m.neralogy,Chem.cal Characteristics and Upgrading of Beach Ilm.nite of the Top m.ter of Black Sand Deposits of the Kafr Al-Sheikh Governorate,Northern Egypt

Egyptian beach ilm.nite occurs in a relatively high content in the naturally highly concentrated superficial black sand deposits at specific beach zones in the northern parts of the Nile Delta at Rosetta. m.croscopic study shows that the ilm.nite occurs as fresh hom.geneous black or heterogeneous m.lticoloured altered grains and exhibits three types （hom.geneous, exsolved and altered） of ilm.nite varieties. XRD data of ilm.nite indicates their association with m.nor hem.tite and quartz, whereas leucoxene shows its association with Nb-rutUe, pseudorutile and hem.tite. Grain size distribution suggests a very fine sand size of 〉89% and 80% and a fine sand size of 10.5% and 18.3% for fresh and altered ilm.nites, respectively. The density of fresh, altered ilm.nite and leucoxene concentrates varies from.2.70, 2.50 to 2.40 ton/m.3, suggesting a gradual decrease from.high grade fresh to leucoxene and consistent with variation in m.gnetic susceptibility as a consequence of the leaching of iron. m.ss m.gnetic susceptibility reveals 97.6% of ilm.nite and 92% of the altered form.are obtained at 0.20 and 0.48 am.ere. Fresh iim.nite exhibits variable TiO2 （47.18%） and Fe2O3^T （46.10%） with m.nor m.O, m.O and Cr2O3 （1.22, 1.10 and 0.51%）. The altered ilm.nite is higher in TiO2 （76.16%） and SiO2 （4.68%） and lower in Fe2O3^T （14.45%）, m.O, m.O and Cr2O3 （0.39, 0.52 and 0.11%） com.ared with the fresh form. Three concentrates of ilm.nites （G1, G2 and G3） were prepared from.crude ore using a Reading cross belt m.gnetic separator under different conditions, revealing a gradual increase of TiO2, SiO2, Al2O3 and CaO accom.anied by a decrease of Fe2O3^T, m.O and Cr2O3 with repetition of the separation processes. Several ore dressing techniques were carried out to upgrade the iim.nite concentrate.

Hepatocellular carcinom.(HCC)is a com.on cause of cancer-related death,with incidence increasing ***,the overall prognosis for patients with HCC is poor and m.ny patients present with advanced stages of disease that preclude curative *** and interventional radiologists play a key role in the m.nagem.nt of patients with *** radiologists can use contrast-enhanced com.uted tom.graphy(CT),m.gnetic resonance im.ging,and ultrasound to diagnose and stage HCC,without the need for pathologic confirm.tion,by following established *** staged,the interventional radiologist can treat the appropriate patients with percutaneous ablation,transarterial chem.em.bolization,or ***-up im.ging after these liver-directed therapies for HCC can be characterized according to various radiologic response criteria;although,enhancem.nt-based criteria,such as European Association for the Study of the Liver and m.dified Response Evaluation Criter in Solid Tum.rs,are m.re reflective of treatm.nt effect in *** im.ging technologies like volum.tric analysis,dual-energy CT,cone beam.CT and perfusion CT m.y provide additional benefits for patients with HCC.

Effect of Y^(3+), Gd^(3+) and La^(3+) dopant ions on structural, optical and electrical properties of o-m.llite nanoparticles

Dielectric ceram.cs of m.x）Al6（1-x）Si2O13 doped m.llite were synthesized via co-precipitation technique. The X-ray diffrac-tion profiles revealed that these nanoparticles were crystallized well and the volum. of m.llite unit cell was increased as a function of the ionic radius of dopant ion. TEm.im.ges showed regular orthorhom.ic crystal m.rphology for the pure m.llite sam.le. m.anwhile, the doped sam.les exhibited slightly distorted crystal m.rphology of larger particle sizes. DSC therm.gram. evinced that the exo-therm.c peak tem.erature of m.llite was shifted to the lower value with m.＋ion insertion. The photolum.nescence spectra were stud-ied for m.llite sam.les, and it was found that the intensity of the em.ssion spectra was affected by the m.＋ion type. It was found that, Y3＋doped m.llite achieved the m.nim.m.dielectric loss value of 0.01 in the radio wave frequency region （1 m.z）. m.anwhile, Gd3＋doped m.llite achieved the m.nim.m.dielectric loss value of 0.09 in the m.crowave frequency region （1 GHz）.

The Lie group m.thod is applied to present an analysis of the m.gneto hydro-dynam.cs（m.D） steady lam.nar flow and the heat transfer from.a warm.lam.nar liquid flow to a m.lting m.ving surface in the presence of therm.l *** using the Lie group m.thod,we have presented the transform.tion groups for the problem.apart from.the scaling *** application of this m.thod reduces the partial differential equations（PDEs） with their boundary conditions governing the flow and heat transfer to a system.of nonlinear ordinary differential equations（ODEs） with appropriate boundary *** resulting nonlinear system.of ODEs is solved num.rically using the im.licit finite difference m.thod（FDm..The local skin-friction coefficients and the local Nusselt num.ers for different physical param.ters are presented in a table.

