Efficient energy harvesting from PV Panel with reinforced hydrophilic nano-materials for eco-buildings

The main target of this research is to allow solar PV to contribute economically to an on-grid energy-efficient building where the dust accumulation is a significant ***-cleaning coatings such as hydrophobic or hy-drophilic materials have recently been introduced to reduce dust deposition on building-integrated PV(BIPV)*** hydrophilic Nano-coated material is examined as a solution to decrease the impact of the dust on the BIPV panels and harvest more solar *** impartial comparison of the BIPV panels performance under natu-ral dust conditions,manual cleaning,and hydrophilic nanomaterial coating is *** an exhaustive and qualitative experimental analysis,the anti-reflection and anti-static properties of the utilized Nano-coated material are *** experimental results show that the hydrophilic Nano-coated material significantly improves the gathered maximum output power by 18%compared to the manually wiped *** calculated efficiencies of the Nano-coated,manual cleaning,and dusty panels are 11%,9%,and 6%,respectively,which highlights the futureproofing of the Nano-coated solar *** to the dusty panels,the ecological and economical results show that the BIPV carbon emissions are desirably dropped by 11%while using Nano-coated PV panels and the payback period is reduced to 3.9 years,which is approximately 12.8%faster.

Efficient ECG classification based on Chi-square distance for arrhythmia detection

This study introduces a new classifier tailored to address the limitations inherent in conventional classifiers such as K-nearest neighbor(KNN),random forest(RF),decision tree(DT),and support vector machine(SVM)for arrhythmia *** proposed classifier leverages the Chi-square distance as a primary metric,providing a specialized and original approach for precise arrhythmia *** optimize feature selection and refine the classifier’s performance,particle swarm optimization(PSO)is integrated with the Chi-square distance as a fitness *** synergistic integration enhances the classifier’s capabilities,resulting in a substantial improvement in accuracy for arrhythmia *** results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed method,achieving a noteworthy accuracy rate of 98% with PSO,higher than 89% achieved without any previous *** classifier outperforms machine learning(ML)and deep learning(DL)techniques,underscoring its reliability and superiority in the realm of arrhythmia *** promising results render it an effective method to support both academic and medical communities,offering an advanced and precise solution for arrhythmia detection in electrocardiogram(ECG)data.

Assessment of groundwater suitability for different activities in Toshka district,south Egypt

Globally,groundwater has globally emerged as a crucial freshwater source for domestic,irrigation,and industrial *** evaluation of groundwater quality in the Toshka region is imperative to ensure its suitability for the extensive agricultural and industrial activities underway in this promising,groundwater-dependent development *** is particularly significant as Egypt increasingly relies on groundwater reserves to address freshwater deficits and to implement mega-development projects in barren *** this study,fifty-two samples were collected from the recently drilled wells tapping into the Nubian Sandstone Aquifer(NSA)in the Toshka *** quality was assessed through hydrochemical analysis,Piper diagram,and various indicators such as Na%,SAR,RSC,KR,MH and *** hydrochemical analysis revealed improved groundwater quality characteristics,attributed to continuous recharge from Lake *** Piper diagram categorised most of the water samples as"secondary salinity"water *** all wells proved suitable for irrigation with only two wells unsuitable based on MH values and six wells based on KR *** Total Hardness(TH)values,all samples were classified as"Soft",indicating their suitability for domestic and industrial *** Quality Index(WQI)results concluded that all samples met WHO and FAO guidelines for drinking and irrigation,*** distribution maps,constructed using GIS,facilitate the interpretation of the *** monitoring of quality parameters is essential to detect any deviation from permissible limits.

Evaluation of the Neurodevelopmental Outcome of Toddlers with Spinal Dysraphism after Surgical Repair Using ASQ-3^™ Scores

