Gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs)represent a malignant gastrointestinal tumor of neurofibromatosis type 1(NF1)Von Recklinghausen *** the current case,we report a 27-year-old woman with NF1,who presented with a lower abdominal mass,symptomatic anaemia,and significant weight *** employed multiple approaches to assess the tumor behavior,including computed tomography(CT)scan,surgical tumor resection,histological and immunohistochemical analysis and gene ***,the patient was given Imatinib mesylate(Gleevec)as adjuvant *** scan delineated a large thick wall cavity lesion connecting to the small bowel *** of the tumor yielded a mass of 17 cm×13 cm with achievement of safety *** diagnosis was GIST,confirmed by immunohistochemical expression of CD117,CD34,and *** revealed no mutations in either KIT or platelet-derived growth factor receptor-alpha,genes which are mutated in over 85%of sporadic GIST ***,there was no evidence of recurrence,metastasis or metachronous GIST for over three years in our *** our analyses,we believe selective genotyping is advisable for high risk patients to predict potential tumor behavior.

In an attempt to evaluate the environmental quality of Marsa-Matrouh city which covered the most famous beaches in Egypt, an environmental risk assessment was performed, including a screening level ecological risk assessment. The aim of this work was to determine which metals could possibly pose toxic adverse ecological effects to marine organisms and to determine whether hot spots exist or not. To fulfill the goals of study, surfacial sediment and water samples were collected from ten different locations covering Marsa-Matrouh city during four seasons (2010-2011). The average concentrations of Cd, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pb and Zn were 2.381 ± 3.389, 9.307 ± 14.159, 68.969 ± 9.397, 2.642 ± 1.004, 16.712 ± 8.469, 31.168 ± 15.322 μg/l in water and 0.755 ± 0.240, 5.363 ± 1.581, 962.131 ± 975.084, 3.972 ± 2.180, 15.210 ± 4.434 and 24.608 ± 7.706 μg/g dry weight in sediment respectively. The concentrations of the investigated six metals in water were within the acceptable limits except for two stations (Cleopatra and El-Obayed) which exhibited higher values than the permissible level of Cd during autumn 2010. Metal pollution assessment for both water and sediment was studied. Heavy metal pollution index indicates that water is not critically polluted with respect to the investigated metals. For sediment samples, threshold effect concentrations (TEC HQ) were lower than 1 except for Cd which showed higher value than 1, indicating the possibility of occurrence of toxic adverse ecological effects to benthic organisms for Cd, while rare adverse ecological effects are expected to occur with respect to Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn.

Crop discrimination through satellite imagery is still problematic. Accuracy of crop classification for high spatial resolution satellite imagery in the intensively cultivated lands of the Egyptian Nile delta is still low. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to determine the optimal hyperspectral wavebands in the spectral range of (400 - 2500 nm) to discriminate between two winter crops (Wheat and Clover) and two summer crops (Maize and Rice). This is considered as a first step to improve crop classification through satellite imagery in the intensively cultivated areas in Egypt. Hyperspectral ground measurements of ASD field Spec3 spectroradiometer was used to monitor the spectral reflectance profile during the period of the maximum growth stage of the four crops. 1-nm-wide was aggregated to 10-nm-wide bandwidths. After accounting for atmospheric windows and/or areas of significant noise, a total of 2150 narrow bands in 400 - 2500 nm were used in the analysis. Spectral reflectance was divided into six spectral zones: blue, green, red, near-infrared, shortwave infrared-I and shortwave infrared-II. One Way ANOVA and Tukey’s HSD post hoc analysis was performed to choose the optimal spectral zone that could be used to differentiate the different crops. Then, linear regression discrimination (LDA) was used to identify the specific optimal wavebands in the spectral zones in which each crop could be spectrally identified. The results of Tukey’s HSD showed that blue, NIR, SWIR-1 and SWIR-2 spectral zones are more sufficient in the discrimination between wheat and clover than green and red spectral zones. At the same time, all spectral zones were quite sufficient to discriminate between rice and maize. The results of (LDA) showed that the wavelength zone (727:1299 nm) was the optimal to identify clover crop while three zones (350:712, 1451:1562, 1951:2349 nm) could be used to identify wheat crop. In the present work,a 5-kW hybrid PV solar system was installed on the roof of a house in Diyala,Iraq(33.77°N,45.14°E elevation 44 m).The system consists of two strings,where each string consists of nine polycrystalline PV modules with 355 Wp in series,and the two strings are in *** energy storage system(ESS)consists of two parallel strings,each with four 12 V and 150 Ah tubular deep cycle batteries in series.A hybrid inverter of 5 kW rated power was operated in different *** results showed that May’s monthly energy consumption was about 822.9 and 1085 kWh,*** percentage distribution of the DC energy produced was about 1%system energy losses,27.9%was used to charge the ESS,34.3%was used to feed the grid,and the remaining 37.64%was used to share the *** energy percentage sharing the load was 16.67%from ESS,33.33%from the PV system,and 50%*** average daily reference,array,and final yields were 6.07,4.327,and 3.991 h/day,*** average array and load efficiencies were 12.3%and 92.24%,with the performance ratio at 65.4%.

