Utilizing lightweight Al alloys in various industrial applications requires achieving precise pressure tightness and leak *** pressure impregnation(VPI)with thermosetting polymers is commonly used to address leakage defects in die-cast Al *** this study,the efficacy of the VPI technique in sealing alloy parts was investigated using a combination of nondestructive micro X-ray computed tomography(micro XCT)and a standard leak *** results demonstrate that the commonly used water leak test is insufficient for determining the sealing ***,micro XCT shows distinct advantages by enabling more comprehensive *** reveals the presence of a low atomic number impregnates sealant within casting defects,which has low grey contrast and allows for visualizing primary leakage paths in *** effective atomic number of impregnated resin is 6.75 and that of Al alloy is 13.69 by dual-energy X-ray *** research findings will contribute to enhancing the standard VPI process parameters and the properties of impregnating sealants to improve quality assurance for impregnation in industrial metals.

An iliopsoas hematoma can occur either spontaneously or secondary to trauma or bleeding tendency due to hemophilia and anticoagulant *** liver cirrhosis is commonly associated with coagulopathy, iliopsoas hematoma is very *** herein,present a case of bilateral iliopsoas hematoma in a patient with alcoholic cirrhosis,and review the literature on muscle hematoma associated with cirrhosis.A 56-year-old man with alcoholic cirrhosis was admitted in a state of shock with *** cause of anemia could not be detected,and the patient was treated conservatively. Infants with congenital deafness caused by severe bilateral inner ear malformations frequently suffer from severe hearing loss and poor balance. Unfortunately, the use of hearing aids is usually ineffective in recovering hearing, necessitating cochlear implants. We report a case of a 6-year-old boy with congenital deafness and bilateral inner ear malformations(right side, incomplete partition type I [IP-I]; left side, common cavity deformity). Hearing aids had a remarkable effect in this patient, enabling sufficient and favorable hearing recovery such as to allow the patient to engage in daily conversations. Per-rotatory nystagmus was recorded on an electronystagmogram for both right and left rotations in a damped rotational chair test. It is rare for deaf children with severe bilateral inner ear malformation to demonstrate favorable development in hearing and good equilibrium function. Our findings suggest that auditoryevestibular hair cells in this patient may have been partially preserved despite IP-I in the right ear and common cavity deformity of the left ear.

OBJECTIVES： An animal experiment clarified that insertion of an orthodontic apparatus activated the trigeminal neurons of the medulla oblongata. Orthodontic tooth movement is known to be associated with the sympathetic nervous system and controlled by the nucleus of the hypothalamus. However, the transmission of both has not been demonstrated in humans. The purpose of this study were to examine the activated cerebral areas using brain functional magnetic resonance imaging（MRI）, when orthodontic tooth separators were inserted, and to confirm the possibility of the transmission route from the medulla oblongata to the ***： Two types of alternative orthodontic tooth separators（brass contact gauge and floss） were inserted into the right upper premolars of 10 healthy volunteers. BACKGROUND Intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct(IPNB)rarely recurs in a multicentric *** encountered a patient with multiple recurrences of the gastric subtype of IPNB one year after spontaneous detachment of the primary tumor during peroral cholangioscopy(POCS).CASE SUMMARY A 68-year-old woman on maintenance hemodialysis because of lupus nephritis had several cardiovascular diseases and a pancreatic intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm(IPMN).She was referred to our department for dilation of the common bile duct(CBD)and a tumor in the lumen,detected using *** had no complaints,and blood tests of hepatobiliary enzymes were *** resonance cholangiopancreatography(MRCP)showed a papillary tumor in the CBD with a filling defect detected using endoscopic retrograde cholangiography(ERC).Intraductal ultrasonography revealed a papillary tumor and stalk at the *** POCS,the tumor spontaneously detached with its stalk into the *** showed low-intermediate nuclear atypia of the gastric subtype of *** 1 year,follow-up MRCP showed multiple tumors distributed from the left hepatic duct to the *** and POCS showed multicentric *** was alive without hepatobiliary symptoms at least two years after initial diagnosis of *** The patient experienced gastric subtype of IPNB without curative *** may be reasonable for patients with this subtype.
