BACKGROUND Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that possess the potential for self-renewal with the capacity to differentiate into multiple *** humans,their limited numbers pose a challenge in fulfilling the necessary demands for the regeneration and repair of damaged tissues or *** suggested that mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs),necessary for repair and regeneration via transplantation,require doses ranging from 10 to 400 million ***,the limited expansion of MSCs restricts their therapeutic *** To optimize a novel protocol to achieve qualitative and quantitative expansion of MSCs to reach the targeted number of cells for cellular transplantation and minimize the limitations in stem cell therapy *** Human umbilical cord(hUC)tissue derived MSCs were obtained and *** cultured cells were subjected to the following evaluation pro-cedures:Immunophenotyping,immunocytochemical staining,trilineage differentiation,population doubling time and number,gene expression markers for proliferation,cell cycle progression,senescence-associatedβ-galactosidase assay,human telomerase reverse transcriptase(hTERT)expression,mycoplasma,cytomegalovirus and endotoxin *** Analysis of pluripotent gene markers Oct4,Sox2,and Nanog in recultured hUC-MSC revealed no significant *** immunophenotypic markers CD90,CD73,CD105,CD44,vimentin,CD29,Stro-1,and Lin28 were positively expressed by these recultured expanded MSCs,and were found negative for CD34,CD11b,CD19,CD45,and *** recultured hUC-MSC population continued to expand through passage *** gene expression of Pax6,BMP2,and TGFb1 showed no significant variation between recultured hUC-MSC ***,a significant increase(P<0.001)in the mitotic phase of the cell cycle was observed in recultured *** senescence markers(hTERT expression andβ-galactosidase activity)did not show any negative effect on recultured hUC-

The use of the Internet of Things(IoT)is expanding at an unprecedented scale in many critical applications due to the ability to interconnect and utilize a plethora of wide range of *** critical infrastructure domains like oil and gas supply,intelligent transportation,power grids,and autonomous agriculture,it is essential to guarantee the confidentiality,integrity,and authenticity of data collected and ***,the limited resources coupled with the heterogeneity of IoT devices make it inefficient or sometimes infeasible to achieve secure data transmission using traditional cryptographic ***,designing a lightweight secure data transmission scheme is becoming *** this article,we propose lightweight secure data transmission(LSDT)scheme for IoT *** consists of three phases and utilizes an effective combination of symmetric keys and the Elliptic Curve Menezes-Qu-Vanstone asymmetric key agreement *** design the simulation environment and experiments to evaluate the performance of the LSDT scheme in terms of communication and computation *** and performance analysis indicates that the LSDT scheme is secure,suitable for IoT applications,and performs better in comparison to other related security schemes.

Reducing the production costs of clean energy carriers such as hydrogen through scalable water electrolysis is a potential solution for advancing the hydrogen *** the various material candidates,our group demonstrated transition-metal-based materials with tunable electronic characteristics,various phases,and ***,electrochemical water oxidation using Cu_(2)Se-V_(2)O_(5) as a non-precious metallic electrocatalyst via a hydrothermal approach is *** water-splitting performance of all the fabricated electrocatalysts was evaluated after direct growth on a stainless-steel *** electrochemically tuned Cu_(2)Se-V_(2)O_(5) catalyst exhibited a reduced overpotential of 128 mV and provided a reduced Tafel slope of 57 mV·dec^(−1) to meet the maximum current density of 250 mA·cm^(−2).The optimized strategy for interfacial coupling of the fabricated Cu_(2)Se-V_(2)O_(5) catalyst resulted in a porous structure with accessible active sites,which enabled adsorption of the intermediates and afforded an effective charge transfer rate for promoting the oxygen evolution ***,the combined effect of the catalyst components provided long-term stability for over 110 h in an alkaline solution,which makes the catalyst promising for large-scale practical *** aforementioned advantages of the composite catalyst overcome the limitations of low conductivity,agglomeration,and poor stability of the pure catalysts(Cu2Se and V2O5).

BACKGROUND Smartwatches have become readily accessible tools for detecting atrial fibrillation(AF).There remains limited data on how they affect psychosocial outcomes and engagement in older *** examine the health behavior outcomes of stroke survivors prescribed smartwatches for AF detection stratified by *** We analyzed data from the Pulsewatch study,a randomized controlled trial that enrolled patients(≥50 years)with a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack and CHA2DS2-VASc≥*** participants were equipped with a cardiac patch monitor and a smartwatch-app dyad,while control participants wore the cardiac patch monitor for up to 44 *** evaluated health behavior parameters using standardized tools,including the Consumer Health Activation Index,the Generalized Anxiety Disorder questionnaire,the 12-Item Short Form Health Survey,and wear time of participants categorized into three age groups:Group 1(ages 50-60),Group 2(ages 61-69),and Group 3(ages 70-87).We performed statistical analysis using a mixedeffects repeated measures linear regression model to examine differences amongst age *** Comparative analysis between Groups 1,2 and 3 revealed no significant differences in anxiety,patient activation,perception of physical health and wear *** use of smartwatch technology was associated with a decrease in perception of mental health for Group 2 compared to Group 1(β=-3.29,P=0.046).CONCLUSION Stroke survivors demonstrated a willingness to use smartwatches for AF ***,among these study participants,the majority did not experience negative health behavior outcomes or decreased engagement as age increased.

带混合连接的装配式混凝土剪力墙抗震性能研究

基于完成的带水平连接的装配式混凝土剪力墙(precast concrete shear walls with horizontal connection,PCSW-HC)试验研究,提出了一种带混合连接的装配式混凝土剪力墙(precast concrete shear walls with hybrid connection,PCSW-HVC),其中,水平连接采用高强螺栓的“强”连接方式,竖向连接采用钢剪切键(steel shear key,SSK)的“弱”连接方式。首先,结合已完成的试验,建立带水平连接的装配式混凝土剪力墙的数值模型,通过对比试验与数值分析结果,验证了材料本构关系的选取、各部件相互作用关系设置的正确性。进一步,采用同样的建模方法,建立带混合连接的装配式混凝土剪力墙的数值模型。分析了不同竖缝型式和增设钢剪切键对带混合连接的装配式混凝土剪力墙抗震性能的影响,揭示了其损伤失效模式。结果表明:单片剪力墙模块分割成较小尺寸模块拼装后,抗侧刚度有一定程度的减小,但刚度退化更缓慢,剪力墙墙板损伤更小,具有更好的变形能力;在剪力墙模块之间的竖缝中增设钢剪切键后,提高抗侧刚度的同时还可以改善其刚度退化行为,与不带钢剪切键模型相比,单片剪力墙(Single模型)和竖向滑动双片剪力墙(Sliding模型)峰值割线刚度分别提高了14.9%和11.4%;带混合连接的装配式混凝土剪力墙的损伤失效模式为“钢剪切键塑性屈服-墙板模块底部损伤-墙板模块破坏”,实现了钢剪切键塑性屈服耗能与墙板塑性损伤转移的“双功能”控制。
