Objective:To assess the effect of leaf extract of Persicaria lanigera on cotton pellet-induced granuloma tissue formation and acetic acid-induced ulcerative ***:Rats were randomly divided into six groups:normal control,negative control,positive control(dexamethasone or sulfasalazine)as well as Persicaria lanigera(100-600 mg/kg)-treated *** effects of the extracts on body weight,antioxidant,and hematological parameters,as well as mast cell proliferation,were *** addition,a histological evaluation was ***:Persicaria lanigera extract significantly decreased the mean exudate amount and suppressed granuloma tissue formation in a concentration-dependent manner in rats(P<0.05).Additionally,the extract significantly increased body weight,improved hematological profile,reduced the disease activity index score and malondialdehyde level,as well as enhanced catalase and superoxide dismutase activities(P<0.05).Histological evaluation showed Persicaria lanigera extract alleviated acetic acid-induced colonic damages,as evidenced by decreased cell necrosis,edema,and inflammatory cell ***:Persicaria lanigera extract possesses antiproliferative,antioxidative,and anti-colitis ***,its underlying mechanisms of action need further investigation.

开发高效技术对于将甲烷升级为有用的含氧化合物（尤其是甲醇）至关重要。然而,由于甲烷对电子的亲和力弱、极化率低、C-H键能量高,因此将甲烷部分氧化为甲醇仍是一项重大挑战。经典的热催化法需要高温来激活甲烷分子,因此需要大量能源,而且对有用含氧化合物的选择性较差。光催化可以在温和的条件下促进甲烷转化,与热催化和电催化甲烷转化相比具有更多优势。因此,需要以一种具有成本效益、新颖且环保的方法合成半导体光催化剂,以实现甲烷的高选择性转化。最近,研究人员将铋基半导体作为二元氧化物的完美替代品。其中,BiVO具有低成本、无毒性和窄带隙（2.4 eV）的特点,在甲烷的选择性光氧化中具有广阔的应用前景,因为其导带最小值具有足够的电位,可将O还原成超氧自由基或将HO还原成羟自由基,从而激活CH。然而,纯BiVO光催化剂的表面吸附力较弱,其光诱导的电子-空穴对很快就会重新结合。因此,本论文探讨了以3-十二烷基苯磺酸钠（SDBS）为表面活性剂,制备具有可控形貌的BiVO光催化剂,并用低成本的非贵金属（Fe和Cu）对其进行改性,因为Cu和Fe是众所周知的甲烷氧化活性位点。具体研究内容和成果如下（1）首先合成了单斜白钨矿BiVO纳米片（NNS）,并通过浸渍法和锻烧法用Fe或二聚体Cu修饰得到Fe/BiVO（NNS）和Cu/BiVO（NNS）。催化剂在水介质中与O的光催化反应显示没有转化出CH,这与理论推导相矛盾,理论推导认为由于BiVO的导带最低点的位置,光生电子能够还原O产生·O,从而攻击强C-H键活化甲烷。此外,纳米片形态和表面活性金属（Fe和Cu）催化剂的添加并不影响BiVO光催化剂与O转化甲烷的光活性。（2）作为对比研究,合成了 BiVO的微晶（MC）,该微晶之前曾作为单组分光催化剂用于CH与水的氧化。在BiVO（MC）表面同时修饰了 Cu和Fe,以研究它们对光催化过程的综合影响。此外,还研究了通过将BiVO（MC）与p型半导体（FeOOH）耦合形成p-n异质结作为促进电荷载流子分离的另一种方法。催化剂的光催化反应没有显示出对CH的转化,这意味着无论是否经过改性,BiVO半导体光催化剂都无法通过光生电子激活O产生·O,从而转化甲烷。（3）最后,用HO替代O测试了甲烷在催化剂上的光氧化反应。此外,还在BiVO（NNS）中掺杂了 Fe,目的是用Fe取代部分Bi以最大限度地分离电荷载流子。甲烷转化为甲基含氧化合物（CHOH和CHOOH）的选择性几乎达到100%。在BiVO中掺入铁元素后,形成了单斜-四方异质结构,增强了电荷分离,显著降低了带隙能,增强了可见光范围内的光吸收,增加了比表面积,使更多的活性位点可用于反应,从而提高了甲基含氧化合物的产率,超过了未掺杂的BiVO。本论文的实验结果表明,HO是BiVO光催化剂系统中直接转化甲烷的相关氧化剂。初级含氧产物的生产率和选择性优于大多数有关该反应的研究报告。

