Developing electrocatalysts with fast kinetics and long-term stability for alkaline hydrogen oxidation reaction(hOR)and hydrogen evolution reaction(hER)is of considerable importance for the industrial production of green and sustainable ***,an ultrathin Ir-Sb nanowires(Ir-Sb NWs)protected by antimony oxides(SbO_(x))was synthesized as an efficient bifunctional catalyst for both hOR and hER under alkaline *** from the much higher mass activities of Ir-Sb nanowires than those of Ir nanowires(Ir NWs)and commercial Pt/C,the SbO_(x) protective layer also contributes to the maintenance of morphology and anti-CO poisoning ability,leading to the long-term cycling performance in the presence of ***,the Ir-Sb NW/SbO_(x) exhibits the highest catalytic activities,which are about 3.5 and 4.8 times to those of Ir NW/C and commercial Pt/C toward hOR,*** work provides that the ultrathin morphology and h_(2)O-occupied Sb sites can exert the intrinsic high activity of Ir and effectively optimize the absorption of Oh*both in alkaline hER/hOR electrolysis.

Cornus officinalis,a medicinal and edible plant known for its liver-nourishing properties,has shown promise in inhibiting the activation of hepatic stellate cells(hSCs),crucial indicators of hepatic fibrosis,especially when processed by high pressure wine steaming(hPWS).herein,this study aims to investigate the regulatory effects of cornus officinalis,both in its raw and hPWS forms,on inflammation and apoptosis in liver fibrosis and their underlying *** vivo liver fibrosis models were established by subcutaneous injection of CCl4,while in vitro hSCs were exposed to transforming growth factor-b(TGF-b).These findings demonstrated that cornus officinalis with hPWS conspicuously ameliorated histopathological injury,reduced the release of proinflammatory factors,and decreased collagen deposition in CCl4-induced rats compared to its raw *** ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer(UhPLC-QTOF-MS)combined with network analysis,we identified that the pharmacological effects of the changed components of cornus officinalis before and after hPWS,primarily centered on the adenosine phosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase(AMPK)*** note,cornus officinalis activated AMPK and sirtuin 3(SIRT3),promoting the apoptosis of activated hSCs through the caspase cascade by regulating caspase3,caspase6 and *** interfering RNA(siRNA)experiments showed that cornus officinalis could regulate AMPK activity and its mediated-apoptosis through *** conclusion,cornus officinalis exhibited the ability to reduce inflammation and apoptosis,with the SIRT3-AMPK signaling pathway identified as a potential mechanism underlying the synergistic effect of cornus officinalis with hPWS on anti-liver fibrosis.

Background:In recent years,there has been increased research interest in both smartphone addiction and social media addiction as well as the development of psychometric instruments to assess these ***,there is a lack of psychometric evaluation for instruments assessing smartphone addiction and social media addiction in *** present study evaluated the psychometric properties and gender measurement invariance of the Thai version of the Smartphone Application-Based Addiction Scale(SABAS)and Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale(BSMAS).Method:A total of 801 Thai university students participated in an online survey from January 2022 to July 2022 which included demographic information,SABAS,BSMAS,and the Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-Short Form(IGDS9-SF).Results:Confirmatory Factor Analyses(CFAs)found that both the SABAS and BSMAS had a one-factor *** demonstrated adequate psychometric properties of both instruments and also supported measurement invariance across ***,scores on the SABAS and BSMAS were correlated with scores on the ***:The results indicated that the SABAS and BSMAS are useful psychometric instruments for assessing the risk of smartphone addiction and social media addiction among Thai young adults.

BACKGROUND Transarterial chemoembolization(TACE)is widely performed for intermediatestage or unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma(hCC),but approximately half of patients do not respond to TACE *** describe a case of rapidly progressing of hCC after TACE and provide a possible hypothesis for this *** finding may contribute to identifying patients who obtain less benefit from TACE,thus avoiding the unnecessary waste of medical resources and treatment during the golden hour *** SUMMARY A 61-year-old woman had been diagnosed with chronic hepatitis B infection and hCC at Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage B,which had been treated by segmental hepatectomy 14 mo *** tumor recurred in the two months after *** received an initial TACE and then underwent systemic therapy with lenvatinib 8 mg daily due to an increased level of alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)after the first ***,the tumor continued to progress with an increased level of AFP,and she underwent a second TACE,after which the tumor volume did not obviously decrease on the contrast-enhanced computed tomography *** month later,she had a third TACE to control the residual hCC *** weeks after that,the hCC had increased dramatically with tea-colored urine and yellowish skin ***,the patient refused further treatment and went into hospice *** Intense hypoxia induced by TACE can trigger rapid disease progression in infiltrative hCC patients with a large tumor burden.

Objective:To scrutinize the definitions of minimal invasive surgical therapy(MIST)and to investigate urologists’knowledge,attitudes,and practices for benign prostatic obstruction ***:A 36-item survey was developed with a Delphi *** on definitions of MIST and attitudes and practices of benign prostatic obstruction surgeries were *** were invited globally to complete the online *** was achieved when more than or equal to 70%responses were“agree or strongly agree”and less than or equal to 15%responses were“disagree or strongly disagree”(consensus agree),or when more than or equal to 70%responses were“disagree or strongly disagree”and less than or equal to 15%responses were“agree or strongly agree”(consensus disagree).Results:The top three qualities for defining MIST were minimal blood loss(n=466,80.3%),fast post-operative recovery(n=431,74.3%),and short hospital stay(n=425,73.3%).The top three surgeries that were regarded as MIST were Urolift®(n=361,62.2%),Rezum®(n=351,60.5%),and endoscopic enucleation of the prostate(EEP)(n=332,57.2%).Consensus in the knowledge section was achieved for the superiority of Urolift®,Rezum®,and iTIND®over transurethral resection of the prostate with regard to blood loss,recovery,day surgery feasibility,and post-operative *** in the attitudes section was achieved for the superiority of Urolift®,Rezum®,and iTIND®over transurethral resection of the prostate with regard to blood loss,recovery,and day surgery *** on both sections was achieved for EEP as the option with the better symptoms and flow improvement,lower retreatment rate,and better suitable for prostate more than 80 ***:Minimal blood loss,fast post-operative recovery,and short hospital stay were the most important qualities for defining ***®,Rezum®,and EEP were regarded as MIST by most urologists.
