Urethrocutaneous fistula may complicate hypospadias *** noticed that double-layered preputial dartos flaps added to tubularized incised plate urethroplasty can reduce the risk of urethrocutaneous *** aim of this study was to compare the outcomes of tubularized incised plate urethroplasty with double-layered preputial dartos flaps to with single-layered local fascial flaps in preventing urethrocutaneous fistula.A retrospective cohort study was conducted between January 2017 and December 2020 at Jordan University Hospital(Amman,Jordan).Boys who were aged between 6 months and 5 years,diagnosed with distal hypospadias,and not circumcised were *** primary outcome was the occurrence of urethrocutaneous fistula in patients who underwent tubularized incised plate urethroplasty with a double-layered fascial *** results showed a total of 163 boys with distal hypospadias;among them,116 patients underwent tubularized incised plate urethroplasty with a single-layered fascial flap,and 47 underwent tubularized incised plate urethroplasty with a double-layered fascial *** development of urethrocutaneous fistula was higher in the group receiving tubularized incised plate urethroplasty with a single-layered fascial flap than in the group receiving tubularized incised plate urethroplasty with a double-layered fascial flap after 1 month,6 months,and 12 months(6.9%vs 0,10.3%vs 0,and 5.2%vs 0,respectively),and the difference after 6 months was statistically significant(P=0.02).

Hepatitis C is a contagious blood-borne infection,and it is mostly asymptomatic during the initial ***,it is difficult to diagnose and treat patients in the early stages of *** disease’s progression to its last stages makes diagnosis and treatment more *** this study,an AI system based on machine learning algorithms is presented to help healthcare professionals with an early diagnosis of hepatitis *** dataset used for our Hep-Pred model is based on a literature study,and includes the records of 1385 patients infected with the hepatitis C *** in this dataset received treatment dosages for the hepatitis C virus for about 18 months.A former study divided the disease into four main *** stages have proven helpful for doctors to analyze the liver’s *** traditional way to check the staging is the biopsy,which is a painful and time-consuming *** article aims to provide an effective and efficient approach to predict hepatitis C *** this purpose,the proposed technique uses a fine Gaussian SVM learning algorithm,providing 97.9%accurate results.

Rigid contact lens fitting based on keratometry readings in keratoconus patients:predicting formula

AIM:To find a simple mathematical correlation between the lens base curve(BC) and keratometry findings(krf).METHODS:This retrospective study included 400 keratoconic eyes(350 patients) previously fit with rigid contact lenses at an academic eye center over a five year *** patients were classified into five groups based on the keratometry findings(krf8,krf-krs(difference between two keratometry;flat and steep)= 0.3-0.6,krf-krs >0.6mm as groups 1 to 5,*** linear regression and Munro’s correlation coefficient were employed to defer the ***:A linear correlation could be found in all groups except for patients in group *** group 1,BC=0.211×krf+ *** group 2,BC=0.456×krf+*** group 4,BC= 0.321×krf+*** group 5,BC=0.337×krf+ ***:The development of new formulas for RGP fitting enables ophthalmologists to work with confidence and prevents unnecessary and frequent lens *** customary lens fitting methods are needed to be replaced by new formulas,which help to save time and costs.

This paper presents a handwritten document recognition system based on the convolutional neural network *** today’s world,handwritten document recognition is rapidly attaining the attention of researchers due to its promising behavior as assisting technology for visually impaired *** technology is also helpful for the automatic data entry *** the proposed systemprepared a dataset of English language handwritten character *** proposed system has been trained for the large set of sample data and tested on the sample images of user-defined handwritten *** this research,multiple experiments get very worthy recognition *** proposed systemwill first performimage pre-processing stages to prepare data for training using a convolutional neural *** this processing,the input document is segmented using line,word and character *** proposed system get the accuracy during the character segmentation up to 86%.Then these segmented characters are sent to a convolutional neural network for their *** recognition and segmentation technique proposed in this paper is providing the most acceptable accurate results on a given *** proposed work approaches to the accuracy of the result during convolutional neural network training up to 93%,and for validation that accuracy slightly decreases with 90.42%.

A new organic sulfate (C8H22N2)SO42H2O denoted DPAES is obtained by interaction of H2SO4 with the organic molecule 2-[Diisopropylamino] ethylamine. We describe its crystallographic and structural features. DPAES is triclinic, Pī, with the lattice parameters a = 6.8841(2)?, b = 8.4966(2)?, c = 12.0804(3)?, = 81.824(1)o, = 88.007(1)o, = 78.649(1)o, V = 685.72(3)?3, and Z = 2. Its atomic arrangement is described as inorganic chains of SO42- units and water molecules, these chains are interconnected by organic groups so as to build layers parallel to the (001) planes. The IR data of DPAES are reported and discussed according to the theoretical group analysis and by comparison with IR results of similar compounds. The coupled TG-DTA thermal study shows the departure of two water molecule, con- firming the hydrated character of this compound.

