This study was conducted in selected sites of District Bahawalnagar namely,Shaheed Chowk,Chak40/F,Chak 163/7 R and Fareedkot Tiba between March 2019 and August 2019.Sampling techniques included recording of burrows,flooding,burrow exaction,noose traps and pit fall traps were used to capture Uromast yx hardwickii.During this survey150 individuals were captured from study area for morphological measurement and population estimation.The average snout to vent length(SVL)of male,female and juveniles were(172.50±19.71)mm,(155.50±18.72)mm and(86.25±11.72)mm respectively.The average weight of male,female and juvenile was(93.06±8.56)g,(88.16±7.95)g and(40.16±4.30)g respectively.The relative abundance(Pi)of males,females and juveniles were 0.53,0.33 and 0.13.Indian spiny tailed lizard(U.hardwickii)has been listed in the IUCN Red list and CITES.Major threats to the species in the study area are increase in urbanization,habitat fragmentation,illegal hunting for meat and fat.In this regard strict implementation of the Wildlife act is needed to protect the wildlife of Punjab.Furthermore,comprehensive surveys are required in throughout Punjab to declare conservation status of U.hardwickii.

Heat storage properties of phase change materials(PCMs) are essential characteristics that perform a key role in thermal heat energy storage systems.The thermal properties of PCMs can be improved by developing metal foam/PCM composites.The addition of metal foam in PCMs has a significant effect on the thermal characteristics of PCMs.In this paper,the heat storage properties of two different metal foam/PCM composites were experimentally examined.The behavior of paraffin in metal foam(copper and iron-nickel)/paraffin composites concerning pure paraffin at a constant heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2) in three directions simultaneously(x,y,and z) was studied.Paraffin was infiltrated into copper and iron-nickel foams to develop composite materials which resulted in enhancing the thermal conductivity of the paraffin.A comparative analysis is made on the heat storage properties of paraffin in copper and iron-nickel foams/paraffin composites.Inner temperature distribution during the phase transition process is experimentally evaluated.This comparison indicates that temperature uniformity in copper foam/paraffin composite is better than in iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite and pure paraffin at the same heat flux.Experimental results show that at heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2),the heat storage time for copper foam/paraffin composite is 20.63% of that of iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite.

The linear characteristics of the unstable mode of ion-acoustic waves are examined in an electrostatic electron-ion plasma composed of streaming hot electrons,non-streaming cold electrons and dynamical positive ions.The plasma under consideration is modeled by using a non-gyrotropic nonextensive q-distribution function in which the free energy source for wave excitation is provided by the relative directed motion of streaming hot electrons with respect to the other plasma species.In the frame work of kinetic model,a linearized set of Vlasov-Poisson's equations are solved to obtain the analytical expressions for dispersion relation and Landau damping rate.The threshold condition for the unstable ion-acoustic wave is derived to assess the stability of the wave in the presence of nonextensive effects.Growth in the wave spectrum and nontrivial effects of q-nonextensive parameter on the ion-acoustic waves can be of interest for the readers in the regions of Saturns's magnetosphere.

The paper presents a new protocol called Link Stability and Transmission Delay Aware(LSTDA)for Flying Adhoc Network(FANET)with a focus on network corridors(NC).FANET consists of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)that face challenges in avoiding transmission loss and delay while ensuring stable communication.The proposed protocol introduces a novel link stability with network corridors priority node selection to check and ensure fair communication in the entire network.The protocol uses a Red-Black(R-B)tree to achieve maximum channel utilization and an advanced relay approach.The paper evaluates LSTDA in terms of End-to-End Delay(E2ED),Packet Delivery Ratio(PDR),Network Lifetime(NLT),and Transmission Loss(TL),and compares it with existing methods such as Link Stability Estimation-based Routing(LEPR),Distributed Priority Tree-based Routing(DPTR),and Delay and Link Stability Aware(DLSA)using MATLAB simulations.The results show that LSTDA outperforms the other protocols,with lower average delay,higher average PDR,longer average NLT,and comparable average TL.

