In this paper,a proposed cancellable biometric scheme is based on multiple biometric image identifiers,Arnold’s cat map and double random phase encoding(DRPE)to obtain cancellable biometric *** proposed segmentation scheme that is used to select the region of interest for generating cancelable templates is based on chaos entropy low correlation statistical *** objective of segmentation is to reduce the computational cost and reliability of template *** left and right biometric(iris,fingerprint,palm print and face)are divided into non-overlapping blocks of the same *** define the region of interest(ROI),we select the block with the highest *** shorten the registration process time and achieve a high level of security,we select 25%of the image volume of the biometric *** addition,the low-cost security requirement lies in the use of selective encryption(SE)*** step of selecting the maximum entropy is executed on all biometric *** maximum right and left multi-biometric blocks are arranged in descending order from the entropy perspective and select 50%of each biometric couple and store the single *** obtained matrix is scrambled with a certain number of iterations using Arnold’s Cat Map(ACM).The obtained scrambled matrix is encrypted with the DRPE to generate the cancellable biometric templates,which are further *** simulation results display better performance of the suggested cancellable biometric system in noise scenarios using the area under the receiver operating characteristic(AROC).The strength of the suggested technique is examined with correlation,irregular deviation,maximum difference and maximum *** recommended proposed approach shows that the ability to distinguish the authentic and imposter biometrics of user seven in different levels of the noise environment.

el-Amir Muhammad’s minaret in Akhmim, Sohag, Egypt, is constructed of limestone and has been exposed to many factors of damage as a result of the high levels of ground water. Limestone is strongly affected by ground water, especially when being impure. The current work discusses the results of analytical techniques including chemical testing to determine the types of soluble salts through optical microscopy, electronic scanning electron microscope with an X-ray energy dispersion system (ESEM) to study and determine the causes of rapid degradation. Microbial weathering phenomena toward limestone were also studied. Different bacteria and fungi were isolated from outdoors and indoors of air and limestone of the building of which Bacillus cereus OK447647, B. subtilis OK447648, Serratia marcescens OK447650, Pseudomonasoryzihabitans OK447649, Aspergillus flavus, A. niger, Penicillium chrysogenum and Cladosporium cladosporoids were the most representative. B. cereus OK447647 and B. subtilis OK447648 have shown ability for calcium carbonate dissolving. The minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of sodium azide were investigated against the growth of microbial isolates. Sodium azide at 100 ppm was found to be the best treatment for bacterial isolates although it had no significant effect against fungi.

BACKGROUND: Sub-endometrial junction zone (JZ) plays an important role in most of reproductive functions. OBJECTIVE: To find out the effect of the sub-endometrial JZ thickness assessment by 3-D trans-vaginal ultrasound (TVUS) on intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) outcomes in patients with unexplained recurrent implantation failure (RIF). SETTING: ART Unit of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Faculty of Medicine, South Valley University, Qena, Egypt. DURATION: From April 2016 to October 2018. STUDY DESIGN: A prospective observational study. METHDS: Fifty couples with history of unexplained RIF in previous ICSI cycles and prepared for another ICSI cycle (group I) and fifty couples with unexplained infertility prepared for ICSI for the first time (group II) had been included in this study. At time of ovum pick up, 3-DTVUS was done for all cases in both groups for assessment of sub endometrial junction zone thickness and correlated with ICSI outcome. RESULTS: There were statistically significant differences between group I and group II in JZ thickness in the 3 uterine regions (fundus, anterior and posterior walls) with p 0.001, but there were mildly statistically significant differences between both groups in chemical and clinical pregnancy rates with p ely correlated with increased embryo implantation rates in ICSI procedures, the thinner the JZ thickness was associated with higher pregnancy rates (both chemical and clinical pregnancy rates).

This paper presents a new algorithm for de-noising global positioning system （GPS） and inertial navigation system （INS） data and estimates the INS error using wavelet multi-resolution analysis algorithm （WMRA）-based genetic algorithm （GA） with a well-designed structure appropriate for practical and real time implementations because of its very short training time and elevated accuracy. Different techniques have been implemented to de-noise and estimate the INS and GPS errors. Wavelet de-noising is one of the most exploited techniques that have been recently used to increase the precision and reliability of the integrated GPS/INS navigation system. To ameliorate the WMRA algorithm, GA was exploited to optimize the wavelet parameters so as to determine the best wavelet filter, thresholding selection rule （TSR）, and the optimum level of decomposition （LOD）. This results in increasing the robustness of the WMRA algorithm to estimate the INS error. The proposed intelligent technique has overcome the drawbacks of the tedious selection for WMRA algorithm parameters. Finally, the proposed method improved the stability and reliability of the estimated INS error using real field test data.

