BACKGROUND Esophageal cancer is a common type of cancer and serious bleeding from esophageal tumors can occur in routine clinical *** arrest of bleeding from esophageal tumor is not a trivial task,which can sometimes require non-standard *** report a case of successful hemostasis of massive bleeding from esophageal tumor performed by a novel two-balloon catheter inserted endoscopically,with a local hemostatic treatment *** SUMMARY A 36-years old male patient with advanced esophageal cancer developed bleeding from the tumor following endoscopic stenting with a self-expanding metal *** to the ineffectiveness of standard approaches,after a medical conference,the patient was treated with a novel method based on the use of a two-balloon catheter creating an isolated area in esophagus and locally dispersing hemostatic polysaccharide powder inside the isolated *** was successful and subsequent endoscopic examination revealed the presence of organized clot and localized defect,which was coagulated in a planned *** The authors present a new catheter-based method of hemostasis of esophageal tumor bleeding.

Detectors were developed for detecting irradiation in the short-wavelength ultraviolet(UVC)interval using high-quality single-crystallineα-Ga_(2)O_(3) films with Pt interdigital *** films ofα-Ga_(2)O_(3) were grown on planar sapphire substrates with c-plane orientation using halide vapor phase *** spectral dependencies of the photo to dark current ratio,responsivity,external quantum efficiency and detectivity of the structures were investigated in the wavelength interval of 200−370 *** maximum of photo to dark current ratio,responsivity,external quantum efficiency,and detectivity of the structures were 1.16×10^(4) ***.,30.6 A/W,1.65×10^(4)%,and 6.95×10^(15) Hz^(0.5)·cm/W at a wavelength of 230 nm and an applied voltage of 1 *** high values of photoelectric properties were due to the internal enhancement of the photoresponse associated with strong hole ***α-Ga_(2)O_(3) film-based UVC detectors can function in self-powered operation mode due to the built-in electric field at the Pt/α-Ga_(2)O_(3) *** a wavelength of 254 nm and zero applied voltage,the structures exhibit a responsivity of 0.13 mA/W and an external quantum efficiency of 6.2×10^(−2)%.The UVC detectors based on theα-Ga_(2)O_(3) films demonstrate high-speed performance with a rise time of 18 ms in self-powered mode.

We present a novel approach for Stimulated Raman Scattering(SRS)spectroscopy in which a hyper spectral resolution and high-speed spectral acquisition are achieved by employing amplified offset-phase controlled fs-pulse *** investigate the method by solving the coupled non-linear Schrödinger equations and validate it by numerically characterizing SRS in molecular nitrogen as a model *** spectral resolution of the method is found to be determined by the inverse product of the number of pulses in the burst and the intraburst pulse *** SRS spectrum is obtained through a motion-free scanning of the offset phase that results in a sweep of the Raman-shift *** to high spectral resolution and fast motion-free scanning the technique is beneficial for a number SRS-based applications such as gas sensing and chemical analysis.

Revisiting the LQR Problem of Singular Systems

In the development of linear quadratic regulator(LQR) algorithms, the Riccati equation approach offers two important characteristics——it is recursive and readily meets the existence condition. However, these attributes are applicable only to transformed singular systems, and the efficiency of the regulator may be undermined if constraints are violated in nonsingular versions. To address this gap, we introduce a direct approach to the LQR problem for linear singular systems, avoiding the need for any transformations and eliminating the need for regularity assumptions. To achieve this goal, we begin by formulating a quadratic cost function to derive the LQR algorithm through a penalized and weighted regression framework and then connect it to a constrained minimization problem using the Bellman's criterion. Then, we employ a dynamic programming strategy in a backward approach within a finite horizon to develop an LQR algorithm for the original system. To accomplish this, we address the stability and convergence analysis under the reachability and observability assumptions of a hypothetical system constructed by the pencil of augmented matrices and connected using the Hamiltonian diagonalization technique.

岩体结构破裂是严重制约矿山、地铁、隧道等地下空间工程建设及其安全运行的重要因素。实现对岩体结构破裂状态的识别是当下研究的热点与重点之一。为此,开展了不同条件的砂岩加载破坏实验,提取了加载全程的声发射梅尔倒谱系数及其波动差,研究了系数及其波动差在砂岩受载破坏全程的变化规律,分析了1号系数(一组声发射梅尔倒谱系数包括12个,1号系数指第1个声发射梅尔倒谱系数)及其波动差与砂岩破裂状态的相关性特征,基于此提出了砂岩破裂状态声发射梅尔倒谱系数判识方法,构建了判识准则并进行判识效果检验。结果表明:随载荷增加,1号系数整体上增大,系数及其离散性在破坏阶段显著增大并表现出显著的规律波动性特征;1号系数波动差具有阶段性变化特征,波动差的大小及其起伏变化可表征砂岩的破裂,波动差整体增大及突增的变化可反映砂岩非稳定变形和峰后破坏阶段的宏观破裂,波动差的突增幅度可反映砂岩破裂程度;声发射梅尔倒谱系数及其波动差对砂岩破裂表现出良好的响应特征,该特征受不同加载条件的影响较小,说明声发射梅尔倒谱系数在反映砂岩破裂上具有适用性;1号系数及其波动差与砂岩破裂状态具有较好相关性,该相关性可分为3个阶段,即1号系数及其波动差在砂岩微破裂阶段分布集中,在临近失稳破坏阶段分布范围急剧增大、整体值升高且出现高异常值,在峰后破坏阶段分布范围进一步增大、整体值更高、高异常值更多;利用1号系数的75%位点值和异常值、1号系数波动差的75%位点值和异常值构建了砂岩破裂状态判识准则,采用三分类模型混淆矩阵对判识准则的效果进行了检验,判识准确度和精准度分别为90.43%、94.45%。该成果可为其他种类煤岩的破裂状态识别提供借鉴,为煤岩失稳监测预警提供参考。

Functionalized Hyperbranched Aliphatic Polyester Polyols: Synthesis,Properties and Applications

Recently, hyperbranched polymers(HBPs), which differ significantly in structure and properties from linear, cross-linked and branched analogs, have become increasingly important. HBP have a spatial unloaded core and a shell of branched monomer units(dendrons), in which functional groups are predominantly located in the surface layer. The size of macromolecules ranges from 2 nm to 100 nm. Currently, there are a fairly large number of publications in the literature devoted to the modification of hyperbranched polyester polyols with various functional groups and the assessment of the potential for their use. However, there are no review articles on this topic in recent years. In this regard, it is relevant to generalize the latest achievements in the field of synthesis, properties and application of hyperbranched polyester polyols with terminal oxygen, nitrogen, silicon, sulfur and organophosphorus fragments. The advantage of hyperbranched polyester polyols of the Boltorn H series is their industrial availability, biodegradability, nanoscale, non-toxicity and high solubility in various polar solvents due to short monomer units, as well as the presence of reactive terminal hydroxyl groups. Functionalization of hyperbranched polyester polyols at hydroxyl groups is mainly carried out by addition of acid anhydrides, iso(thio)cyanates, alkenes, lactides, lactones, lactams, epoxy compounds or reactions with halogenated compounds(alkyl halides, acid chlorides). In some cases, for the functionalization of polyester polyols special linkers are used, such as acid chlorides of unsaturated or dicarboxylic acids, diisocyanates, etc., which provide covalent bonding of the hyperbranched polymer with the target functional group. The obtained derivatives of hyperbranched polyesters are widely used in such areas as biomedicine, pharmacy, paints and varnishes, they are also used as catalysts, membranes, multifunctional coatings, plasticizers and polymer stabilizers.
