This paper presents a comprehensive review of emerging technologies for the internet of things(IoT)-based smart *** begin by summarizing the existing surveys and describing emergent technologies for the agricultural IoT,such as unmanned aerial vehicles,wireless technologies,open-source IoT platforms,software defined networking(SDN),network function virtualization(NFV)technologies,cloud/fog computing,and middleware *** also provide a classification of IoT applications for smart agriculture into seven categories:including smart monitoring,smart water management,agrochemicals applications,disease management,smart harvesting,supply chain management,and smart agricultural ***,we provide a taxonomy and a side-by-side comparison of the state-ofthe-art methods toward supply chain management based on the blockchain technology for agricultural ***,we present real projects that use most of the aforementioned technologies,which demonstrate their great performance in the field of smart ***,we highlight open research challenges and discuss possible future research directions for agricultural IoTs.

A new correlation-based approach for ensemble selection in random forests

Purpose-Ensemble methods have been widely used in the field of pattern recognition due to the difficulty offinding a single classifier that performs well on a wide variety of *** the effectiveness of thesetechniques,studies have shown that ensemble methods generate a large number of hypotheses and thatcontain redundant classifiers in most *** works proposed in the state of the art attempt to reduce allhypotheses without affecting ***/methodology/approach-In this work,the authors are proposing a pruning method that takes intoconsideration the correlation between classifiers/classes and each classifier with the rest of the *** authorshave used the random forest algorithm as trees-based ensemble classifiers and the pruning was made by atechnique inspired by the CFS(correlation feature selection)***-The proposed method CES(correlation-based Ensemble Selection)was evaluated onten datasets from the UCI machine learning repository,and the performances were compared to sixensemble pruning *** results showed that our proposed pruning method selects a smallensemble in a smaller amount of time while improving classification rates compared to the ***/value-CES is a new ordering-based method that uses the CFS *** selects,in a shorttime,a small sub-ensemble that outperforms results obtained from the whole forest and the other state-of-thearttechniques used in this study.

Internet of Things(IoTs)is a big world of connected objects,including the small and low-resources devices,like sensors,as well as the full-functional computing devices,such as servers and routers in the core *** the emerging of new IoT-based applications,such as smart transportation,smart agriculture,healthcare,and others,there is a need for making great efforts to achieve a balance in using the IoT resources,including Computing,Communication,and *** paper provides an overview of the convergence of Computing,Communication,and Caching(CCC)by covering the IoT technology *** first,we give a snapshot of technology trends in communication,computing,and *** well,we describe the convergence in sensors,devices,and *** the aspect of convergence,we discuss the relationship between CCC technologies in collecting,indexing,processing,and storing data in ***,we introduce the three dimensions of the IoTs based on *** explore different existing technologies that help to solve bottlenecks caused by a large number of physical devices in ***,we propose future research directions and open problems in the convergence of communication,computing,and cashing with sensing and actuating devices.

The electro-thermal actuators(ETA)are smart devices that can convert electric energy into mechanical energy under electro-heating stimulation,showing great potential in the fields of soft robotics,artificial muscle and aerospace *** this study,to build a low-voltage activating,fast responding ETA,a robust and flexible carbon nanotube film(CNTF)with excellent electrical and thermal conductivity was adopted as the conductive ***,an asymmetric bilayer structured ETA was manufactured by coating a thin layer of polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)with high coefficient of thermal expansion(9.3×10^(-4)℃^(−1)),low young’s modulus(2.07 MPa)on a thin CNTF(~11μm).The as-produced CNTF/PDMS composite ETA exhibited a large deformation(bending angle~324°)and high electro heating performance(351℃)at a low driving voltage of 8 V within~12 *** actuated movement and the generated heat could be controlled by adjusting the driving voltages and showed almost the same values in 20 ***,the influences of the PDMS thickness and driving voltage on CNTF/PDMS composite ETA performance were systematically *** CNTF/PDMS soft robotic hand which can lift 5.1 times and crab 1.3 times of its weight demonstrated its potential capability.