Polyphenol content and antioxidant capacity in organically and conventionally grown vegetables

Objective:To evaluate the polyphenol content and antioxidant capacity of ethanol extracts of some organically and conventionally grown leafy ***:The ethanol extracts of kailan(Brassica alboglabra),bayam(Amaranthus spp.)and sawi(Brassica parachinensis)were tested for total phenolic content(TPC),total flavonoid content(TFC),and total anthocyanin content(TAC)and the antioxidant capacity of the extracts measured using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl ***:In TPC test,sawi extract showed the highest phenolic content while bayam contained the least phenolic content for both organically and conventionally grown *** TFC test,organically grown sawi extract showed the highest flavonoid content,while organically grown kailan extract showed the least flavonoid content among all types of *** flavonoid content of the conventionally grown types of vegetable extracts was the highest in kalian and the least in *** 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging activity,the activity increased with the increasing concentration of each *** conventionally grown vegetable extracts showed higher antioxidant activity compared to their organically grown *** of conventionally grown sawi showed the highest percentage inhibition followed by conventionally grown kailan and organically grown *** were no correlation between TPC,TFC,TAC and IC_(25)of both organically and conventionally grown ***,there was a correlation between TAC and IC_(25)of conventionally grown vegetable *** results showed relatively similar polyphenol content between organically and conventionally grown vegetable ***,the conventionally grown vegetables extracts generally have higher antioxidant activity compared to the organically grown ***:These results suggested that the different types of agricultural practice had a significant contribution to the polyphenol content and antioxidant activity in

Lattice Boltzmann Simulation of Magnetic Field Effect on Electrically Conducting Fluid at Inclined Angles in Rayleigh-Bénard Convection

The magneto-hydrodynamics(MHD)effect is studied at different inclined angles in Rayleigh-Bénard(RB)convection inside a rectangular enclosure using the lattice Boltzmann method(LBM).The enclosure is filled with electrically conducting fluids of different *** characteristics are defined by Prandtl number,*** considered Pr values for this study are 10 and *** influence of other dimensionless parameters Rayleigh numbers Ra=10^(3);10^(4);10^(5);10^(6) and Hartmann numbers Ha=0,10,25,50,100,on fluid flow and heat transfer,are also investigated considering different inclined anglesφof magnetic field by analyzing computed local Nusselt numbers and average Nusselt *** results of the study show the undoubted prediction capability of LBM for the current *** simulated results demonstrate that the augmentation in heat transfer is directly related to Ra values,but it is opposite while observing the characteristics of Ha ***,it is also found thatφhas a significant impact on heat transfer for different ***,isotherms are found to be always parallel to the horizontal axis at Ra=10^(3) as conduction overcomes the convection in the heat transfer,but this behaviour is not seen at Ra=10^(4) when Ha>***,at Ra=10^(6),oscillatory instability appears but LBM is still able to provide a complete map of this predicted beha*** appropriate validation with previous numerical studies demonstrates the accuracy of the present approach.

Performance Analysis of a Vertical Axis Tidal Turbine With Flexible Blades

In this study, a vertical axis tidal turbine with flexible blades is investigated. The focus is on analyzing the effect of flexible airfoils types and blade flexibility on turbine net output power. To this end, five different flexible airfoils （Symmetric and Non-symmetric） are employed. The results show that the use of a thick flexible symmetric airfoil can effectively increase output power compared to that achievable with a conventional rigid blade. Moreover, the use of highly flexible blades, as opposed to less flexible or rigid blades, is not recommended.

The study deals with the evaluation of physical defense and aversion factor of some range plants in the United Arab Emirates. We collected a wealth of knowledge about the vegetation composition, as well as their palatability and grazing preferences of the livestock. By direct field observation, the type of stock was recorded and the palatability of each species was estimated. Aversion was also assessed by actual field observations as a ratio between the palatability rate and the degree of protection. Fifty plant species were recorded in the study area. These species were sorted into six groups according to their mode of defense for protection against grazing animals. Group I consist of 12 species （50%） with modified parts for protection;Group II has 13 species （26%） which have acquired defensive parts. Group III with 16 species （32%）;groups IV and V each with 4 species （8%） include plants with leathery leaves, odour and/our hairy parts. One species （2%） belonging to group VI occur under rocks and trees, to avoid grazing by animals （hiding）. Thirteen species （26%） of the studied species are highly palatable to grazing animals, 14 species （28%） are palatable, 12 species （24%） are of low palatability, while, 11 species （22%） are unpalatable. Twenty-six species （32%） of the 50 species has an aversion factor （AF） of zero. 10 species （38.5%） due to protection, 14 species （53.8%） due to palatability and 2 species （4%） due to both. Twenty-six species （52%） of the studied species have AF of 1. 14 species （30%） due to protection, 26 species （53.8%） due to palatability while, 6 species （7.7%） due to both. 13 species （26%） of the studied species have an aversion factor AF of 0.5.