Surgical Treatment of Nephroblastoma in a 4-Year Male Child: A Case Report and Literature Review

Herein we report a patient with nephroblastoma which was successfully removed at the Sunyani Teaching Hospital CJ Oppong theatre in Ghana in sub-Saharan Africa by extended below umbilical incision. Our patient had a family history of Wilms tumour predisposing him to the disease. His main symptoms were haematuria and abdominal mass which was noticed later. Examination and investigation were suggestive of a late-stage unilateral Nephroblastoma resulting in the need for nephrectomy. To reduce the need for such radical surgeries among children at an early stage, there is the need for early screening of children for Wilms tumours especially, those with family predisposition as in our case study. The case report presented here constitutes a rare case of nephroblastoma in the literature.

In vivo antiplasmodial and in vitro antioxidant property of stem bark extracts of Haematostaphis barteri

Objective: To evaluate the antimalarial and antioxidant properties of stem bark extracts of Haematostaphis barteri(H. barteri).Methods: The prophylactic activity of the plant was performed by dosing mice with sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine(1.2 mg/kg), aqueous extract(30, 100, 300 mg/kg) and dichloromethane/methanol(D/M)(30, 100, 300 mg/kg) extracts of H. barteri for 3 days. On the 4th day, the mice were inoculated with Plasmodium berghei. The parasite density was estimated for each mouse 72 h post-parasite inoculation. The curative activity of the plant was also performed by inoculating mice with Plasmodium berghei. Three days later, they were treated with artemether-lumefantrine(4 mg/kg), aqueous and D/M extracts of H. barteri stem bark for 5 days. The in vitro antioxidant property of the aqueous extract was determined by using the reducing power, nitric oxide and total antioxidant capacity assays. Results: The aqueous extract exerted significant(P < 0.05) curative and prophylactic antimalarial activities. The D/M extract exhibited significant curative(P < 0.05) but not prophylactic antiplasmodial ef ect. The aqueous extract exhibited in vitro antioxidant property with IC50’s of(0.930 ± 0.021) mg/mL,(0.800 ± 0.001) mg/mL and(0.22 ± 0.05) mg/mL in the total antioxidant capacity, reducing power and nitric oxide assays. Histological assessment of the liver of aqueous and D/M treated animals did not reveal any sign of ***: H. barteri is not toxic which exerted significant curative antiplasmodial ef ects but the prophylactic property was however fraction dependent. The mechanism of the antiplasmodial activity of H. barteri may partly be mediated by its antioxidant property.

经济增长是衡量每一个经济体稳健性的主要指标,失业率是反映任何一个经济体不能充分利用其劳动力资源的重要宏观经济指标之一。因此,从中国1991-2018年世界发展指标(WDI)中提取了宏观经济二次和时间序列数据。在进行本研究的计量经济学分析时,采用增广的Dickey-Fuller检验和Phillips-Perron检验来检验和确定研究变量的平稳水平;采用自回归分布滞后(ARDL)协整和ARDL边界检验来检验短期和长期协整。研究变量的确定,因为两个变量在第一个差异i(1)时都是固定的。研究结果表明,失业与经济增长之间存在负的短期和长期关系。然而,格兰杰因果关系检验也表明,失业和经济增长都不会相互影响。

