Estimating Compositions and Nutritional Values of Seed Mixes Based on Vision Transformers

The cultivation of seed mixtures for local pastures is a traditional mixed cropping technique of cereals and legumes for producing,at a low production cost,a balanced animal feed in energy and protein in livestock *** considerably improving the autonomy and safety of agricultural systems,as well as reducing their impact on the environment,it is a type of crop that responds favorably to both the evolution of the European regulations on the use of phytosanitary products and the expectations of consumers who wish to increase their consumption of organic ***,farmers find it difficult to adopt it because cereals and legumes do not ripen synchronously and the harvested seeds are heterogeneous,making it more difficult to assess their nutritional *** efforts therefore remain to be made to acquire and aggregate technical and economical references to evaluate to what extent the cultivation of seed mixtures could positively contribute to securing and reducing the costs of herd *** work presented in this paper proposes new Artificial Intelligence techniques that could be transferred to an online or smartphone application to automatically estimate the nutritional value of harvested seed mixes to help farmers better manage the yield and thus engage them to promote and contribute to a better knowledge of this type of *** this purpose,an original open image dataset has been built containing 4,749 images of seed mixes,covering 11 seed varieties,with which 2 types of recent deep learning models have been *** results highlight the potential of this method and show that the best-performing model is a recent state-of-the-art vision transformer pre-trained with self-supervision(Bidirectional Encoder representation from Image Transformer).It allows an estimation of the nutritional value of seed mixtures with a coefficient of determination R^(2)score of 0.91,which demonstrates the interest of this type of approach,for its possible use

The effect of enzymatic crosslinking by microbial transglutaminase on the physico-chemical properties of gelatin-based films incorporated with lysozyme were *** in the crosslinking degree of gelatin with microbial transglutaminase concentration in film-forming suspensions was correlated with a decrease of films ***,the enhancement in crosslinking resulted in a decrease of the solubility in water,as well as of the extent of swelling degree,and of the water vapor permeability of films and in an increase of films tensile *** kinetics of release at 4◦C of lysozyme from control non-reticulated films and reticulated films to either sodium acetate buffer,or 2%(w/v)agar gels in direct contact were ***,the kinetics of release of lysozyme were always slower from crosslinked films than from control *** difference was higher for lysozyme release to agar gels,which was dominated by Fickian *** crosslinking by microbial transglutaminase of gelatin-based films incorporated with lysozyme can thus effectively control the release of this food preservative.

Impact of homogeneous pathologic response to preoperative chemotherapy in patients with multiple colorectal liver metastases

AIM To analyze the homogeneity of pathologic response to preoperative chemotherapy(PRPC) after chemotherapy in patients with multiple liver metastases(LM).METHODS From September 2011 to August 2014,patients with at least two LM undergoing preoperative chemotherapy prior to resection were included in this retrospective,single-center study. The endpoints were PRPC homogeneity(according to both the Rubbia-Brandt and MD Anderson classifications),the impact of PRPC on the MDT decision,factors associated with homogeneous PRPC and overall survival of patients with vs. without homogeneous *** seventy-three patients with a total of 88 liver resections(including 15 two-stage procedures) were included in the study. The homogeneous PRPC rate was 55% according to the Rubbia-Brandt classification and 53% according to the MD Anderson classification. The MDT decision was modified by the PRPC in only 2.7% of patients(n = 2). CONCLUSION The PRPC was homogeneous in only one half of patients and had very little influence on the MDT decision.

Multidisciplinary management of Mirizzi syndrome with cholecystobiliary fistula: the value of minimally invasive endoscopic surgery

Mirizzi syndrome, a rare complication of gallstones, is defined by obstruction of the main bile duct. This obstruction may worsen and thus result in cholecystobiliary fistula. Surgical management of Mirizzi syndrome is complicated by the presence of inflamed tissue around the hepatic pedicle, making it impossible to distinguish between the main bile duct and the gallbladder. The surgeon＇s first task is to perform subtotal cholecystotomy（from the fundus of the gallbladder to the neck） without trying to locate the cystic duct. In a second step, the gallstones are extracted and the main bile duct is then repaired. In most cases, a T-tube is used to drain the main bile duct, and abdominal drainage is left in place（in case a bile fistula forms）. This study concluded that preoperative drainage of the main bile duct in the treatment of Mirizzi syndrome types II and III is feasible and might help to decrease the postoperative complication rate.

一、引言本文主要讨论有关通过小半径曲线的车辆运行情况,这是一个广大铁路科技人员很感兴趣的研究课题。车轴与转向架构架之间大的纵向刚度K_x>3×10~7N/m)与小的踏面等效锥度(γe。<0.15)耦合,在直线上可获得高的临界速度,而在曲线上却使车轮与外轨迅速接触,轮轨间的蠕滑引起快速磨损,并产生大的作用力,造成列车脱轨。为了确保车轴能够处于径向位置,使车轮在通过小半径曲线时不与外轨接触,K_x值必须小,γe值必须大(K_x≤10~6N/m;γe=0.20)。
