Earliest megafossils of scandent calamoid palms from the Deccan intertrappean Beds of Central india and their paleobiogeographic implications

Two well-preserved petrified palm stems from the latest m.a.trichtian(Late Cretaceous) to earliest Danian(Early Paleocene) sediments of the Deccan intertrappean Beds of madhya Pradesh, Central india are described. Their significant anatomical characteristics include a Calamus-type general stem pattern,the presence of well-preserved fibrovascular bundles(fvbs) with two wide metaxylem vessel elements(230 μm-250 μm) and one phloem strand, uniform density of fvbs, lack of continuity between protoxylem.a.d metaxylem vessel elements, and an absence of centrifugal differentiation of sclerenchymatous fibrous *** features reveal a close resemblance to those of extant genera of scandent Calamoideae. The permineralized stems are described as a new species namely, Palmoxylon calamoides Kumar, Roy et Khan sp. *** fossils represent the oldest reliable fossil records of this family, supporting their Gondwanan origin, their importance in tracing their migration pathways from india to Europe and other continents after the docking of the indian subcontinent with Eurasia during the Paleocene, and an “Out-of-india” dispersal hypothesis. Today the subfamily Calamoideae is disjunctly occurred in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and South America, but the poor deep-time fossil record of this subfamily with a small number of Cenozoic fossils makes hypotheses concerning its origin and dispersal difficult to evaluate. The present study has significant implications for the origin and migration of this subfamily and the paleoclimate.

Unveiling vulnerable smart contracts:Toward profiling vulnerable smart contracts using genetic algorithm.a.d generating benchmark dataset

Smart contracts(SCs)are crucial in maintaining trust within blockchain ***,existing methods for analyzing SC vulnerabilities often lack accuracy and effectiveness,while approaches based on Deep Neural Networks(DNNs)struggle with detecting complex vulnerabilities due to limited data *** paper proposes a novel approach for analyzing SC *** method leverages an advanced form of the Genetic Algorithm(GA)and includes the development of a comprehensive benchmark dataset consisting of 36,670 Solidity source code *** primary objective of our study is to profile vulnerable SCs *** achieve this goal,we have devised an analyzer called SCsVulLyzer based on GAs,designed explicitly for profiling ***,we have carefully curated a new dataset encom.a.sing a wide range of examples,ensuring the practical validation of our ***,we have established three distinct taxonomies that cover SCs,profiling techniques,and feature *** taxonomies provide a systematic classification and analysis of information,improving the efficiency of our *** methodology underwent rigorous testing through experimentation,and the results demonstrated the superior capabilities of our model in detecting *** to traditional and DNN-based approaches,our approach achieved higher precision,recall,and F1-score,which are widely used metrics for evaluating model *** all these metrics,our model showed exceptional *** customization and adaptations we implemented within the GA significantly enhanced its *** approach detects SC vulnerabilities more efficiently and facilitates robust *** promising results highlight the potential of GA-based profiling to improve the detection of SC vulnerabilities,contributing to enhanced security in blockchain networks.

Computational calculations using density functional theory(DFT) were performed for the first time using the full potential linearized augmented plane wave plus local orbital method(FP-LAPW + LO) to determine the structural, elastic, electronic and magnetic properties of europium-based cubic perovskites EuYO_(3)(Y=Cr, mn, Fe). The exchange correlation potentials of GGA along with some analytical methods were adopted for the computation of structural and elastic properties. moreover, the GGA + U formalism was also added for obtaining more precise electronic and magnetic properties, particularly to address the Eu-4f and Y-3d orientations in the spin-polarized double cell symmetry. The observed lattice parameters of these compounds are consistent with experiment. The observed bulk moduli predict that EuCrO_(3) is harder and less compressible than EumnO_(3) and EuFeO_(3). The calculated tolerance factors of these compounds are within the cubic symmetry range. Our computed critical radius of EuCrO_(3) shows that EuCrO_(3) has a larger migration energy. Based on their elastic properties, these compounds are ductile in nature. We also computed the thermal properties of these compounds. The band structures and density of states show that these compounds are metallic in character. The lowest ground state energy and magnetic moments of these compounds expose their ferromagnetic nature. The metallic nature and strong ferromagnetism of these compounds make them promising applicants for application in spintronic.
