Thedeployment of the Internet of Things(IoT)with smart sensors has facilitated the emergence of fog computing as an important technology for delivering services to smart environments such as campuses,smart cities,and smart transportation *** computing tackles a range of challenges,including processing,storage,bandwidth,latency,and reliability,by locally distributing secure information through end *** of endpoints,fog nodes,and back-end cloud infrastructure,it provides advanced capabilities beyond traditional cloud *** smart environments,particularly within smart city transportation systems,the abundance of devices and nodes poses significant challenges related to power consumption and system *** address the challenges of latency,energy consumption,and fault tolerance in these environments,this paper proposes a latency-aware,faulttolerant framework for resource scheduling and data management,referred to as the FORD framework,for smart cities in fog *** framework is designed to meet the demands of time-sensitive applications,such as those in smart transportation *** FORD framework incorporates latency-aware resource scheduling to optimize task execution in smart city environments,leveraging resources from both fog and cloud *** simulation-based executions,tasks are allocated to the nearest available nodes with minimum *** the event of execution failure,a fault-tolerantmechanism is employed to ensure the successful completion of *** successful execution,data is efficiently stored in the cloud data center,ensuring data integrity and reliability within the smart city ecosystem.

Localisation of machines in harsh Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)environment is necessary for various ***,a novel localisation algorithm is proposed for noisy range measurements in IIoT *** position of an unknown machine device in the network is estimated using the relative distances between blind machines(BMs)and anchor machines(AMs).Moreover,a more practical and challenging scenario with the erroneous position of AM is considered,which brings additional uncertainty to the final position ***,the AMs selection algorithm for the localisation of BMs in the IIoT network is *** those AMs will participate in the localisation process,which increases the accuracy of the final location ***,the closed‐form expression of the proposed greedy successive anchorization process is derived,which prevents possible local convergence,reduces computation,and achieves Cramér‐Rao lower bound accuracy for white Gaussian measurement *** results are compared with the state‐of‐the‐art and verified through numerous simulations.

Saindha salt is considered to be more advantageous than the other edible salts for the patients suffering from diabetes,blood pressure and kidney *** explore the constituent elements of this salt,laser induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) has been exploited for its qualitative and quantitative *** third harmonic(355 nm) of a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser has been used to produce the saindha salt plasma and the time integrated optical emission spectra were registered using a set of six miniature spectrometers covering the spectral range of 230-805 *** spectroscopic analysis of the emission spectra predominately revealed numerous neutral or singly ionized emission lines of Ca,Mg,Na,K,Fe,Sr,Si,Li and *** laser produced plasma was characterized by calculating the electron temperature from the Boltzmann plots and the electron number density from the Stark broadened line profile as a function of laser irradiance and distance from the target *** relative concentration of the constituent elements was extracted by the integrated line intensities of the strongest spectral line of each element using the self-calibration-LIBS(SC-LIBS) and one-line calibration free-LIBS(OLCF-LIBS) *** cross-validation,the LIBS results have been compared with that obtained from the inductively coupled plasma-mass spectroscopy(ICP-MS) showing good agreement.

Forest cover change in the mountainous region is driven by a variety of anthropogenic and natural *** Hindu Kush-Himalayan Mountains has experienced a considerable vegetation cover change due to intensive human activities,such as population growth,proximate causes,accessibility,unstable political situations,government policy failure and *** present study seeks to find out the impact of population growth and road network expansion on forest cover of Palas valley based on remotely sensed data and employing geospatial *** in forest cover were determined by classifying time-series satellite images of Landsat and Sentinel 2 *** images of October 1980,2000,2010 and 2017 were classified into six land cover classes and then the impact of population growth and accessibility on forest cover was ***,forest cover and land-use change detection map was prepared using classified images of 1980 and *** data were collected mainly from field visits(ground verification),census reports,Communication and Works Department,*** imageries were obtained from the United States Geological Survey’s websites and classified in ERDAS imagine 2014 and ESRI ArcGIS 10.2.1 using supervised classification-maximum likelihood *** of this study revealed that a substantial reduction in forest cover has taken place mainly in the proximity of human *** the average,during the study period,annually more than 460 hectares of forest area has been converted into other uses.

