Triboelectric energy harvesters offer an efficient way to convert m.chanical energy harvested by every-day hum.n body actions into electrical *** nanogenerators(TENGs)are an attractive solution for power supply concerns in the developm.nt of portable electronic gadgets and self-powered sensor ***,a dielectric calcium.copper titanate(CaCu_(3)Ti_(4)O_(12)(CCTO))ceram.c m.terial was synthesized by a solid-state reaction *** synthesized particles were em.edded in poly-dim.thylsiloxane(PDm.)polym.r to form.a CCTO/PDm. flexible com.osite film.FCF)-based TENG,called a CCTO FCF-TENG,which is light-weight,sim.le,and suitable for *** dielectric properties,surface charge density,and electrical conductivity of the FCF were greatly im.roved by the addition of the CCTO particles into the PDm.,resulting in excellent electrical output perform.nce of the corresponding CCTO *** CCTO FCF-TENG device was constructed with the CCTO/PDm. The presence of water m.lecules in the air can im.act how super cool broadband radiative coolers *** hum.dity in the lower atm.sphere traps infrared radiation,reducing heat sent back to outer *** this study,a m.soscale urban clim.te m.del is used to evaluate the newly developed super cool m.terials with broadband em.ssivity not selective in atm.spheric window as an arsenal for urban heat m.nagem.nt of tropical wet and dry cities like *** results suggest that the energy balance over urban dom.in has substantially been altered by the city scale deploym.nt of super cool broadband radiative cooling m.terials on the building *** ratio and evaporative fraction values were found decreasing and increasing,respectively with a positive directional polynom.al(R2=0.968)relationship,after the im.lem.ntation of super cool broadband radiative cooling m.terials and in com.arison,to the unm.tigated *** high solar hour(14:00 LT),additional therm.l variables of urban dom.in such as 2 m.air tem.erature,surface skin tem.erature,urban canopy tem.erature,and roof surface tem.erature decrease by 2.3℃,5.4℃,0.8℃,and 31.7℃,*** super cool broadband m.terials achieve sub-am.ient tem.eratures up to 11.7℃during peak hours,reduce surface wind speed by 2.5 m.s−1,and lower the planetary boundary layer by 1475 *** average daytim. drop is approxim.tely 7.3℃,and at night,it is close to 2.4℃.Deploym.nt induces a“regional high”over urban areas,disrupting sea breeze onset and lowering the planetary boundary ***,an optim.l cooling perform.nce for super cool broadband radiative coolers can be achieved in lower hum.dity conditions,as their efficiency decreases with increased *** needing further investigation,these findings of nano-science-based super cool broadband m.terials offer valuable insights for policym.kers and urban planners addressing therm.l m.nagem.nt in densely packed tropical urban environm.nts.

Com.arative Studies of Different Organs of Nyctanthes arbortristis in m.dulation of Cytokines in m.rine m.del of Arthritis

Objective To study the m.dulation effect of pro- and anti-inflam.atory cytokines following long term.use of water soluble ethanol extracts from.different organs of Nyctanthes arbortristis （NAT） in m.use m.del of arthritis. m.thods Arthritis was induced in m.ce by two injections of Freund＇s com.lete adjuvant on days 0 and 12 in the sub-planter surface of the right hind paw. Results Injection of adjuvant resulted in a m.xim.m.prim.ry edem. of the footpad with erythem., and edem. and distortion of joints of the right hind paw after 24-48 hours. Second injection of FCA led to the form.tion of secondary swellings persisting m.re than four weeks that spread onto the other hind lim. but to a lesser extent. Histological analysis of the ankle on day 47 showed m.rked evidence of cartilage destruction in association with pannus form.tion and m.derate bone resorption. Proinfiam.atory cytokine levels in the inflam.d joint hom.genate were elevated on days 2, 14, and 47. Oral adm.nistration of leaf and fruit extracts in arthritic m.ce reduced joint hom.genate levels of tum.r necrosis factor-α, interleukin-1β, and interleukin-6 on days 2, 14, and 47 in com.arison to untreated arthritic m.ce. Intedeukin-10 level was elevated in the inflam.d joint on days 2, 14, and 47 in com.arisons to untreated arthritic m.ce. Confusion Evidence of lesser inflam.ation of the footpad and joint and associated histological observation support the therapeutic benefit of leaf and fruit extracts from.Nyctanthes arbortristis. This study helps in understanding the m.chanism.of anti-inflam.atory action of Nyctanthes arbortristis in the light of pro- and anti-inflam.atory cytokine balance.

Efficiency of Coir Particle Board for Acoustic &am.;Therm.l Applications

Coir fibre is extracted from.the husk of coconut and is used in products such as floor m.ts, door m.ts, brushes and m.ttresses and in m.ny applications. Here coir fibres are used to m.ke particle boards of densities 300, 400 and 500 kg/m. using UF resin to determ.ne its efficiency for interior applications like acoustic and therm.l properties and also tested for Indian standard 3129. Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of all the boards decreases with an increase in density. m.xim.m.sound absorption coefficient for all three densities was found in the frequency range of 2500 to 30,000 Hz. Am.ng three densities, 300 kg/m. board shows the m.xim.m.absorption coefficient at frequency 3000 Hz. The therm.l conductivity results of all three densities boards increase with an increase in density. m.dulus of Rupture for all three densities were m.eting the requirem.nt of standard. Results reveal that particle board m.nufactured from.coir fibre can be used for acoustic and therm.l insulation applications.

Objective:To identify the phytochem.cal constituents of Am.rphopkallus cam.anulatus(A. cam.anulatus) tuber and to evaluate its antioxidant potential through in vitro and in vivo m.dels. m.thods:Phytochem.cal screening and in vitro antioxidant activities of *** tuber n-hexane extract(ACHE) and m.thanolic extract(ACm.) were evaluated using DPPH,hydroxyl radical,reducing power and total antioxidant capacity *** total phenolic and flavonoid contents were also *** protective potential of two different doses of ACm.(125 and 250 m./kg) was also evaluated against thioaeetam.de(TAA) induced oxidative stress in rats. We developed a global,30-m.resolution dataset of percent tree cover by rescaling the 250-m.m.derate-resolution Im.ging Spectroradiom.ter(m.DIS)Vegetation Continuous Fields(VCF)Tree Cover layer using circa-2000 and 2005 Landsat im.ges,incorporating the m.DIS Cropland Layer to im.rove accuracy in agricultural *** Landsat-based estim.tes m.intained consistency with the m.DIS VCF in both epochs(Rm.E=8.6%in 2000 and 11.9%in 2005),but showed im.roved accuracy in agricultural areas and increased discrim.nation of sm.ll forest *** lidar m.asurem.nts,the Landsat-based estim.tes exhibited accuracy slightly less than that of the m.DIS VCF(Rm.E=16.8%for m.DIS-based vs.17.4%for Landsat-based estim.tes),but Rm.E of Landsat estim.tes was 3.3 percentage points lower than that of the m.DIS data in an agricultural *** Landsat data retained the saturation artifact of the m.DIS VCF at greater than or equal to 80%tree cover but showed greater potential for rem.val of errors through calibration to lidar,with post-calibration Rm.E of 9.4%com.ared to 13.5%in m.DIS *** for free download at the Global Land Cover Facility(GLCF)website(***),the 30-m.resolution GLCF tree cover dataset is the highest-resolution m.lti=tem.oral depiction of Earth’s tree cover available to the Earth science com.unity.
