This study reports the protease production from Aspergillus tamarii using agroindustrial residues as substrate for solid-state fermentation (SSF) and biochemical characterization. The highest protease production was obtained using wheat bran as substrate at 72 h fermentation with maximum proteolytic activity of 401.42 U/ml, collagenase of 243.0 U/ml and keratinase of 19.1 U/ml. The protease exhibited KM = 18.7 mg/ml and Vmax = 28.5 mg/ml/min. The optimal pH was 8.0 and stable in a wide pH range (5.0 - 11.0) during 24 h. The optimum temperature was 40°C. The proteolytic activity was inhibited by Cu2+ (33.98%) and Hg2+ (22.69%). The enzyme was also inhibited by PMSF (65.11%), indicating that is a Serine Protease. These properties suggest that alkaline protease from A. tamarii URM4634 is suitable for application in food industries and leather processing. Additionally, the present findings opened new vistas in the utilization of wheat bran and other effective agroindustrial wastes as substrates for SSF.

Objective:To investigate the presence of industrial enzymes (trypsin and chymotrypsin) as well as collagenolytic and fibrinolytic activities of the neglected processing waste of greater amberjackSeriola dumerili(S. dumerili). Methods: The investigations on trypsin, chymotrypsin, collagenolytic and fibrinolytic activities in residues in digestive viscera were performed. The enzymes trypsin and chymotrypsin were physicochemically characterized (including pH- and thermo-stabilities and sensitivity to metal ions and inhibitors). The kinetic parameters were also determined. Collagenolytic and fibrinolytic activities of the crude extract were also investigated. Results:The crude extract ofS. dumerili showed enzymatic activity of (1.4600 ± 0.0011 and (0.7100 ± 0.0079) IU/mg protein for trypsin and chymotrypsin, respectively. The optimal temperature and pH was 60°C and 9 for trypsin and 40°C and 8 for chymotrypsin. The main inhibitory ions were in the following order: Fe3+> Cu2+> Zn2+> Cd2+> Hg2+ (trypsin) and Hg2+> Fe3+> Zn2+> Cd2+> Mn2+(chymotrypsin). TlCK and benzamidine were the strongest inhibitors for both enzymes. The crude extract also presented collagenolytic activity [(42.44 ± 0.01) IU/mg] and fibrinolytic activity ((26.70 ± 0.05) IU/ml)Conclusions:The crude extract ofS. dumerili showed potential for reuse of its residues and to provide biomolecules of industrial interest like trypsin and to be a source of fibrinolytic enzymes.

In the Freudian-lacanian field,there is an important distinction between knowledge and *** truth,of an unconscious nature,is something that inhabits us,directs us,but that escapes ***,in turn,is something to be invented,from the hole of the Real,the Unconscious truth,and the subjective *** relationships between playing,creating,and fantasizing;the dimension of the uncanny,fiction,and imagination in subjectivity;the invention of knowledge of oneself,derived from the pains and flavors of being who one is,are creative dimensions that inhabit the subject,permeate the analytical act,and transversalize *** the practice,we listen to and witness processes of analysis that awaken an invention/reinvention of oneself,in the process of remembering,repeating,and elaborating,but also in what the transference relationship *** of oneself,does not guarantee a life without mishaps,sadness,and illusions,but allows the invention and recognition of knowledge and a *** concept of Sinthome(2007),coined by Jacques lacan,comes in the wake of the processes of self-invention and is a knowing-doing with the symptom,with the paradoxes of joyful suffering,producing,as a result,an art of ***,in this communication,I will articulate elements of theory,practice,and psychoanalytic experience that allow us to expand knowledge of the themes of invention and imagination articulated with the concept of sinthome,their relationships with subjectivity,and the direction of psychoanalytic treatment.

The effectiveness of current control measures against Aedes mosquitoes remains low, resulting in persistent epidemics in urban areas. The emergence of resistant mosquito populations to chemical insecticides highlights the need for novel, environmentally friendly, cost-effective control strategies. This study explored the potential of environmental bacterial isolates to biocontrol wild Aedes larvae. Initially, we collected bacterial samples from infectious masses of Aedes fluviatilis larvae. The isolated bacteria were identified using biochemical, enzymatic, and molecular methods, including 16S rRNA sequencing and MAlDI-TOF. Previously, Aeromonas hydrophila and Bacillus thuringiensis isolated from these infectious masses showed limited Aedes larval inhibition. Consequently, we screened additional environmental isolates from the bacteriotheque. Six isolates previously identified were tested: Chromobacterium violaceum, Enterobacter cloacae, Bacillus cereus, Bacillus sphaericus, and two strains of Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis. Among these strains, B. thuringiensis and C. violaceum exhibited significant inhibitory activities against wild Aedes larvae. Bacillus thuringiensis cultures grown under daylight conditions showed a slight ability to inhibit Aedes larvae. The potential of B. thuringiensis and C. violaceum strains studied, along with optimized culture growth conditions, will be further investigated to develop bioinsecticide products to provide safer and more sustainable alternatives for controlling larvae of Aedes mosquitoes.

livestock grazing has a significant impact on natural grasslands, with approximately one-third of the world's land area dedicated to this industry. Around 20% of global grasslands are highly degraded due to overgrazing, affecting their productivity and conservation capacity. Best practices are required to ensure sustainable livestock production that supports biodiversity. The Intermediate Disturbance Hypothesis (IDH) suggests that environments with moderate levels of disturbance exhibit a higher species diversity. Moderate grazing can reduce the dominance of certain species, thereby enhancing plant diversity. However, concerns arise regarding the increase of exotic and unpalatable species under moderate grazing levels, complicating grassland conservation efforts. The impact of livestock grazing on the functional structure of grasslands depends on factors such as grazing intensity, livestock species, and environmental conditions. Variations in grazing intensity may increase specific and functional diversity under moderate grazing, potentially masking the presence of invasive exotic species. In the Austral Pampas (Pampean phytogeographic province, Buenos Aires, Argentina), grasslands face various pressures from domestic livestock grazing that endanger their integrity if not properly managed. Therefore, our study aims to investigate potential differences in species richness and diversity, functional diversity, exotic plant abundance, and the number and distribution of plant functional groups across varying grazing intensities. The IDH is utilized as a tool to regulate livestock pressure for grassland conservation. Species and functional diversity indices were used to assess the impact of grazing on grassland diversity.
