traditional ceramic materials are generally brittle and not flexible with high production costs,which seriously hinders their practical *** nanofiber ceramic aerogels are highly desirable for applications in extreme environments,however,the integration of multiple functions in their preparation is extremely *** tackle these challenges,we fabricated a multifunctional siC@siO_(2) nanofiber aerogel(siC@siO_(2) NFA)with a threedimensional(3D)porous cross-linked structure through a simple chemical vapor deposition method and subsequent heat-treatment *** as-prepared siC@siO_(2) NFA exhibits an ultralow density(~11 mg cm^(-3)),ultra-elastic,fatigue-resistant and refractory performance,high temperature thermal stability,thermal insulation properties,and significant strain-dependent piezoresistive sensing ***,the siC@siO_(2) NFA shows a superior electromagnetic wave absorption performance with a minimum refection loss(RL_(min))value of-50.36 d B and a maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EAB_(max))of 8.6 *** successful preparation of this multifunctional aerogel material provides a promising prospect for the design and fabrication of the cutting-edge ceramic materials.

the Prediction of Propagation Loss of FM Radio station Using Artificial Neural Network

In order to calculate the propagation loss of electromagnetic waves produced by a transmitter, a variety of models based on empirical and deterministic formulas are used. In this study, one of the artificial neural networks models, Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, which is quite effective for predicting the propagation is used and the results obtained by this algorithm are compared with the simulation results based on ItU-R 1546 and Epstein-Peterson models. In this paper, the propagation loss of FM radio station using artificial neural networks models is studied depending on the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. For training the artificial neural network, as the input data;range (r), effective antenna height (h) and terrain irregularity (△H) parameters are involved and measured values are treated as the output data. the good results obtained in the city area reveal that the artificial neural network is a very efficient method to compute models which integrate theoretical and experimental data. Meanwhile, the results show that an ANN model performs very well compared with theoretical and empiric propagation models with regard to prediction accuracy, complexity, and prediction time. By comparing the results, the RMsE for Neural Network Model using Levenberg-Marquardt is 9.57, and it is lower than that of classical propagation model using Epstein-Peterson for which RMsE is 10.26.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is an idiopathic inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract. the pathophysiology of IBD is probably the result of the complex interaction of genetic susceptibility and environmental influences. there is a well-known risk of thrombosis in patients with IBD. We present the case of a 53-year-old man with ulcerative colitis, who spontaneously developed intracranial sinus thrombosis that was treated with low molecular weight heparin. Literature was searched to assess the frequency and characteristics of cerebral sinus thrombosis in IBD and the role of certain etiopathological factors in such thrombotic patients.

ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x) nanosheets have attracted significant attention for their potential in electromagnetic wave absorption(EWA).However,their inherent self-stacking and exorbitant electrical conductivity inevitably lead to serious impedance mismatch,restricting their EWA ***,the optimization of impedance matching becomes *** this work,we developed polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)@ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x)@siO_(2) composites with a sandwich-like core–shell structure by coating siO_(2) on PMMA@ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x).the results demonstrate that the superiority of the siO_(2) layer in combination with PMMA@ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x),outperforming other relative graded distribution structures and meeting the requirements of EWA *** resulting PMMA@ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x)@siO_(2) composites achieved a minimum reflection loss of-58.08 dB with a thickness of 1.9 mm,and an effective absorption bandwidth of 2.88 *** analysis revealed that the structural design of siO_(2) layer not only optimized impedance matching,but also synergistically enhanced multiple loss mechanisms such as interfacial polarization and dipolar ***,this work provides valuable insights for the future preparation of high-performance electromagnetic wave absorbing ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x)-based composites.

Colostrum supplementation as an Aid for Improving Health and growth Performance of Preweaned Holstein Dairy Calves

the adjective of this study was to determine the effect of partial replacement of whole milk with second- and third-milking colostrum on the health status and growth performance of preweaned Holstein dairy calves. A minimum of 110 calves of 2 - 3 days old Holstein Friesian calves were enrolled and randomly allocated to two treatment groups 1) Cs—colostrum supplement group and 2) UC—unsupplemented control group. the Cs group of calves received pooled second and third milking colostrum with Brix reading between 19 and 24% (mean 21.8% ± 1.75%) as colostrum supplement (one liter mixed with 3 L of whole milk), and UC group of calves received 4 L of whole milk in each of the 2 daily meals for 14 days. serum Igg levels were determined to evaluate passive transfer of immunity. Milk and grain consumption was recorded for 28 days by research personnel. All calves were weighted at entry of the trial, at 28 days and at weaning (65 days). Calves receiving supplemental colostrum had less diarrhea and respiratory disease than control calves. Also, the results indicated that health problems were associated with low serum Igg levels and low-weight calves. grain consumption and average daily gain (ADg) over 28 days of life were greater in Cs group of calves compared with UC group of calves. Colostrum supplementation during the first 14 days of life in calves was effective in reading diarrheal and bovine respiratory diseases and in the use of antimicrobials. Further studies are needed to identify the molecular mechanisms involved in beneficial effects of colostrum supplementation on calf growth and health.