创业是创造就业机会的渠道,在诸多发达国家和发展中国家都被认为是经济发展的基础。但是,创业领域的性别失衡问题依然存在。在商业中,男性和女性缺乏平等的承认和参与,对国家和社会都是一种损失。在不同的社会文化下,性别角色对创业发展有着不一样的影响。非洲文化背景下的创业者,他们的性别角色对创业发展的作用在还没有得到深入研究。并且,加纳创业领域女性数量的增加也引发了对性别角色对加纳创业发展的作用进行全面研究的需要。因此,本文研究了性别角色对加纳创业发展的影响,并分别探讨了自我效能和家庭支持的中介和调节作用。依靠定量、定性研究设计和方便抽样方法,本文设计了调查问卷并对加纳库马西市四个选定主要市场(Kejetia市场、Asafo市场、Oforikrom市场和Central市场)的创业者进行了问卷调查。在各创业团队负责人的帮助下,问卷通过门户网站和电子邮件进行发放。最终耗时9周完成了原始数据收集工作。共计回收有效问卷455份,其中女性和男性分别占220份和235份,符合本研究需要。使用社会科学统计软件包(SPSS 26)处理和分析数据。具体包括描述性分析、皮尔森相关分析、多元回归分析、中介效应检验、调节效应检验等。使用95%的置信区间,男性样本和女性样本的回归模型的判定系数R分别为0.637和0.530,表明本研究的模型拟合良好。研究揭示了三个主要发现:第一,性别角色与创业发展有着显著的正相关关系。其中,男性性别角色对创业发展的影响系数为0.431,略高于女性性别角色对创业发展的影响(0.212);第二,自我效能感在性别角色与创业发展之间起到显著中介作用;第三,家庭支持在性别角色对创业发展的影响中起着调节作用。本研究的结论有助于丰富社会认知理论(SCT)和Bird(1988)构建的创业模型。在SCT的环境和社会认知方面刻画了性别角色、创业者自我效能和家庭支持的作用,发展了Bird的基于社会、政治和经济的创业模型。本研究提倡在加纳将促进跨性别角色的创业发展作为一种职业,并呼吁家庭提供足够的支持,以确保创业者个体对创业发展的可持续贡献。创业型企业的管理机构应该努力培养创业者的能力,扩大其知识面,心理素质和技能。

This study aims to investigate the main factors driving technological innovation within firms in the manufacturing and service sectors of the Czech *** apply a binary logistic regression model to cross-sectional data from 502 firms,obtained from the World Bank Enterprise *** results of our empirical investigation show that certain elements of the business environment,such as the tax rate,serve as significant obstacles to firms’product *** results also confirm that international technological linkagesdmeasured by international quality certificates and foreign technology licensesdaffect technological ***,we found that internal R&D activities positively impact technological innovation across all sectors;contrarily,we found that process innovation in the manufacturing sector is positively influenced by foreign technology licenses and business association *** innovations in the service sector are positively correlated with external R&D and financing from banking ***,business association membership does not positively influence technological innovation in the service *** findings have salient implications for firm managers,policymakers,and scholars aiming to explore and improve innovation outcomes in transitional economies.

Zambia is among the sub-Saharan countries highly burdened with tuberculosis(TB) and has an estimated prevalence rate of 638 per 100 000 population in those aged 15 years and *** mining industry is the main contributor to the country's gross national product,although it is associated with public health challenges,with TB in the mines being among the occupational health diseases having a negative economic impact and threatening to delay the control of TB in the *** reviewed available evidence on the extent of the burden of TB in the mines so as to inform the development of targeted interventions for the post-2015 End TB *** was a review of published data from Medline/Pubmed,Cochrane Library and Embase,including unpublished "grey"literature on the burden of TB and the risk factors of TB in the mines of *** is limited research in Zambia to fully understand the burden of TB and risk factors associated with TB in the ***,the few studies and data available have shown that TB is a significant health problem requiring interventions to improve the quality of life of miners,ex-miners and surrounding *** is a potential problem in the mines of Zambia and the actual burden needs to be *** to silica as a risk factor needs further investigation.

The fertility of human-altered soils,Anthrosols,developed from past settlement activities for crop production is scarcely *** study evaluated the fertility of Anthrosols developed from the 15th to mid-20th century AD settlement in Old Buipe,Savanna region,Ghana,to determine whether abandoned localities are suitable for arable *** activities enhanced the physical attributes of the Anthrosols:brown to dark brown intergrain fine soil,15%−35%organic matter,15%−30%potsherd,and 5%−15%charred *** Anthrosols were slightly acidic to neutral reactions(pH_([H_(2)O])5.67−6.83,pH_([cacl_(2)])5.83−6.95),high cation exchange capacity(CEC;18.77−45.31me/100 g),electric conductivity(EC=0.28−0.36 dS m^(−1)),accumulation,and distribution of organic C,total N,P,Mn,Cu,Zn,K,and Fe,and available P,K,Ca,Mg,S,Mn,Fe,Cu,and ***-available nutrients were comparatively higher than concentrations in non-anthropogenic *** level of releasability(bioavailable fractions of total concentrations)of P,K,Ca,Mn,Fe,Cu,and Zn partly compensates for low plant-available *** of chemical and physical properties of Anthrosols make them fertile for arable *** signatures of settlement activities are strong and can remain in soils for a long time,even under harsh environmental conditions.