Acoustic wave resonators are promising candidates for gravimetric ***,they generally suffer from strong acoustic radiation in liquid,which limits their quality factor and increases their frequency *** article presents an acoustic radiation-free gravimetric biosensor based on a locally resonant surface phononic crystal(SPC)consisting of periodic high aspect ratio electrodes to address the above *** acoustic wave generated in the SPC is slower than the sound wave in water,hence it prevents acoustic propagation in the fluid and results in energy confinement near the electrode *** energy confinement results in a significant quality factor improvement and reduces frequency *** proposed SPC resonator is numerically studied by finite element analysis and experimentally implemented by an electroplating-based fabrication *** results show that the SPC resonator exhibits an in-liquid quality factor 15 times higher than a conventional Rayleigh wave resonator at a similar operating *** proposed radiation suppression method using SPC can also be applied in other types of acoustic wave ***,this method can serve as a general technique for boosting the in-liquid quality factor and sensing performance of many acoustic biosensors.

The discharge and charge mechanisms of rechargeable Li-O2 batteries have been the subject of extensive investigation recently. However, they are not fully understood yet. Here we report a systematic study of the morphological transition of Li2O2 from a single crystalline structure to a toroid like particle during the discharge-charge cycle, with the help of a theoretical model to explain the evolution of the Li2O2 at different stages of this process. The model suggests that the transition starts in the first monolayer of Li2O2, and is subsequently followed by a transition from particle growth to film growth if the applied current exceeds the exchange current for the oxygen reduction reaction in a Li-O2 cell. Furthermore, a sustainable mass transport of the diffusive active species （e.g., O2 and Li＋） and evolution of the underlying interfaces are critical to dictate desirable oxygen reduction （discharge） and evolution （charge） reactions in the oorous carbon electrode of a Li-O2 cell.

An Experimental Analysis of Overcoming Obstacle in Human Walking

In this paper, an experimental analysis of overcoming obstacle in human walking is carried out by means of a motion capture system. In the experiment, the lower body of an adult human is divided into seven segments, and three markers are pasted to each segment with the aim to obtain moving trajectory and to calculate joint variation during walking. Moreover, kinematic data in terms of displacement, velocity and acceleration are acquired as well. In addition, ground reaction forces are measured using force sensors. Based on the experimental results, features of overcoming obstacle in human walking are ana- lyzed. Experimental results show that the reason which leads to smooth walking can be identified as that the human has slight movement in the vertical direction during walking; the reason that human locomotion uses gravity effectively can be identified as that feet rotate around the toe joints during toe-off phase aiming at using gravitational potential energy to provide propulsion for swing phase. Furthermore, both normal walking gait and obstacle overcoming gait are characterized in a form that can provide necessary knowledge and useful databases for the implementation of motion planning and gait planning towards overcoming obstacle for humanoid robots.

This paper deals with a design approach of a gait training machine based on a quantitative gait analysis. The proposed training machine is composed of a body weight support device and a cable-driven parallel robot. This paper is focused on the cable-driven robot, which controls the pose of the lower limb through an orthosis placed on the patient＇s leg. The cable robot reproduces a normal gait movement through the motion of the orthosis. A motion capture system is used to perform the quantitative analysis of a normal gait, which will be used as an input to the inverse dynamic model of the cable robot. By means of an optimization algorithm, the optimal design parameters, which minimize the tensions in the cables, are determined. Two constraints are considered, i.e., a non-negative tension in the cables at all times, and a free cable/end-effector collision. Once the optimal solution is computed, a power analysis is carried out in order to size the robot actuators. The proposed approach can be easily extended for the design study of a similar type of cable robots.

Mycotoxins and their derivatives since their discoveries and until the present time are behind unspecified economic and medical *** are classified according to their physical–chemical and toxicological characters in the most dangerous row of the *** aflatoxins are in part responsible,of irreversible medical disasters that are not easily manageable such as cancer of the liver and kidneys,and in the other part,of losses in the stored cereal *** on these crucial findings,monitoring of this toxin became imperative in post-harvest food products,during storage,during transformation chain and even during the long phases of *** of this toxin is delivered by detection methods using very advanced technologies to respond in the shortest possible *** addition,the knowledge of factors supporting the biosynthesis of aflatoxins such as the temperature,moisture content,concentration of nitrogen and carbon,and the molecules responsible for the genetic control of the synthesis will be reflected later in the choice of bio-control *** control is currently based on new strategies using the bioactives substances of the plants,the lactic bacteria and some strains of actinomycetes that have good inhibiting activity against aflatoxins with fewer side effects on *** the other hand,this brief review summarizes the results of new studies demonstrating the toxicity of the toxin,new detection methods and bio-control.