Investigating the promising chalcogenide materials for the development of memory and advanced neuromorphic computing applications is a critical step in realizing electronic memory and synaptic devices that can efficiently emulate biological synaptic functions.However,the assessment of monochalcogenide materials for the fabrication of highly scalable memory and electronic synaptic devices that can accurately mimic synaptic functions remain limited.In the present study,we investigated the thickness-dependent resistive switching(RS)behavior of conductive bridge random access memory(CBRAM)based on a monochalcogenide GeSe switching medium for its possible application in high-performance memory and electronic synapses.GeSe thin films of different thicknesses(6,13,24,35,47,and 56 nm)were deposited via sputtering to fabricate CBRAM devices with a stacking sequence of Ag/GeSe/Pt/Ti/SiO_(2).The devices exhibited compliance current(CC)-free and electroforming-free RS with highly stable endurance and retention characteristics with no major degradation.All devices with a thickness of 6 nm had a low-resistance state(LRS),which required an initial reset to ensure reliable switching cycles.The devices with a thickness of 47 nm and above exhibited the co-existence of unipolar resistive switching(U-RS)and bipolar resistive switching(B-RS)with the CC-controlled transition between the two switching behaviors.Multilevel resistance states in the 24-nm device between a high-resistance state(HRS)and an LRS were achieved by controlling the set-CC(from 5 mA to CC-free)and the reset stop voltage(from–0.5 to–1.0 V)during the set and reset processes,respectively.The analog RS behavior of the device was further investigated with appropriate pulse measurements to emulate vital synaptic functions,including long-term potentiation(LTP),long-term depression(LTD),spike-rate-dependent plasticity(SRDP),spike-timing-dependent plasticity(STDP),paired-pulse facilitation(PPF),paired-pulse depression(PPD)and post-tetanic potentiation(PTP).Overall,the deta

The analytical lower bound of Spectral Efficiency(SE)of downlink transmission of the Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output(Ma-MIMO)system is analyzed.In this paper,we derive some novel and approximate mathematical expressions for the lower bound of the SE of a Ma-MIMO with linear precoding schemes,i.e.,Minimum Mean Square Error(MMSE)and Zero-Forcing(ZF).For simulation analysis of the SE,we consider three joint users and antenna scheduling algorithms,namely,the semi-orthogonal,random,and distance-based user scheduling algorithms,whereas the antennas are selected based on Maximum Signal to Noise Ratio(MSNR)with scheduled users.The channel between the user and the transmitter is assumed to have characteristics of Small Scale Fading(SSF)and Large Scale Fading(LSF)with the Rayleigh fading model.We investigate the effect of the variation of transmitting SNR,the number of base station antennas(M),and the radius(R)of the cell area on the SE.We simulate the downlink transmission of Ma-MIMO and compare the simulation and analytical results.It is observed that the trends of variation of both results are similar to the variation of identical factors,and the difference between the simulated and analytical lower bounds of the SE is approximately 1-1.5 bits.The analytical lower bound is smaller than the simulation result.

Regulation of blood glucose levels and body fat is critical for survival.Leptin circulates freely in blood and controls body weight and food intake mainly through hypothalamic receptors and regulates glucose metabolism in the liver both directly through leptin receptors and indirectly via the hypothalamic receptors of central nervous system.Leptin affects food intake regulation and eventually glucose metabolism, lipometabolism,endocrine and immune functions, reproductive function, adipose tissue metabolism and energy expenditure.Leptin also exerts peripheral effects directly on glucose metabolism and gluconeogenesis.Most of obese human subjects have elevated plasma levels of leptin associated to the size of their total adipose tissue mass.Hence gluconeogenic function may be an essential factor in the regulation of nutritional intake and weight gain.The aim of this review is therefore to identify and module the possible effects of leptin with special application in gluconeogenesis.In addition, this review includes the study of fat consumption and energy expenditure in the body.Specific modulation of leptin receptors and adipose tissues functioning could have important inference on therapeutic strategies.

Study of the O-mode in a relativistic degenerate electron plasma

Using the linearized relativistic Vlasov-Maxwell equations,a generalized expression for the plasma conductivity tensor is derived.The dispersion relation for the O-mode in a relativistic degenerate electron plasma is investigated by employing the Fermi-Dirac distribution function.The propagation characteristics of the O-mode（cut offs,resonances,propagation regimes,harmonic structure） are examined by using specific values of the density and the magnetic field that correspond to different relativistic dense environments.Further,it is observed that due to the relativistic effects the cut off and the resonance points are shifted to low frequency values,as a result the propagation regime is reduced.The dispersion relations for the non-relativistic and the ultra-relativistic limits are also presented.