The present work measured the bulk etch rate (VB?) of solid state nuclear track detector by taking the diameter time measurement of alpha particle in CR-39 detector. The values of the track diameter have been found by using TRACK-TEST program from Yu et al. function and Brun et al. function with different energies of alpha particles. The results showed that the time-diameter (t-d) method gave good results of the bulk etch rate (VB?) and these values were (1.705 and 1.72) μm·hr-1. They showed good agreement with the values measured by using the other methods, and it was a simple method because it required getting diameters of the tracks in the detector with the etching time.

The reaction of the tetrahydrobenzo[b]thiophene derivatives 1a,b with benzoylisothiocyanate (2) afforded the thiourea derivatives 3a,b. Cyclization of the latter products gave the annulated products 4a,b. Compounds 3a,b reacted with either hydrazine hydrate (5a) or phenyl hydrazine (5b) afforded compounds 7a-d which underwent cyclization for compounds 7a,c afforded compound 9. On the other hand compounds 4a,b reacted with either hydrazine hydrate (5a) or phenyl hydrazine (5b) afforded compounds 6a-d a second pathway was applied to synthesize compound 6c which underwent cyclization afforded compound 9. also compounds 4a,b reacted with either phenacyl bromide (10) afforded compounds 11a,b or ethylchloroacetae (12) compounds 13a,b were produced. The latter products reacted with each hydrazine hydrate (5a) and phenyl hydrazine (5b) afforded compounds 14a-d. Their antitumor activities were tested using three different cell lines.

Making use of the Cho-Kwon-Srivastava operator, we introduce and study a certain SCn (j, p, λ, α, δ) of p-valently analytic functions with negative coefficients. In this paper, we obtain coefficient estimates, distortion theorem, radii of close-to-convexity, starlikeness and convexity and modified Hadamard products of functions belonging to the class SCn (j, p, λ, α, δ). Finally, several applications investigate an integral operator, and certain fractional calculus operators also considered.

The potential of the high resolution nuclear track detector (NTD) CR-39 is examined carefully for the measurement of relativistic nuclear projectile fragmentation cross sections and studies of related processes using the experience of many years of such measurements. The charge resolution and the charge resolving power of CR-39 detectors for the measurements of 158 A GeV 207Pb projectiles and their fragments are presented. Exposures of target-detector stacks, the chemical etching procedure and the nuclear track measurements are described in detail discussing precautions and possible errors. The procedures discussed are also valid for other NTDs. A comparison with electronic active detectors is also made considering important detection and measurement aspects. An experimental design proposing the co-use of NTDs with in-use active detectors is described.
