Dear Editor,Breast cancer(BC)is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the fifth cause of cancer-related death worldwide[1].Despite the advances in BC targeted therapies,cytotoxic chemotherapy is still widely used[2].However,around 20%-30%of BC patients develop metastasis after treatment as a consequence of drug resistance[3].In this context,microRNAs have emerged as potential therapeutic targets to overcome therapy resistance[4].Therefore,we aimed to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying resistance to doxorubicin,one of the most effective chemotherapeutic agents used in *** are detailed in Supplementary Materials.

An easy,accurate and efficient procedure to create forest fire risk maps using the SEXTANTE plugin Modeler

To prevent, detect, and protect against forest fires, forest personnel need to define rules for determining forest fire risk. In Portugal, all municipalities must annually produce forest fire risk （FFR） maps. To produce more reliable FFR maps more easily, we developed an open source model using the Modeler plugin of SEXTANTE in the program QGIS version 2.0 Dufour. The model provides all the maps involved in the FFR model （susceptibility map, hazard map, vulnerability map, economic value map, and potential loss map） and was produced according to Portuguese Forest Authority＇s （AFN, Autoridade Florestal Nacional） rules for determining the FFR. This model was tested for the Portuguese municipality Santa Maria da Feira, where 40 % of the total municipality area falls in the category ＂very high＂ or ＂high＂ fire risk. The ＂very high＂ fire risk area is mainly classified as broad-leaved forest and has the steepest slopes （〉15 %）. The distance of burned areas to roads was also analyzed; the proportion of burned areas increased with increasing distance to the main roads. In addition, 92.6 % of the ＂high＂ and ＂very high＂ risk zones were located in areas with lower elevation. These results confirmed that forest fire is strongly influenced not only by environmental factors but also by anthropogenic factors. The procedure implemented here was compared with our open source application already available in QGIS and also to the same procedure implemented in GIS pro- prietary software. Although the results were obviously the same, the model developed here presents several advan- tages over the other two approaches. Besides being faster, it is easy to change the model parameters according to user needs （i.e., to the rules of different countries）, and can be modified and adapted to other variables and other areas to create risk maps for different natural phenomena （e.g., floods, earthquakes, landslides）. On the Semiprimitivity and Semiprimality Problems for Partial Smash Products

In this paper we discuss about the semiprimitivity and the semiprimality of partial smash products. Let H be a semisimple Hopf algebra over a field k and let A be a left partial H-module algebra. We study the H-prime and the H-Jacobson radicals of A and their relations with the prime and the Jacobson radicals of A#H, respectively. In particular, we prove that if A is H-semiprimitive, then A^fH is semiprimitive provided that all irreducible representations of A are finite-dimensional, or A is an affine PI-algebra over k and k is a perfect field, or A is locally finite. Moreover, we prove that A=#=H is semiprime provided that A is an H-semiprime PI-algebra, generalizing to the setting of partial actions the known results for global actions of Hopf algebras.

NEW HYBRID CONJUGATE GRADIENT METHOD AS A CONVEX COMBINATION OF LS AND FR METHODS

In this paper, we present a new hybrid conjugate gradient algorithm for unconstrained optimization. This method is a convex combination of Liu-Storey conjugate gradient method and Fletcher-Reeves conjugate gradient method. We also prove that the search direction of any hybrid conjugate gradient method, which is a convex combination of two conjugate gradient methods, satisfies the famous D-L conjugacy condition and in the same time accords with the Newton direction with the suitable condition. Furthermore, this property doesn't depend on any line search. Next, we also prove that, moduling the value of the parameter t,the Newton direction condition is equivalent to Dai-Liao conjugacy *** strong Wolfe line search conditions are *** global convergence of this new method is *** comparisons show that the present hybrid conjugate gradient algorithm is the efficient one.

Glial proliferation:For the last decades,glial cells have been wrongly believed to have a mere passive supporting role for ***,this notion has clearly changed and it is now admitted that these cells are essential for the correct development and regulation of the nervous *** cell population are commonly subdivided in astrocytes,oligodendrocytes and *** the development,neural stem cells(NSCs)(called neuroepithelial progenitor cells or NPCs)transform into radial glia,the primary progenitor cells for neurons,astrocytes and oligodendrocytes(Zuchero and Barres,2015).Microglial cells,however,derive from a mesenchymal precursor infiltration,meaning that during brain development,precursors generated in the bone narrow invade the nervous parenchyma and differentiate into microglial cells(Zuchero and Barres,2015).This proliferative capacity is preserved in the adult mammalian brain,and neurogenic NSCs are stored in two restricted regions of the central nervous system(CNS),the forebrain subventricular zone(SVZ)and the hippocampal dentate gyrus(subgranular zone).These cells continue to produce neurons and glial cells during the adulthood,being activated after certain signals and leaving the quiescent state(Urbán et al.,2019).This process,in which glial progenitor cells differentiate into mature glia during development and in the adult brain to maintain and regulate brain function,is called gliogenesis(Ardaya et al.,2020).

Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreversible blindness, expected to affect 140 million people worldwide by the year 2040. The pathophysiology of glaucoma involves retinal ganglion cell loss, optic nerve atrophy and cupping of the optic disk, culminating in visual field loss(Boia et al., 2020). Glaucoma is a multifactorial disease in which increased intraocular pressure is the main risk factor.
