The global and regional prevalence of hepatitis C and B co-infections among prisoners living with HIV:a systematic review and meta-analysis

Background Hepatitis B virus(HBV)and hepatitis C virus(HCV)infections are common among individuals with human immune deficiency virus(HIV)infection *** this study,we did a systematic review and meta-analysis of the published literature to estimate the global and regional prevalence of HCV,HBV and HIV coinfections among HIV-positive *** We searched PubMed via MEDLINE,Embase,the Cochrane Library,SCOPUS,and Web of science(ISI)to identify studies that reported the prevalence of HBV and HCV among prisoners living with *** used an eight-item checklist for critically appraisal studies of prevalence/incidence of a health problem to assess the quality of publications in the included 48 cross-sectional and 4 cohort *** used random-effect models and meta-regression for the meta-analysis of the results of the included *** The number of the included studies were 50 for HCV-HIV,and 23 for HBV-HIV *** pooled prevalence rates of the coinfections were 12%[95%confidence interval(CI)9.0–16.0]for HBV-HIV and 62%(95%CI 53.0–71.0)for *** HIV-positive prisoners who reported drug injection,the prevalence of HBV increased to 15%(95%CI 5.0–23.0),and the HCV prevalence increased to 78%(95%CI 51.0–100).The prevalence of HBV-HIV coinfection among prisoners ranged from 3%in the East Mediterranean region to 27%in the American ***,the prevalence of HCV-HIV coinfections among prisoners ranged from 6%in Europe to 98%in the East Mediterranean *** Our findings suggested that the high prevalence of HBV and HCV co-infection among HIV-positive prisoners,particularly among those with a history of drug injection,varies significantly across the *** results of Meta-regression analysis showed a sliding increase in the prevalence of the studied co-infections among prisoners over the past decades,rising a call for better screening and treatment programs targeting this high-risk *** prevent the above coin

We study genuine entanglement among three qubits undergoing a noisy process that includes dissipation, squeezing,and decoherence. We obtain a general solution and analyze the asymptotic quantum states. We find that most of these asymptotic states can be genuinely entangled depending upon the parameters of the channel, memory parameter, and the parameters of the initial states. We study Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger(GHZ) states and W states, mixed with white noise,and determine the conditions for them to be genuinely entangled at infinity. We find that for these mixtures, it is possible to start with a bi-separable state(with a specific mixture of white noise) and end with genuine entangled states. However, the memory parameter μ must be very high. We find that in contrast to the two-qubit case, none of the three-qubit asymptotic states for n → ∞ are genuinely entangled.

Objectives Anxiety and depression(A&D)are common mental disorders with high economical and health *** study aimed to investigate the prevalence and the incidence rate of A&D symptoms and their relationship with sociodemographic and other risk factors and comorbidities in adults living in southeastern *** A population-based cohort study with random cluster household survey sampling *** Second round of Kerman Coronary Artery Disease Risk Factors Study(KERCADRS)(2014-2018)performed in Southeastern,*** We recruited 9997 participants(15-80 years)in the second round of the study,from whom 2820 persons were the people who also participated in the first round of KERCADRS in *** age-standardised A&D prevalence was measured among all participants,and the 5-year A&D incidence rate was measured in those who were free from A&D in the first round in 2009-2012 and were at risk of A&D in the *** relationship between A&D and demographic characteristics,smoking,opium use,obesity and physical activity was assessed by logistic regression *** Overall,the prevalence of anxiety(48.1%to 16.4%,p<0.001)and depression(5.9%to 1.3%,p<0.001)decreased between the two *** highest prevalence of anxiety was among widowed(31.4%),unemployed(21.3%),obese(19.4%),and opium users(17.4%).Young adults,women,those divorced or widowed,and those with obesity and low physical activity had a higher chance of developing *** 5-year incidence rate(person/1000 person-years)was 15.0 for anxiety and 3.9 for *** Despite the overall decrease in the prevalence of A&D symptoms in last 5 years in the area,young adults,women,unemployed,opium users,people with low physical activity and those with obesity had a higher chance of developing anxiety and are in need of more targeted interventions.

This paper investigates an efficient immersed boundary method(IBM)for multiple-core CPU machines with local grid refinement for the calculation of heat transfer between fluids and finite-sized *** fluid momentum equations are solved by using the fractional step method,while the energy equation is solved by employing the second-order Adams-Bashforth *** efficient load balancing between the CPU cores,the coupling between particles and fluid is obtained by applying the body force in the fluid equations,which depends on the solid volume fraction of particles contained in each grid cell,and then by linearly interpolating the particle temperature and velocity on the fluid grid cell(in place of the delta function commonly used in literature).Several test cases from the literature are studied,and good agreement is observed between the simulation results and the ***,a scaling study on multiple core machines is performed,demonstrating the proposed IBM's capabilities for a significant reduction in processing time.

A new method based on phononic crystals is presented to detect the concentration of heavy water(D_(2)O)in an H_(2)O-D_(2)O *** have been obtained and analyzed in the concentration range of 0%-10%and 90%-100%D_(2)O.A proposed structure of tungsten scatterers in an aluminum host is *** order to detect the target material,a cavity region is considered as a sound wave resonator in which the target material with different concentrations of D_(2)O is *** changing the concentration of D_(2)O in the H_(2)O-D_(2)O mixture,the resonance frequency undergoes a frequency *** 1%change in D_(2)O concentration in the H_(2)O-D_(2)O mixture causes a frequency change of about 120 *** finite element method is used as the numerical method to calculate and analyze the natural frequencies and transmission spectra of the proposed *** performance evaluation index shows a high Q factor up to 1475758 and a high sensitivity up to 13075,which are acceptable values for sensing *** other figures of merit related to the detection performance also indicate high-quality performance of the designed sensor.

Heat storage properties of phase change materials(PCMs) are essential characteristics that perform a key role in thermal heat energy storage *** thermal properties of PCMs can be improved by developing metal foam/PCM *** addition of metal foam in PCMs has a significant effect on the thermal characteristics of *** this paper,the heat storage properties of two different metal foam/PCM composites were experimentally *** behavior of paraffin in metal foam(copper and iron-nickel)/paraffin composites concerning pure paraffin at a constant heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2) in three directions simultaneously(x,y,and z) was *** was infiltrated into copper and iron-nickel foams to develop composite materials which resulted in enhancing the thermal conductivity of the paraffin.A comparative analysis is made on the heat storage properties of paraffin in copper and iron-nickel foams/paraffin *** temperature distribution during the phase transition process is experimentally *** comparison indicates that temperature uniformity in copper foam/paraffin composite is better than in iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite and pure paraffin at the same heat *** results show that at heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2),the heat storage time for copper foam/paraffin composite is 20.63% of that of iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite.
