Background As demand for high quality animal feed continues to raise,it becomes increasingly important to mini-mize the environmental impact of feed *** appealing sustainable approach to provide feed fractions is to use organic residues from agro-food *** this regard,volatile fatty acids(VFAs)such as acetic,propionic and butyric acids,derived from bioconversion of organic residues can be used as precursors for production of micro-bial protein with ruminant feed inclusion *** study aims to investigate the in vitro digestibility of the Asper-gillus oryzae edible fungal biomass cultivated on VFAs-derived from anaerobic digestion of *** produced fungal protein biomass,along with hay clover silage and rapeseed meal were subjected to various in vitro assays using two-stage Tilley and Terry(TT),gas,and bag methods to evaluate and compare its digestibility for application in ruminant *** The produced fungal biomass contained a higher crude protein(CP)(41%–49%)and rather similar neutral detergent fiber(NDF)(41%–56%)compared to rapeseed *** rumen in vitro dry matter digestibility(IVDMD)of the fungal biomass in the TT method ranged from 82%to 88%(statistically similar to that of the gas method(72%to 85%)).The IVDMD of fungal biomass were up to 26%and 40%greater than that of hay clover silage and rapeseed meal,*** type of substrate and bag method had pronounced effect on the fermentation products(ammonium-N(NH4+-N),total gas and VFAs).Fungal biomass digestion resulted in the highest release of NH4+-N(340–540 mg/L)and the ratio of acetate to propionate ratio(3.5)among subjected *** The results indicate that gas method can be used as a reliable predictor for IVDMD as well as fermenta-tion ***,the high IVDMD and fermentation product observed for Aspergillus oryzae fungal biomass digestion,suggest that the supplementation of fungal biomass will contribute to improving the rumen diges

Objective:Given the importance of having knowledge on the hemovigilance process in nursing care,the present study was conducted to investigate the effect of the hemovigilance education on nursing students’knowledge using a conceptual *** current research was a semi-experimental ***:The samples consisted of 60 nursing students who were selected based on the inclusion criteria using the census sampling ***,these participants were randomly assigned into the two groups:experimental and control *** required data were collected before,immediately after,and 1 month after the education using the hemovigilance knowledge ***,the validity of this questionnaire was confirmed,and its reliability using the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was reported as *** education process was conducted during a 4-week ***,the collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics by SPSS ***:The results reveal that a significant difference existed between the knowledge scores of students in the experimental group compared with that of the control group during different times(including before,immediately after,and 1 month after the education)(P<0.0001).Of note,hemovigilance education had a significant effect on the students’knowledge(P<0.0001).Conclusions:Due to the effect of the hemovigilance education on the students’knowledge and by applying the conceptual map in the easy transfer of the educational concepts,it is recommended that the results of the present study be used to strengthen the theoretical and clinical education of nursing students.

The purpose of this research is to look into the augmentation of silica nanoparticles(NPs)with low salinity(LowSal)brine for EOR.A series of analyses,including oil/water interfacial tension(IFT)and rock wettability tests were undertaken to determine an optimal dispersion to flood into a porous carbonate core with a defined pore size *** 60℃and 14.5 psi,the maximum drop(i.e.,roughly 12.5 mN/m)in oil/water IFT by 0.3 wt%brine occurred,but when 0.08 wt%silica was added to the brine,the IFT reduced to 14.51 mN/m at 60℃and 14.5 *** wettability analysis revealed a significant reduction in contact angle,from 142°to 72°and 59°,using 0.04 and 0.08 wt%silica in LowSal brine,but the extent reduced by brine alone was *** results of rock pore size characterization were discussed in terms of the accomplishment of operating EOR in the porous medium in the presence of *** addition of 0.08 wt%silica to the injected brine resulted in an additional oil recovery of 16.3%OOIP as well as a significant shift in the endpoints/cross-points of the oil/water relative permeability *** findings of this research might help improve oil recovery from asphaltenic oil reservoirs or,more environmentally friendly,remediate petroleum crude-oil polluted soil.
