,including a lack of agricultural land area owing to population concentration and housing construction on agricultural land,as well as water *** study proposes building a full farming adaptation model that depends on current sensor readings and available datasets from different agricultural research *** proposed model uses a one-dimensional convolutional neural network(CNN)deep learning model to control the growth of strategic crops,including cucumber,pepper,tomato,and *** proposed model uses the Internet of Things(IoT)to collect data on agricultural operations and then uses this data to control and monitor these operations in real *** helps to ensure that crops are getting the right amount of fertilizer,water,light,and temperature,which can lead to improved yields and a reduced risk of crop *** dataset is based on data collected from expert farmers,the photovoltaic construction process,agricultural engineers,and research *** experimental results showed that the precision,recall,F1-measures,and accuracy of the one-dimensional CNN for the tested dataset were approximately 97.3%,98.2%,97.25%,and 97.56%,*** new smart greenhouse automation system was also evaluated on four crops with a high turnover *** system has been found to be highly effective in terms of crop productivity,temperature management and water conservation.

Currently,colorectal cancer(CRC)represents the third most common malignancy and the second most deadly cancer worldwide,with a higher incidence in developed *** other solid tumors,CRC is a heterogeneous genomic disease in which various alterations,such as point mutations,genomic rearrangements,gene fusions or chromosomal copy number alterations,can contribute to the disease ***,because of its orderly natural history,easily accessible onset location and high lifetime incidence,CRC is ideally suited for preventive intervention,but the many screening efforts of the last decades have been compromised by performance limitations and low penetrance of the standard screening *** advent of next-generation sequencing(NGS)has both facilitated the identification of previously unrecognized CRC features such as its relationship with gut microbial pathogens and revolutionized the speed and throughput of cataloguing CRC-related genomic ***,in this review,we summarized the several diagnostic tools used for CRC screening in the past and the present,focusing on recent NGS approaches and their revolutionary role in the identification of novel genomic CRC characteristics,the advancement of understanding the CRC carcinogenesis and the screening of clinically actionable targets for personalized medicine.

The preparation,characterization,and application of silica-coated magnetic nanoparticles for papain immobilization is *** was covalently attached onto the(3-chloropropyl) trimethoxysilane-modified silica-coated magnetic nanoparticles. The enzyme-immobilized nanoparticles were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray powder diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and vibrating sample magnetometry *** surface methodology combined with statistical analyses using Minitab were employed to evaluate optimum operating conditions to immobilize papain on the magnetic *** optimum conditions were: temperature = 27.3℃,pH of the enzyme solution = 7.1,concentration of papain = 3.3 mg/mL,and immobilization time = 10 *** with the free papain,the immobilized papain displayed enhanced enzyme activity,better tolerance to variations in the medium pH and temperature,improved storage stability,and good *** the free and immobilized enzymes were effective for the clarification of pomegranate juice.

To check the dose uniformity and to determine the efficiency of medical devices sterilization by gamma irradiation after three half lives of the source, calculations of the absorbed dose were carried out. Monte Carlo simulations and dosimetry measurements, were established to study the radiation processing quality control. An isodose chart was created by GEANT4 Monte Carlo code to evaluate the absorbed dose rate uniformity inside the irradiation room from the year of the installation until the year of the source reload. The dose uniformity ratio(DUR) is deduced from maximum and minimum experimental doses in medical devices after three half lives of the source.

This study aimed to investigate the water absorption capacity of thermally modified and non-modified spruce and blue-stained spruce *** wettability of wood depends on various factors,including its type,density,porosity,and surface *** can swell and become distorted when exposed to water or humidity,impacting its structural ***,it is crucial to consider the water and water vapour uptake in the wood when choosing materials for applications that are likely to be exposed to *** moisture absorption tests were conducted to assess water absorption capacity,including short-term and long-term water absorption and water vapour *** results showed a significant difference in the long-term exposure to water,which was related to the density of the *** study examined the influence of thermal treatment on the physical properties of wood and observed significant variations in mass change due to coating,indicating differences in adhesion among different wood ***-treated blue-stained Norway spruce demonstrated higher adhesion(5%–15%)compared to air-treated ***,cohesion tests revealed lower cohesion force in blue-stained Norway spruce(approximately 20%–30%)compared to Norway *** study also used industry-standard tests to investigate the adhesion and cohesion of nano-coatings on wood *** results provided valuable information on the properties of coatings applied to wood,which is vital in protecting and decorating wood while also providing preventive protection against wood pests,weathering,and mechanical *** modification in vacuum involves subjecting the wood to a low-pressure environment to remove air and moisture,allowing for deeper and more uniform penetration of treatment *** contrast,wood modification in air relies on the natural circulation of air to facilitate the absorption of chemical treatments,without the need for a vacuum chamber.

In this work, the synthesis of the composite of cerium（IV） molybdophosphate （CMP） and polyacrylonitrile （PAN） was reported （CMP-PAN）. The material has been characterized by elemental and spectral （FT-IR）, X-ray and thermal （TGA） analysis. Also the size analysis of the composite was done by scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. Its chemical stability in acidic, basic and saline solutions and radiation stability up to 100 kGy total expose dose were assessed. Whereas the synthesized composite has ion exchange properties, its ion exchange capacity and behavior toward several metal ions were also investigated. Further, the distribution coefficients of the metal ions were calculated. Finally, the ability of the synthesized CMP-PAN composite for the decontamination of low level liquid waste （LLLW） was investigated.