Rhabdomyolysis-related acute kidney injury in patients with COVID- 19

BACKgROUND Viral and bacterial infections may be complicated by rhabdomyolysis,which has a spectrum of clinical presentations ranging from asymptomatic laboratory abnor-malities to life-threatening conditions such as renal *** viral injury as well as inflammatory responses may cause rhabdomyolysis in the course of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).When presented with acute kidney injury(AKI),rhabdomyolysis may be related to higher morbidity and *** to compare rhabdomyolysis-related AKI with other AKIs during *** A total of 115 patients with COVID-19 who had AKI were evaluated *** patients had a definite diagnosis of rhabdomyolysis(i.e.,creatine kinase levels increased to>5 times the upper normal range with a concomitant increase in transaminases and lactate dehydrogenase).these patients were aged 61.0±19.1 years and their baseline creatinine levels were 0.87±0.13 mg/*** were treated according to national COVID-19 treatment *** were compared with patients with COVID-19 who had AKI due to other *** For patients with rhabdomyolysis,creatinine reached 2.47±1.17 mg/dL during follow-up in *** these patients,13.3%had AKI upon hospital admission,and 86.4%developed AKI during hospital *** peak C-reactive protein reached as high as 253.2±80.6 mg/L and was higher than in patients with AKI due to other reasons(Ptin and procalcitonin levels were also higher for patients with rhabdomyolysis(P=0.02 and P=0.002,respective-ly).the mortality of patients with rhabdomyolysis was calculated as 73.3%,which was higher than in other patients with AKI(18.1%)(P=0.001).CONCLUsION Rhabdomyolysis was present in 13.0%of the patients who had AKI during COVID-19 ***-related AKI is more proinflammatory and has a more mortal clinical course.

Improved Analytical Methods for Determination of Residues of Nitrapyrin and 6-Chloropicolinic Acid in Different Crop Matrices by Liquid Chromatography-tandem Mass spectrometry

Novel analytical methods were developed for the determination of nitrapyrin and 6-chloropicolinic acid (6-CPA) residues in agricultural products. Nitrapyrin was extracted with hexane: toluene (1:1, v/v) and 6-CPA with 0.1 N sodium hydroxide (NaOH). For nitrapyrin, samples were cleaned with silica solid phase extraction (sPE) and for 6-CPA with C18 or carbon sPE. Analysis was performed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectroscopy (LC-Ms/Ms) with external calibration (0.010 to 0.0010 µg∙mL−1 for nitrapyrin and 0.0050 to 0.00025 µg∙mL−1 for 6-CPA). Recoveries for nitrapyrin and 6-CPA were 68% - 102% and 66% - 90%, respectively. Nitrapyrin was detected in celery and onion (−1) and 6-CPA in onion, mustard greens and lettuce (−1). Lower level method validation (LLMV) for nitrapyrin and 6-CPA was 0.020 µg∙g−1 and 0.050 µg∙g−1, respectively. the methods presented in this study are robust and were utilized for the registration of nitrapyrin on agricultural commodities in the United states.

A survey of sediment Fineness and Moisture Content in the soyang Lake Floodplain Using gPs Data

soyang Lake is the largest lake in Republic of Korea bordering Chuncheon,Yanggu,and Inje in gangwon *** is widely used as an environmental resource for hydropower,flood control,and water ***,we conducted a survey of the floodplain of soyang Lake to analyze the sediments in the *** used global positioning system(gPs)data and aerial photography to monitor sediment deposits in the soyang Lake *** from three gPs units were compared to determine the accuracy of sampling location *** samples were collected at three sites:two in the eastern region of the floodplain and one in the western region.A total of eight samples were collected:three samples were collected at 10 cm intervals to a depth of 30 cm from each site of the eastern sampling point,and two samples were collected at depths of 10 and 30 cm at the western sampling *** were collected and analyzed for vertical and horizontal trends in particle size and moisture *** sizes of the sediment samples ranged from coarse to very coarse sediments with a negative slope,which indicate eastward movement from the *** probability of a breach was indicated by the high water content at the eastern side of the floodplain,with the eastern sites showing a higher probability than the western *** results of this study indicate that analyses of grain fineness,moisture content,sediment deposits,and sediment removal rates can be used to understand and predict the direction of breach movement and sediment distribution in soyang Lake.

A rare complication of a rare disease: Amyloidosis in situs inversus

A 31-year-old female admitted with productive cough and progressively increasing edema in her legs. Four years ago she had the diagnosis of situs inversus (sI) totalis. she had6.5 g/day proteinuria in 24-hour urine analysis. High resolution computed tomography revealed bronchiectatic areas in the left lung. In renal biopsy, kongo and amyloid AA antibody positivity was detected in arteriolar walls and mesangial areas. the patient is currently being followed with ramipril and colchicine treatments. Primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) and resultant sI totalis are very rare anomalies characterized by the total inversion of all organs and chronic bronchiectasis. there are very few reports on the association of sI totalis with nephrotic syndrome. Patients with sI totalis and chronic bronchiectasis have increased risk of AA amyloidosis and possibly end stage renal disease and thus these patients should be regularly followed with proteinuria and serum creatinine levels.