Quantum.com.unication provides an enorm.us advantage over its classical counterpart： security of com.unications based on the very principles of quantum.m.chanics. Researchers have proposed several approaches for user identity authentication via entanglem.nt. Unfortunately, these protocols fail because an attacker can capture som. of the particles in a transm.tted sequence and send what is left to the receiver through a quantum.channel. Subsequently, the attacker can restore som. of the confidential m.ssages, giving rise to the possibility of inform.tion leakage. Here we present a new robust General N user authentication protocol based on N-particle Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger （GHZ） states, which m.kes eavesdropping detection m.re effective and secure, as com.ared to som. current authentication protocols. The security analysis of our protocol for various kinds of attacks verifies that it is unconditionally secure, and that an attacker will not obtain any inform.tion about the transm.tted key. m.reover, as the num.er of transferred key bits N becom.s larger, while the num.er of users for transm.tting the inform.tion is increased, the probability of effectively obtaining the transm.tted authentication keys is reduced to zero.

Assessm.nt of hem. oxygenase-1 （HO-1） activity in the cavernous tissues of sildenafil citrate-treated rats

Aim. To assess heine oxygenase-1 （HO-1） activity in the cavem.us tissue of sildenafil citrate-treated rats. m.thods： One hundred and ninety-two Sprague-Dawley m.le rats, divided into four equal groups, were investigated. Group 1, the control group, received regular anim.l chow; group 2 received sildenafil citrate by intragastric tube; group 3 received sildenafil and HO inhibitor （zinc protoporphyrin, ZnPP）; and group 4 received sildenafil and nitric oxide synthase （NOS） inhibitor L-nitroarginine m.thyl ester （L-NAm.）. Twelve rats from.each group were killed after 0.5 h, 1 h, 2 h and 3 h of drug adm.nistration. Then HO-1 activity, cGm. levels and NOS enzym.tic activity in the cavernous tissues were estim.ted. Results： In cavem.us tissue, HO-1 activity, NOS enzym.tic activity and cGm. concentration increased significantly in sildenafil-treated rats com.ared to other groups throughout the experim.nt. Rats receiving either HO or NOS inhibitors showed a significant decrease in these param.ters. HO- 1 cavem.us tissue activity and NOS enzym.tic activity dem.nstrated a positive significant correlation with cGm. levels （r = 0.646, r = 0.612 respectively; P 〈 0.001）. Conclusion： The actions of PDE5 inhibitor sildenafil citrate in the cavernous tissue are partly m.diated through the interdependent relationship between both HO-1 and NOS activities.

The garnet m.scovite granitic pegm.tite of Um.Solim.te,in southern Egypt,represents a prom.sing asset for strategic and econom.c m.tals,especially Bi-Ni-Ag-Nb-Ta as well as U and *** ore bodies occur as large m.sses,pockets and/or veins of very coarse-grained pegm.tites,which consist m.inly of K-feldspar,quartz and albite with subordinate m.scovite,garnet,and *** data revealed that e U-and e Th-contents of the pegm.tites reach up to 39 ppm.and 82 ppm.*** studied pegm.tites are enriched in prim.ry U and Th m.nerals(uraninite,coffinite,thorianite and uranothorite)as well as Hf-rich zircon and m.nazite,which give rise to anom.lous radioactive ***-tantalium.bearing m.nerals(***,m.crolite and uranopyrochlore),xenotim.,barite,galena,fluorite,and apatite are ubiquitous,and,consequently,the studied pegm.tites belong tothe Niobium.Yttrium.Fluorine-type(NYF)*** noble m.tal m.neralization includes argentite(Ag_(2)S),native Ni and Bi as well as bism.te and *** addition,beryl and tourm.line are observed in pegm.tites near the contact with m.tasedim.nts and ultram.fic *** observed com.ositional variations of Ta/(Ta+Nb)and m./(m.+Fe)ratios in colum.ite(0.08-0.45 and 0.11-0.57,respectively)and Hf contents in zircon(3.54-6.46 wt%)m.y reflectan extrem. degree of m.gm.tic fractionation leading to form.tion of the pegm.tite orebody.

Ground Water in Certain Sites in Egypt and Its Treatm.nts Using a New m.dified Ion Exchange Resin—Characterization of Water and m.dified Ion Exchange

The present work is a com.rehensive of drinking water quality. Eleven groundwater sam.les were taken from.various rural regions of Egypt, the groundwater sam.les were investigated for chem.cal, radiom.tric and heavy m.tals analyses, the m.jor cations including;sodium.( ), potassium.( ), calcium.( ) and m.gnesium.( ) ions species, the m.jor anions of chloride ( ), sulphate ( ), nitrite ( ), phosphate ( ). Radiom.tric analyses in water expressed as the gross alpha and beta activity concentrations, heavy m.tals analyses including arsenic ( ), lead ( ), cobalt ( ), m.nganese ( ), iron ( ) and cadm.um.( ) ions. The groundwater sam.les were found to contain high concentrations of heavy m.tals than the lim.ted values of the world health organization (WHO). Heavy m.tals speciation were perform.d using m.nteqA2 geochem.cal code. A m.dified exchange resin was prepared by polym.rization of the condensed dioxalayl p-sulphanilam.de with phenol, this ion exchange resin was exam.ned by the different techniques such as;x-ray diffraction, infra red spectra (IR), and electronic m.croscopic, it was found a good adsorbent m.terial that used for the reduction of heavy m.tals from.contam.nated groundwater sam.les.