Background: Spinal dysraphism represents a wide spectrum of congenital abnormalities of the spine. Myelomeningocele is considered the most common malformation and the most common we saw in our community, with its morbidity problems seen commonly in the postoperative period. ASQ-3TM Scores are the ages and stages questionnaire, third edition, and represent a tool to assess the development progress, especially in toddlers. Objectives: Evaluation of neurodevelopmental outcome among Sudanese toddlers with spinal dysraphism after surgical closure with or without a VP shunt using ASQ-3TM Scores. Methodology: This is a retrospective hospital-based study of 84 patients who underwent myelomeningocele repair at the National Center for Neurological Sciences (NCNS) during the period from 2017 up to 2019. Data were collected through a constructed questionnaire, including ASQ-3TM Scores. Data were processed and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) computer program. Version 25. Results: 84 patients were included in this study;all patients were diagnosed with spinal dysraphism. Out of them, 51 (60.7%) were 2 years old, 33 (39.3%) were 3 years old, 45 (53.6%) were male, 45 (53.6%) of patients mothers attended ANC irregularly, and 54 (64.3%) their mothers didn’t receive folate supplements. 44 (52.3%) of patients underwent MMC repair only, while 40 (47.7%) underwent MMC repair and VP shunt. The commonest postoperative complication was infection, reported in 12 (14.3%) of patients, followed by VP shunt revision in 9 (10.7%) of patients. Neurological assessment showed that the majority of patients need further assessment with a professional, 57 (67.9%) of children don’t walk, run, or climb like other toddlers as their parent’s state;also, half of patients (42, 50%) had medical problems, and 27 (32.1%) of their parent’s state that they do not talk like other toddlers their age. A Comparative Analysis on Surgical Outcomes and Complications of Endoscopic and Open Vein Harvesting Techniques

Objective: The great saphenous vein (GSV) is commonly used as a conduit for grafting during CABG surgery, and open GSV harvesting (OVH), commonly used with long incision to expose the vein. However, endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) is an alternative approach, utilizing specialized instruments and small incisions to harvest the vein. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on a cohort of patients who underwent Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) requiring great saphenous vein (GSV) harvesting which was done by EVH or OVH procedures. Demographic variables, including age and gender, were assessed for both groups. Intraoperative variables such as the number of grafts, cardiopulmonary bypass time, X clamp time, and type of procedure were analyzed. Postoperative variables, including infection and bleeding rates, were also evaluated. Results: The study included 30 patients each undergoing Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) with need of great saphenous vein harvesting which was done by EVH and OVH. Demographic variables were well-matched between the two groups in terms of age, while a significant difference in gender distribution was observed. Obesity and smoking were more prevalent in the OVH group, and EVH was associated with a higher mean number of grafts compared to OVH. Conversion to an open technique occurred in a portion of the EVH cases, and infection rates did not significantly differ between the EVH and OVH groups. However, the incidence of postoperative bleeding was significantly higher in the EVH group. Conclusion: This study provides valuable insights into the demographic, intraoperative, and postoperative variables associated with EVH and OVH techniques. EVH demonstrated advantages in terms of reduced infection rates compared to OVH. However, the higher incidence of postoperative bleeding associated with EVH raises concerns about potential risks.

碘铅甲眯(FAPbI_(3))钙钛矿太阳能电池因其优异的光伏性能而受到广泛关注,但器件的长期稳定性仍然是FAPbI_(3)太阳能电池的关键问题。FAPbI_(3)黑色钙钛矿相在室温下会相变为黄色非钙钛矿相,且水分会加速这一相变。界面工程是提高钙钛矿太阳能电池稳定性的常用方法之一。作为绿色溶剂,离子液体被认为是有毒界面修饰剂的潜在替代品,这也提高了它们的商业可行性,并加速了它们在可再生能源市场的应用。本研究利用具有低挥发性、低毒性、高导电性和高热稳定性的离子液体1-乙基-3-甲基咪唑四氟硼酸盐(EMIM[BF_(4)])来修饰钙钛矿太阳能电池的电子传输层和钙钛矿层之间的界面。离子液体的引入不仅减少了界面缺陷,而且提高了钙钛矿薄膜的质量。密度泛函理论计算表明,离子液体与钙钛矿表面之间存在较强的界面相互作用,有利于降低钙钛矿表面缺陷态密度,稳定钙钛矿晶格。除钙钛矿薄膜缺陷外,溶液处理的SnO_(2)也存在表面缺陷。在SnO_(2)表面的缺陷产生缺陷态,也会导致能带对准问题和稳定性问题。密度泛函理论计算表明,有离子液体的表面间隙态比没有离子液体的表面间隙态小,这种减弱的表面间隙态表明表面区域载流子复合减少,有利于提高器件性能。因此,我们实现了功率转换效率大于22%的离子液体修饰的FAPbI_(3)钙钛矿太阳能电池(对照21%)。在相对湿度~20%的干箱中存放1800h以上后,冠军器件保留了初始状态的~90%,而控制器件降解为非钙钛矿黄色六方相(δ-FAPbI_(3))。
