The frozen bodies of a young woolly mammoth(Mammuthus primigenius),a wild horse(Equus sp.)and a steppe bison(Bison priscus)were recently found in the northern Yakutia(northeastern Siberia).All specimens have preserved bones,skin and soft *** the woolly mammoth and the Pleistocene horse were represented by partial frozen bodies,the steppe bison body was recovered in an absolutely complete *** specimens were found frozen in the permafrost,with some of the tissues *** wild horse and steppe bison are of Holocene age,and the mammoth is of Late Pleistocene age.

Red blood cells(RBCs)are able to interact and communicate with endothelial cells(ECs).Under some pathological or even normal conditions,the adhesion of RBCs to the endothelium can be ***,the mechanisms and many aspects of the interaction between RBCs and ECs are not fully *** this work,we considered the interaction of single RBCs with single ECs in vitro aiming to quantitatively determine the force of this interaction using laser *** were performed under different concentrations of proaggregant macromolecules and in the presence or absence of tumor necrosis factor(TnF-α)activating the *** have shown that the strength of interaction depends on the concentration of fibrinogen or dextran proaggregant macromolecules in the environment.A nonlinear increase in the force of cells interaction(from 0.4 pn to 21 pn)was observed along with an increase in the fibrinogen con-centration(from 3 mg/mL to 9 mg/mL)in blood plasma,as well as with the addition of dextran macromolecules(from 10 mg/mL to 60 mg/mL).Dextran with a higher molecular mass(500 kDa)enhances the adhesion of RBCs to ECs greater compared to the dextran with a lower molecular mass(70 kDa).With the preliminary activation of ECs with TnF-α,the force of interaction ***,the adhesion of echinocytes to EC compared to discocytes is significantly *** results may help to better understand the process of interaction between RBCs and ECs.

We report the charge-changing cross sections(σ_(cc))of 24 p-shell nuclides on both hydrogen and carbon at about 900A Mev,of which^(8,9)Li,^(10–12)Be,^(10,14,15)B,^(14,15,17–22)n and^(16)O on hydrogen and^(8,9)Li on carbon are for the first *** from the data set,we found a new and robust relationship between the scaling factor of the Glauber model calculations and the separation energies of the nuclei of interest on both *** allows us to deduce proton radii(R_p)for the first time from the cross sections on *** identical R_p values are deduced from both target data for the neutron-rich carbon isotopes;however,the R_p from the hydrogen target is systematically smaller in the neutron-rich nitrogen *** calls for further experimental and theoretical investigations.

Traditionally,urbanization has been seen as a negative phenomenon for ***,changes in the environmental parameters induced by urbanization might be favorable for some *** the past half-century,the common hamster has actively populated cities,establishing populations in some European,Russian and Kazakhstan *** on integrative methods,we investigated free-range common hamsters inhabiting Simferopol from 2015 to 2018 to reveal possible adaptations to the urbanized environment across several parameters,including lifespan,hibernation period,reproductive activity and body *** show that in urban areas,the common hamster demonstrates an extremely short hibernation period compared to other localities,possibly due to enhanced food resources from urban forestry(walnuts,locus and hazelnut),allowing the species to start breeding very early(February)and finish as late as *** present the first evidence of polyandry for this species:mating of receptive females with several males and subsequent confirmation of multiple *** high reproductive potential,the lifespan of the common hamster in urban conditions is generally very short(less than 1 year).We speculate that in the process of synurbization,the common hamster’s innate plasticity across many life history traits permits it to successfully colonize throughout a wide range of habitats,with the ability to form novel adaptations to urban environments.

A detailed study of the mineral composition and microstructure of the black shales associated with OAEla(Eastern Russian Platform),OAElb(Middle Caspian),and the host rocks has been carried out using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopic,and microprobe *** results provide important constraints for depositional environments in the sedimentary *** shales with pyrite framboids imply euxinic(sulfidic)conditions with increased organic matter *** framboids suggest partial or complete dissolution of the organic matter inside the framboids due to increasing water *** on the Eastern Russian Platform is heterogeneous as it includes thin interbeds of concretionary coccolith limestones within the interval of bituminous shales,and correlates with the Lower Aptian Rhagodiscus angustus nannofossil *** coccolith limestones indicate short intermittent episodes of interrupted stagnation,rapid oxygenation,and restoration of normal marine *** presence of montmorillonite,albite,microcline,and diopside in the bituminous siltstones and in the host siltstones of OAEla on the Eastern Russian Platform,as well as a high content of titanium in the black siltstones correlated with OAElb in the Middle Caspian allow proposing significant input of pyroclastic material into the extant sea.

Using the laser speckle contrast imaging and wavelet-based analyses,we investigate a latent("hidden")stage of the development of intracranial hemorrhages(ICHs)in newborn *** apply two measures based on the continuous wavelet-transform of blood flow velocity in the sagittal sinus,namely,the spectral energy in distinct frequency ranges and a multiscality degree characterizing complexity of experimental *** show that the wavelet-based multifractal formalism reveals changes in the cerebrovascular blood flow at the development of ICH.

The paper proposes a methodological scheme that thoroughly accounts for natural-climatic conditions which can impair the stability and longevity of transport facilities （roadways）, to ensure the best possible quality of the initial road design. Factors determining the formation of water-heating mode subgrade soils are allocated, and an information database for mathematical modeling of geocomplexes is shown. values of strength and deformability of clay soils are calculated within the limits of the defined, homogeneous road districts in Western Siberia to provide the required level of reliability of design solutions.

InTRODUCTIOn Anthropogenic activities and associated factors such as climate change and habitat destruction are causing the ongoing sixth mass extinction on Earth,which is a major characteristic of the ***,these factors pose the most serious environmental threat to the existence of civilization because it is *** than 500 species of mammals were found to be on the brink of extinction and likely to be lost within 20 years(Ceballos et al.2020).One example is the common hamster Cricetus cricetus(Linnaeus,1758).In 2020,this species was classified as Critically Endangered across its global range by the IUCn Red List(Banaszek et al.2020).The protection status of the common hamster was elevated by 4 levels at once—from Least Concern to Critically *** the causes behind the dramatic decline of the species are not fully understood,one may suppose it stems from the negative impact of habitat degradation and even climate change(Banaszek et al.2020).

The results on determination of glucose and glycerol difusion cofficients in myocardium tissuse are *** method is based on the measurement and analysis of temporal dependence of tissue optical collimated transmittance umder action of a hyperosmotic *** temporal tissue response is related to the rate of the agent and water diffusion in a *** diffusion coefficients for tssue fAuid fluxes at glucose and glycerol application to the myocardium at 20℃ have been estimated as(4.75±3.40)×10^(-7) and(7.71±4.63)×10^(-7) cm^(2)/s,respectively.
