Psychometric characteristics of the Reasons for Death Fear Scale among Iranian nurses

Objectives:Death fear is the main subject in *** researchers have defined different reasons for fear of *** study aimed to explore the performance of the Farsi version of the Reasons for Death Fear Scale(RDFS)among a convenience sample of Iranian nurses(n=106).methods:The nurses were selected by the convenience sampling method and were asked to complete the RDFS,Death Concern Scale,Collett-Lester Fear of Death Scale,Death Anxiety Scale,Death Depression Scale,and Death Obsession ***:For the RDFS,the Cronbach's a coefficient was 0.90,and the 2-week test-retest reliability was *** RDFS was correlated at 0.34,0.39,0.50,0.35,and 0.39 to the above-mentioned five scales,indicating its good construct and criterion-related *** on the exploratory factor analysis,the RDFS-identified four factors accounted for 66.20%of the variance and were labeled as"Fear of Pain and Punishment,""Fear of Losing Worldly Involvements,""Religious Transgressions and Failures,"and"Parting from Loved Ones."Conclusions:The RDFS presents good validity and reliability and can be used in clinical and research settings in Iran.

Dolomite apatite separation by amphoteric collector in presence of bacteria

Bioflotation represents one of the growing trends to enhance the selectivity of conventional flotation processes. It utilizes the micro-organisms to replace or to interact with the chemical reagents to increase the gap between surface properties of similar minerals and to enhance the separation selectivity. In this work, dolomite-phosphate separation was investigated using amphoteric collector （dodecyl-N-carboxyethyl-N-hyroxyethyl-imidazoline） in presence of bacteria. Two types of bacteria, Corynebacterium- diphtheriae-intermedius （CDI）, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa （PA）, were used. The collector-bacteria interaction was characterized by Fourier transform infra-red （FTIR）, frothing height and Zeta potential. The results show that the collector-bacteria interaction improves the flotation selectivity. Although, the PA positively affects the separation results, the CDI cannot lower the mgO to less than 1%. A phosphate content of 0.7% mgO and 31.77% P205 with a recovery of 68% at pH 11, 3.0 kg/t amphoteric collector, 4× 10^7 cells of PA is obtained.

We demonstrated a new type of mAX phase material, chromium titanium aluminum carbide（Cr2TiAlC2） polymer film, to generate a passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser（EDFL）. The film thickness was measured to be around 45 μm, which was fabricated using the embedding method with polyvinyl alcohol（PVA） polymer as hoster. The saturable absorber（SA） film demonstrates a dual-wavelength passively Q-switched EDFL which operates at 1 531 nm and 1 560.19 nm, respectively. The Q-switching pulse duration could be varied from 2.46 μs to 770 ns, while the repetition rate varied from 92.76 kHz to 106.6 kHz with an increasing input pumping range from 154 mW to 300 mW. The maximum output power and pulse energy of 15.05 mW and 141.18 nJ were obtained at the maximum input power of 300 mW, respectively.

The growing need for sustainable energy solutions,driven by rising energy shortages,environmental concerns,and the depletion of conventional energy sources,has led to a significant focus on renewable *** energy,among the various renewable sources,is particularly appealing due to its abundant ***,the efficiency of commercial solar photovoltaic(PV)modules is hindered by several factors,notably their conversion efficiency,which averages around 19%.This efficiency can further decline to 10%–16%due to temperature increases during peak sunlight *** study investigates the cooling of PV modules by applying water to their front surface through Computational fluid dynamics(CFD).The study aimed to determine the optimal conditions for cooling the PV module by analyzing the interplay between water film thickness,Reynolds number,and their effects on temperature reduction and heat *** CFD analysis revealed that the most effective cooling condition occurred with a 5 mm thick water film and a Reynolds number of *** specific parameters were found to maximize the heat transfer and temperature reduction *** finding is crucial for the development of practical and efficient cooling systems for PV modules,potentially leading to improved performance and longevity of solar *** cooling fluids or advanced cooling techniques that might offer even better efficiency or practical benefits.

Objective:To determine the delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol(THC)content of cannabis seizures in ***:Unheated and heated extracts of cannabis seizures were prepared from the dried flowering tops and leaves(marijuana)or from the resin(hashish)and subjected to analysis using high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Results:The heated resin extract had the peak of THC in a relative ratio of 31.34%,while extracting the resin directly without heating contained only 18.34%of *** the other hand,marijuana showed minimum percentage of THC at 11.188% on heating and 9.55% without ***:These results indicate the high potency of the abused cannabis plant in the illicit Egyptian market.

Latest advancements in the integration of camera sensors paves a way for newUnmannedAerialVehicles(UAVs)applications such as analyzing geographical(spatial)variations of earth science in mitigating harmful environmental impacts and climate *** have achieved significant attention as a remote sensing environment,which captures high-resolution images from different scenes such as land,forest fire,flooding threats,road collision,landslides,and so on to enhance data analysis and decision *** scene classification has attracted much attention in the examination of earth data captured by *** paper proposes a new multi-modal fusion based earth data classification(mmF-EDC)*** mmF-EDC technique aims to identify the patterns that exist in the earth data and classifies them into appropriate class *** mmF-EDC technique involves a fusion of histogram of gradients(HOG),local binary patterns(LBP),and residual network(ResNet)*** fusion process integrates many feature vectors and an entropy based fusion process is carried out to enhance the classification *** addition,the quantum artificial flora optimization(QAFO)algorithm is applied as a hyperparameter optimization *** AFO algorithm is inspired by the reproduction and the migration of flora helps to decide the optimal parameters of the ResNet model namely learning rate,number of hidden layers,and their number of ***,Variational Autoencoder(VAE)based classification model is applied to assign appropriate class labels for a useful set of feature *** proposedmmF-EDCmodel has been tested using UCm and WHU-RS *** proposed mmFEDC model attains exhibits promising classification results on the applied remote sensing images with the accuracy of 0.989 and 0.994 on the test UCm and WHU-RS dataset respectively.
