Plants are recurrently exposed to myriads of biotic and abiotic stresses leading to several biochemical and physiological variations that cause severe impacts on plant growth and *** overcome these challenges,plants activate two primary defense mechanisms,such as structural response(cell wall strengthening and waxy epidermal cuticle development)and metabolic changes,including the synthesis of anti-microbial compounds and proteins,especially the pathogenesis-related(PR)*** proteins are members of a super large family of defense proteins that exhibit antimicrobial *** over-expression in plants provides tolerance to many abiotic and biotic *** proteins have been classified into 17 families,including PR-5–also called thaumatin-like proteins(TLPs)that involve osmotin and osmotin-like proteins(OLPs).Osmotin was first identified in tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum *** 38),and then its homolog proteins(OLPs)were reported from the whole plant *** and OLPs are ubiquitous in all fruits and *** expression has been detected in various plant tissues and *** phylogenetic tree studies revealed that the osmotin group originated from ***,the atomic structure of OLP has shown similarity to thaumatin and TLPs from monocot and eudicot species,which determines a strong evolutionary pressure in flowering plants for conserving thaumatin *** is associated with the role of these proteins against pathogens as defense molecules and to induce stress tolerance to plants against several biotic and abiotic *** this review,we have briefly described the development history of osmotin,including its function and mechanism to induce biotic and abiotic stress tolerance to plants.

Analytic and numerical techniques are presented to analyze the influence of temperature and wall slip conditions on the unsteady flow and heat transfer via viscous fluid squeezed between two parallel disks in the presence of an applied magnetic *** governing partial differential equations for momentum and heat transfer are reduced to a system of coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations using similarity *** homotopy analysis method(HAM)is then utilized to find explicit series solution of the resulting *** convergence of the obtained solution is carefully *** check the reliability of the method the same problem is also solved by using the shooting method and an excellent agreement is observed between the two sets of *** of various parameters of practical importance on the velocity and temperature profiles is studied and portrayed *** of skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number are tabulated by assigning different values to various emerging parameters.

In the present study, the operational lifetime of a solid oxide fuel(SOFC) short stack is predicted by investigating the performance degradation of both the short stack and its cells throughout 1000 h at 800°C. The short stack and integral cell voltages are continuously measured during the long-term test, with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) conducted every 200 h. The short stack voltage decreased rapidly for the initial 200–300 h and afterwards, it decreased at a slow rate due to the increase in the Ohmic and polarization resistances in the same manner. Scanning electron microscopy results show that there is no delamination or cracking among constituent layers of the short-stack cells. The single degradation effects of the Ni coarsening in the anode, cation migration and surface segregation in cathode and oxide scale growth in metallic interconnect mesh are successfully integrated into a comprehensive lifetime prediction model. The experimentally measured voltage degradation data of the short stack fits well with the developed mathematical model and allows the successful prediction of the lifetime up to 50,000 h.

Weather models are essential tools for checking of the effect of the weather elements in terms of their effect on the production of the crop. This research is an attempt to see the effect of only two variables i.e., temperature and rainfall for the division Faisalabad (semitropical region of Pakistan).The model fitted is of the linear form:the values of a,b, c have been found. The expected yield has been calculated by using the aridity indices (X1 and X2 ) and the result in the form of coefficient of determination R2 has been found equal to 0.166. The significance of the regression coefficient has been tested, which shows that the contribution to the yield from aridity index at germination and that at ripening is *** wheat yields are the results of a wide variety of variables, most of which show varying degree of relationship with one another, some positive and some negative in terms of output. These variables may be technology, fertilizers, pesticides, epidemics, kinds of seeds used, market price of crop and the area under cultivation etc, which can be the source of variation in the wheat yield. Since rainfall during germination and temperature at the ripening periods are the necessary factors for the yield of wheat, for this purpose these parameters have been studied in order to their contribution.

A substitution box(S-Box)is a crucial component of contemporary cryptosystems that provide data protection in block *** the moment,chaotic maps are being created and extensively used to generate these SBoxes as a chaotic map assists in providing disorder and resistance to combat cryptanalytical *** this paper,the construction of a dynamic S-Box using a cipher key is proposed using a novel chaotic map and an innovative tweaking *** projected chaotic map and the proposed tweak approach are presented for the first time and the use of parameters in their workingmakes both of these dynamic in *** tweak approach employs cubic polynomials while permuting the values of an initial S-Box to enhance its cryptographic *** of the parameters are provided using the cipher key and a small variation in values of these parameters results in a completely different unique *** analysis and exploration confirmed that the projected chaoticmap exhibits a significant amount of chaotic *** security assessment in terms of bijectivity,nonlinearity,bits independence,strict avalanche,linear approximation probability,and differential probability criteria are utilized to critically investigate the effectiveness of the proposed S-Box against several *** proposed S-Box’s cryptographic performance is comparable to those of recently projected S-Boxes for its adaption in real-world security *** comparative scrutiny pacifies the genuine potential of the proposed S-Box in terms of its applicability for data security.

For precise and accurate patient dose delivery,the dosimetry system must be calibrated properly according to the recommendations of standard dosimetry protocols such as TG-51 and TRS-398. However, the dosimetry protocol followed by a calibration laboratory is usually different from the protocols that are followed by different clinics, which may result in variations in the patient *** prime objective in this study was to investigate the effect of the two protocols on dosimetry *** measurements were performed for a Co-60 teletherapy unit and a high-energy Varian linear accelerator with 6 and 15 MV photon and 6, 9, 12, and 15 MeV electron beams, following the recommendations and procedures of the AAPM TG-51 and IAEA TRS-398 dosimetry protocols. The dosimetry systems used for this study were calibrated in a Co-60 radiation beam at the Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory(SSDL) PINSTECH,Pakistan, following the IAEA TRS-398 protocol. The ratio of the measured absorbed doses to water in clinical setting,D_w(TG-51/TRS-398), was 0.999 and 0.997 for 6 and15 MV photon beams,whereas these ratios were 1.013,1.009, 1.003, and 1.000 for 6, 9, 12, and 15 MeV electron beams, respectively. This difference in the absorbed dosesto-water D_w ratio may be attributed mainly due to beam quality(K_Q) and ion recombination correction factor.

Ground-breaking optical wireless power transfer(OWPT)techniques have gained significant attention from both academia and industry in recent *** remote systems through laser diodes(LDs)to either operate devices or recharge batteries offers several *** LDs can remove the burden of carrying extra batteries and can reduce mission time by removing battery swap-time and *** from its appealing benefits,laser power transfer(LPT)is still a challenging task due to its low transfer *** this paper,we discuss the necessity and feasibility of OWPT and discuss several projects,working principle,system design,and *** addition,we show that OWPT is an essential element to supply power to Internet-of-Things(IoT)*** also highlight the impacts of dynamic *** outline several OWPT techniques including optical beamforming,distributed laser charging(DLC),adaptive-DLC(ADLC),simultaneous lightwave information and power transfer(SLIPT),Thing-to-Thing(T2T)OWPT,and high intensity laser power beaming(HILPB).We also deal with laser selection,hazard analysis,and received photovoltaic(PV)cell selection for OWPT ***,we discuss a range of open challenges and counter *** believe that this review will be helpful in integrating research and eliminating technical uncertainties,thereby promoting progress and innovation in the development of OWPT technologies.
