Background: Multiple system atrophy (MSA) is a neurodegenerative condition characterized by variable combinations of parkinsonism, autonomic failure, cerebellar ataxia and pyramidal features. Although the distribution of synucleinopathy correlates with the predominant clinical features, the burden of pathology does not fully explain observed differences in clinical presentation and rate of disease progression. We hypothesized that the clinical heterogeneity in MSA is a consequence of variability in the seeding activity of α-synuclein both between different patients and between different brain regions. Methods: The reliable detection of α-synuclein seeding activity derived from MSA using cell-free amplification assays remains challenging. Therefore, we conducted a systematic evaluation of 168 different reaction buffers, using an array of pH and salts, seeded with fully characterized brain homogenates from one MSA and one PD patient. We then validated the two conditions that conferred the optimal ability to discriminate between PD- and MSA-derived samples in a larger cohort of 40 neuropathologically confirmed cases, including 15 MSA. Finally, in a subset of brains, we conducted the first multi-region analysis of seeding behaviour in MSA. Results: Using our novel buffer conditions, we show that the physicochemical factors that govern the in vitro amplification of α-synuclein can be tailored to generate strain-specific reaction buffers that can be used to reliably study the seeding capacity from MSA-derived α-synuclein. Using this novel approach, we were able to sub-categorize the 15 MSA brains into 3 groups: high, intermediate and low seeders. To further demonstrate heterogeneity in α-synuclein seeding in MSA, we conducted a comprehensive multi-regional evaluation of α-synuclein seeding in 13 different regions from 2 high seeders, 2 intermediate seeders and 2 low seeders. Anomalous situations in surveillance videos or images that may result in security issues,such as disasters,accidents,crime,violence,or terrorism,can be identified through video anomaly ***,differentiat-ing anomalous situations from normal can be challenging due to variations in human activity in complex environments such as train stations,busy sporting fields,airports,shopping areas,military bases,care centers,*** learning models’learning capability is leveraged to identify abnormal situations with improved *** work proposes a deep learning architecture called Anomalous Situation Recognition Network(ASRNet)for deep feature extraction to improve the detection accuracy of various anomalous image *** proposed framework has five *** the first step,pretraining of the proposed architecture is performed on the CIFAR-100 *** the second step,the proposed pre-trained model and Inception V3 architecture are used for feature extraction by utilizing the suspicious activity recognition *** the third step,serial feature fusion is performed,and then the Dragonfly algorithm is utilized for feature optimization in the fourth ***,using optimized features,various Support Vector Machine(SVM)and K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN)based classification models are utilized to detect anomalous *** proposed framework is validated on the suspicious activity dataset by varying the number of optimized features from 100 to *** results show that the proposed method is effective in detecting anomalous situations and achieves the highest accuracy of 99.24%using cubic SVM.

In the new era of technology,daily human activities are becoming more challenging in terms of monitoring complex scenes and *** understand the scenes and activities from human life logs,human-object interaction(HOI)is important in terms of visual relationship detection and human pose *** understanding and interaction recognition between human and object along with the pose estimation and interaction modeling have been *** existing algorithms and feature extraction procedures are complicated including accurate detection of rare human postures,occluded regions,and unsatisfactory detection of objects,especially small-sized *** existing HOI detection techniques are instancecentric(object-based)where interaction is predicted between all the *** estimation depends on appearance features and spatial ***,we propose a novel approach to demonstrate that the appearance features alone are not sufficient to predict the ***,we detect the human body parts by using the Gaussian Matric Model(GMM)followed by object detection using *** predict the interaction points which directly classify the interaction and pair them with densely predicted HOI vectors by using the interaction *** interactions are linked with the human and object to predict the *** experiments have been performed on two benchmark HOI datasets demonstrating the proposed approach.

Independent human living systems require smart,intelligent,and sustainable online monitoring so that an individual can be assisted *** from ambient assisted living,the task of monitoring human activities plays an important role in different fields including virtual reality,surveillance security,and human interaction with *** systems have been developed in the past with the use of various wearable inertial sensors and depth cameras to capture the human *** this paper,we propose multiple methods such as random occupancy pattern,spatio temporal cloud,waypoint trajectory,Hilbert transform,Walsh Hadamard transform and bone pair descriptors to extract optimal features corresponding to different human *** features sets are then normalized using min-max normalization and optimized using the Fuzzy optimization ***,the Masi entropy classifier is applied for action recognition and *** have been performed on three challenging datasets,namely,UTDMHAD,50 Salad,and *** experimental evaluation,the proposed novel approach of recognizing human actions has achieved an accuracy rate of 90.1%with UTD-MHAD dataset,90.6%with 50 Salad dataset,and 89.5%with CMU-MMAC *** experimental results validated the proposed system.

Morphology-Controlled Synthesis of Zn_xCd_1-xS Solid Solutions: An Efficient Solar Light Active Photocatalyst for the Degradation of 2,4,6-Trichlorophenol

ZnxCd1-xS solid solutions with controlled morphology have been successfully synthe-sized by a facile solution-phase method. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra, X-ray photoelec-tron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission elec-tron microscopy (TEM). The photocatalytic activity of ZnxCd1-xS was evaluated in the 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (TCP) degradation and mineralization in aqueous solution under direct solar light illumination. The experiment demonstrated that TCP was effectively degraded by more than 95% with 120 min. The results show that ZnS with Cd doping (ZnxCd1-xS) exhibits the much stronger visible light adsorption than that of pure ZnS, the light adsorption increasing as the Cd2+ doping amount. These results indicate that Cd doping into a ZnS crystal lattice can result in the shift of the valence band of ZnS to a positive direction. It may lead to its higher oxidative ability than pure ZnS, which is important for organic pollutant degradation under solar light irradiation. Further-more, the photocatalytic activity studies reveal that the prepared ZnxCd1-xS nanostructures exhibit an excellent photocatalytic performance, degrading rapidly the aqueous 2,4,6-trichlorophenol solution under solar light irradiation. These results sug-gest that ZnxCd1-xS nanostructure will be a promising candidate of photocatalyst working in solar light range.