BACKGROUND Proton pump inhibitors are often used to prevent gastro-intestinal lesions induced by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory ***,they are not always effective against both gastric and duodenal lesions and their use is not devoid of side *** To explore the mechanisms mediating the clinical efficacy of STW 5 in gastroduodenal lesions induced by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),exemplified here by diclofenac,in a comparison to *** Gastro-duodenal lesions were induced in rats by oral administration of diclofenac(5 mg/kg)for 6 successive *** group was given concurrently STW 5(5 mL/kg)while another was given omeprazole(20 mg/kg).A day later,animals were sacrificed,stomach and duodenum excised and divided into 2 segments:One for histological examination and one for measuring inflammatory mediators(tumor necrosis factorα,interleukins-1βand 10),oxidative stress enzyme(heme oxygenase-1)and apoptosis regulator(B-cell lymphoma 2).RESULTS Diclofenac caused overt histological damage in both tissues,associated with parallel changes in all parameters *** 5 and omeprazole effectively prevented these changes,but STW 5 superseded omeprazole in protecting against histological damage,particularly in the *** The findings support the therapeutic usefulness of STW 5 and its superiority over omeprazole as adjuvant therapy to NSAIDs to protect against their possible gastro-duodenal side effects.

Background:Bile duct injury(BDI)after cholecystectomy remains a significant surgical *** guideline exists to guide the timing of repair,while few studies compare early versus late repair *** study aimed to analyze the outcomes in patients undergoing immediate,intermediate,and delayed repair of ***:We retrospectively analyzed 412 patients with BDI from March 2015 to January *** patients were divided into three groups based on the time of BDI *** 1 underwent an immediate reconstruction(within the first 72 hours post-cholecystectomy,n=156);group 2 underwent an intermediate reconstruction(from 4 days to 6 weeks post-cholecystectomy,n=75),and group 3 underwent delayed reconstruction(after 6 weeks post-cholecystectomy,n=181).Results:Patients in group 2 had significantly more early complications including anastomotic leakage and intra-abdominal collection and late complications including anastomotic stricture and secondary liver cirrhosis compared with groups 1 and *** outcome was observed in 111(71.2%)patients in group 1,31(41.3%)patients in group 2,and 157(86.7%)patients in group 3(P=0.0001).Multivariate analysis identified that complete ligation of the bile duct,level E1 BDI and the use of external stent were independent factors of favorable outcome in group 1,the use of external stent was an independent factor of favorable outcome in group 2,and level E4 BDI was an independent factor of unfavorable outcome in group *** BDI and level E4 BDI were independent factors of unfavorable ***:Favorable outcomes were more frequently observed in the immediate and delayed reconstruction of post-cholecystectomy *** ligation of the bile duct,level E1 BDI and the use of external stent were independent factors of a favorable outcome.

3-Bromopyruvate(3BP) is a new, promising anticancer alkylating agent with several notable functions. In addition to inhibiting key glycolysis enzymes including hexokinase II and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH), 3BP also selectively inhibits mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, angiogenesis, and energy production in cancer cells. Moreover, 3BP induces hydrogen peroxide generation in cancer cells(oxidative stress effect) and competes with the LDH substrates pyruvate and lactate. There is only one published human clinical study showing that 3BP was effective in treating fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma. LDH is a good measure for tumor evaluation and predicts the outcome of treatment better than the presence of a residual tumor mass. According to the Warburg effect, LDH is responsible for lactate synthesis, which facilitates cancer cell survival, progression, aggressiveness, metastasis, and angiogenesis. Lactate produced through LDH activity fuels aerobic cell populations inside tumors via metabolic symbiosis. In melanoma, the most deadly skin cancer, 3BP induced necrotic cell death in sensitive cells, whereas high glutathione(GSH) content made other melanoma cells resistant to 3BP. Concurrent use of a GSH depletor with 3BP killed resistant melanoma cells. Survival of melanoma patients was inversely associated with high serum LDH levels, which was reported to be highly predictive of melanoma treatment in randomized clinical trials. Here, we report a 28-year-old man presented with stage IV metastatic melanoma affecting the back, left pleura, and lung. The disease caused total destruction of the left lung and a high serum LDH level(4,283 U/L). After ethics committee approval and written patient consent, the patient received 3BP intravenous infusions(1-2.2 mg/kg), but the anticancer effect was minimal as indicated by a high serum LDH level. Background: As regard to adjuvant supplementations, nowadays dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is widely used all over the world and is considered to be a potential agent to ameliorate the assisted reproduction technologies outcomes of infertile women with poor ovarian reserve. Objective: To find out the role of DHEA supplementation in improving intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) outcome for infertile women with expected poor ovarian response in controlled ovarian stimulation. Setting: Assisted reproduction unit of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Faculty of Medicine, South Valley University, Egypt. Duration: From April 2016 to May 2018. Study Design: A randomized double-blinded controlled trial. Methods: One hundred and forty infertile women with expected poor ovarian response prepared for ICSI procedure were included in this study. Patients were divided into two groups;group I (DHEA group) included 70 patients received 25 mg DHEA 12 weeks prior to ICSI cycle and group II (placebo group) included 70 patients received a placebo. Results: There was a highly statistically significant difference in basal AFC at start of ICSI cycle in group I (who received DHEA supplementation for 12 weeks prior to ICSI procedure) than in group II (13.8 ± 5.3 versus 10.7 ± 4.6 respectively) with P 0.05). Conclusions & Recommendations: DHEA supplementations improved basal AFC, increased the number & quality of oocytes and increased quality of embryos in infertile patients with expected poor ovarian response in ICSI procedure.
