地裂缝是一种具有潜在性,且危害广泛的地质危害,通常会造成严重的基础设施、生态环境破坏并影响社会经济发展。由于地裂缝成因的复杂性,地裂缝的预测仍然是一项具有挑战性的任务。因此,本研究通过比较分析相对频率比模型（RFR）和四种先进的机器学习算法,即随机森林（RF）、极端梯度提升（XGBoost）、朴素贝叶斯（NB）和K-最近邻（KNN）。首先,本研究以也门的Qa’Jahran盆地为案例研究区域,通过实地调查记录了152个裂缝位置,以开发地裂缝清单图。其次,从各种数据源中获得了11个地裂条件因子,包括地形、水文、地质和环境因子。再次,本研究选用频率比方法用于研究这些因素与地裂事件之间的关系。统计指标,包括混淆矩阵和接受者操作特征（AUROC）曲线下的面积,用于比较和验证算法的结果。最后,本研究利用选用的4种机器学习算法开展地裂缝灾害危险性评估。研究结果表明,与XGBoost模型（AUROC,0.98）、NB模型（AUROC,0.96）、KNN模型（AUROC,0.88）和FR相比,RF算法（AUROC,0.99）在生成危险地图方面表现出优异的性能（AUROC,0.74）。通过调查研究发现,长期超量抽取地下水（地下水开采）是造成卡贾兰盆地地面沉降和地裂缝的原因。Qa’Jahran盆地地面沉降和地裂缝形成的最大量与地下水位大幅下降和地下存在可压缩细粒沉积物的区域有关。如果Qa’Jahran盆地的地下水位继续以每年约2.5 m的速度下降,沉降可能会继续。持续下沉可能导致未来形成新的裂缝。裂缝的持续增长最终可能会影响到Ma’ber区和邻近村庄的整个社区。Qa’Jahran盆地的地裂缝清单可能是不完整的,因为缺乏偏移或未被侵蚀扩大的裂缝通常以发丝裂缝的形式存在,这些裂缝在航空照片上很少可见,并且在现场难以识别。目前未被发现的或新的地裂缝可能会破坏Qa’Jahran盆地现有和未来的基础设施。地裂缝可能为受污染的地表水提供一条直接进入Qa’Jahran盆地含水层的通道,而该含水层是Qa’Jahran盆地的主要饮用水源。如果将盆地填充含水层作为可再生资源进行管理并减轻地面沉降和地裂缝形成带来的危害,需要定义沉降区域和这些区域内的沉降速率（可能可变）（In sar、Li DAR和高精度GPS/GNSS测量非常适合此任务）。在已知或被报告为裂缝的地点,需要对新开发和在某些情况的现有开发项目,进行具体的场地危险评估。在本研究中,研究发现约0.13%至7.74%的总面积非常容易受到地裂缝危害的影响,2.55%至29.14%为高危害级别,2.72%至41.60%为中等危害级别,5.35%至14.89%为低危害级别,6.71%至81.64%为极低危害级别。该地区对地裂缝危险最敏感的地区是盆地北部。最重要的应用条件因素是井密度、高程、水位、地面沉降、地下水位下降和到断层的距离。这些发现可以帮助土地管理规划者、地方当局和决策者管理当前和未来的地裂缝,以保护社会和生态系统并实施适当的保护措施。

Structure and Performance of the Retail Outlets of Honey in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The study aimed at analyzing the most important factors affecting the retail marketing of honey in Saudi Arabia. Cross sectional survey was employed using field interview (direct contact) with a random sample of 343 retail outlets represented all its forms and patterns in seven major cities in Saudi Arabia. Measurements like market share, Gini coefficient and Herfindahl Hirschman Index (HHI) were used to estimate the indicators of market structure and its performance. The result showed that the structure of honey retail market is generally closer to pure competition with a small concentration in some areas. Gini coefficients of concentration, as well as the values of the Herfindahl Hirschman Index (HHI) were relatively low for retailers. The average marketing margin was about sar 6.4/Kg for local honey while the marketing margin of imported honey was about sar 113/Kg. The high profit margin variation between local and imported honey is due to the high marketing costs, lower supplied quantity and higher demand for local honey. The estimated cost of marketing of onekilogram of honey was about 8 sar at the retail level. From retailers’ point of view, low quality, lack of marketing services, improper display, high rental property, lack of knowledge and experience of the consumer about properties and quality characteristics honey, high prices and shortage of some varieties of honey in some specific season are the most important problems of honey marketing in the Saudi market. Setting priorities between different brands of honey plays a noticeable role in marketing. Some honey producers and traders were very concerned about unfair competition of honey market through high promotion as a brand based on their long history in the production and supply of high-quality varieties of honey from specific and well-known varieties. uPAR antibody(huATN-658) and Zometa reduce breast cancer growth and skeletal lesions

Urokinase plasminogen activator receptor(uPAR) is implicated in tumor growth and metastasis due to its ability to activate latent growth factors, proteases, and different oncogenic signaling pathways upon binding to different ligands. Elevated u PAR expression is correlated with the increased aggressiveness of cancer cells, which led to its credentialing as an attractive diagnostic and therapeutic target in advanced solid cancer. Here, we examine the antitumor effects of a humanized anti-u PAR antibody(huATN-658) alone and in combination with the approved bisphosphonate Zometa(Zoledronic acid) on skeletal lesion through a series of studies in vitro and in vivo. Treatment with huATN-658 or Zometa alone significantly decreased human MDA-MB-231 cell proliferation and invasion in vitro, effects which were more pronounced when huATN-658 was combined with Zometa. In vivo studies demonstrated that huATN-658 treatment significantly reduced MDA-MB-231 primary tumor growth compared with controls. In a model of breast tumor-induced bone disease, huATN-658 and Zometa were equally effective in reducing skeletal lesions. The skeletal lesions were significantly reduced in animals receiving the combination of huATN-658 + Zometa compared with monotherapy treatment. These effects were due to a significant decrease in osteoclastic activity and tumor cell proliferation in the combination treatment group. Transcriptome analysis revealed that combination treatment significantly changes the expression of genes from signaling pathways implicated in tumor progression and bone remodeling. Results from these studies provide a rationale for the continued development of huATN-658 as a monotherapy and in combination with currently approved agents such as Zometa in patients with metastatic breast cancer.