The health care system encompasses the participation of individuals,groups,agencies,and resources that offer services to address the requirements of the person,community,and population in terms of *** to the rising debates on the healthcare systems in relation to diseases,treatments,interventions,medication,and clinical practice guidelines,the world is currently discussing the healthcare industry,technology perspectives,and healthcare *** gain a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare systems research paradigm,we offered a novel contextual topic modeling approach that links up the CombinedTM model with our healthcare Bert to discover the contextual topics in the domain of *** research work discovered 60 contextual topics among them fteen topics are the hottest which include smart medical monitoring systems,causes,and effects of stress and anxiety,and healthcare cost estimation and twelve topics are the ***,thirty-three topics are showing in-significant *** further investigated various clusters and correlations among the topics exploring inter-topic distance maps which add depth to the understanding of the research structure of this scientific *** current study enhances the prior topic modeling methodologies that examine the healthcare literature from a particular disciplinary *** further extends the existing topic modeling approaches that do not incorporate contextual information in the topic discovery process adding contextual information by creating sentence embedding vectors through transformers-based *** also utilized corpus tuning,the mean pooling technique,and the hugging face *** method gives a higher coherence score as compared to the state-of-the-art models(LSA,LDA,and Ber Topic).

In this investigation local clay from Cherat mines, Nowshera District, NWFP, Pakistan, has been tested as a pozzolanic material in high strength Portland cement. Thermal treatments were performed as a means of activation of the clay. It was found that thermal treatment of the clay can increase its pozzolanic activity. Different blended mortars, containing different amounts of clay, activated at different temperatures were studied for compressive strength, consistency, and setting times. It was concluded that the mechanical properties of the blended cements were mainly governed by the percentage of incorporation of the calcined clay. Blended cement composition has been for-mulated, with optimal results of 20% calcined clay at a temperature of 600℃.

In this article, flow and heat transfer inside a corrugated cavity is analyzed for natural convection with a heated inner obstacle. Thermal performance is analyzed for Cu O–water inside a partially heated domain by defining the constraint along the boundaries. For nanofluid analysis, the Koo and Kleinstreuer Li(KKL) model is implemented to deal with the effective thermal conductivity and viscosity. A heated thin rod is placed inside the corrugated cavity and the bottom portion of the corrugated cavity is partially heated. The dimensionless form of nonlinear partial differential equations are obtained through the compatible transformation along with the boundary constraint. The finite element method is executed to acquire the numerical solution of the obtained dimensional system. Streamlines, isotherms and heat transfers are analyzed for the flow field and temperature distribution. The Nusselt number is calculated at the surface of the partially heated domain for various numerical values of emerging parameters by considering the inner obstacle at cold, adiabatic and heated conditions. The computational simulation was performed by introducing various numerical values of emerging parameters. Important and significant results have been attained for temperature and velocities(in both x-and y-directions) at the vertically and horizontally mean positions of the corrugated duct.

During the past decade,rapid advances in wireless communication technologies have made it possible for users to access desired services using hand-held *** providers have hosted multiple servers to ensure seamless online services to *** ensure the security of this online communication,researchers have proposed several multi-server authentication schemes incorporating various cryptographic *** to the low power and computational capacities of mobile devices,the hash-based multi-server authenticated key agreement schemes with offline Registration Server(RS)are the most efficient ***,Kumar-Om presented such a scheme and proved its security against all renowned ***,we find that their scheme bears an incorrect login phase,and is unsafe to the trace attack,the Session-Specific Temporary Information Attack(SSTIA),and the Key Compromise Impersonation Attack(KCIA).In fact,all of the existing multi-server authentication schemes(hash-based with offline RS)do not withstand *** deal with this situation,we propose an improved hash-based multi-server authentication scheme(with offline RS).We analyze the security of the proposed scheme under the random oracle model and use the t4Automated Validation of Internet Security Protocols and Applications''(AVISPA)*** comparative analysis of communication overhead and computational complexity metrics shows the efficiency of the proposed scheme.

Background:Many research papers have utilized Species Distribution Models to estimate a species’current and future geographic distribution and environmental *** study aims to(a)understand critical features of SDMs used to model endemic and rare species and(b)to identify possible constraints with the collected *** present systematic review examined how SDMs are used on endemic and rare plant species to identify optimal practices for future ***:The evaluated literature(79 articles)was published between January 2010 and December *** number of papers grew considerably over *** studies were primarily conducted in Asia(41%),Europe(24%),and Africa(2%).The bulk of the research evaluated(38%)focused on theoretical ecology,climate change impacts(19%),and conservation policy and planning(22%).Most of the papers were published in publications devoted to biodiversity conservation,ecological or multidisciplinary *** degree of uncertainty was not disclosed in most studies(81%).Conclusion:This systematic review provides a broad overview of the emerging trends and gaps in the SDMs *** majority of studies failed to present uncertainties and error ***,when model performance estimates are given,the model results will be highly effective,allowing for more assurance in the predictions they ***,based on our systematic review,we recommend that in the future rare and endemic SDMs should represent uncertainty levels and estimates of errors in the modelling process.
