In this study, we focus into the non-rela.ivistic wa.e equa.ion described by the Schrodinger equa.ion, specifica.ly considering a.gula.-dependent potentia.s within the context of a.topologica. defect ba.kground genera.ed by a.cosmic string. Our prima.y goa. is to explore qua.i-exa.tly solva.le problems by introducing a. extended ring-sha.ed potentia.. We utilize the Bethe a.sa.z method to determine the a.gula. solutions, while the ra.ia. solutions a.e obta.ned using specia. functions. Our findings demonstra.e tha. the eigenva.ue solutions of qua.tum pa.ticles a.e intrica.ely influenced by the presence of the topologica. defect of the cosmic string,resulting in significa.t modifica.ions compa.ed to those in a.fla. spa.e ba.kground. The existence of the topologica. defect induces a.tera.ions in the energy spectra. disrupting ***, we extend our a.a.ysis to study the sa.e problem in the presence of a.ring-sha.ed potentia. a.a.nst the ba.kground of a.other topologica. defect geometry known a. a.point-like globa. monopole. Following a.simila. procedure, we obta.n the eigenva.ue solutions a.d a.a.yze the results. Rema.ka.ly, we observe tha. the presence of a.globa. monopole lea.s to a.decrea.e in the energy levels compa.ed to the fla. spa.e results. In both ca.es, we conduct a.thorough numerica. a.a.ysis to va.ida.e our findings.

Microbia. fuel cells (MFCs) a.e innova.ive devices tha. combine microbia. processes with electrochemica. rea.tions to convert orga.ic ma.ter in wa.tewa.er into electricity while simulta.eously trea.ing the wa.tewa.er. One such a.plica.ion is the trea.ment of spent wa.h, a.highly polluting effluent genera.ed from the distillery industry a.ter crude mesh is sepa.a.ed into etha.ol a.d spent wa.h. Spent wa.h, a.so known a. distillery effluent or stilla.e, is a.highly cha.lenging wa.tewa.er trea.ment method due to its high chemica. oxygen dema.d (COD), biologica. oxygen dema.d (BOD), a.d tota. dissolved solids (TDS). These cha.a.teristics ma.e it a.complex a.d polluting industria. effluent tha. requires specia.ized trea.ment processes to reduce its environmenta. impa.t effectively. However, MFCs ha.e shown promise in trea.ing spent wa.h, a. they ca. utilize the orga.ic ma.ter in wa.tewa.er a. a.fuel source for microbia. growth a. well a. for electricity genera.ion. For the trea.ment of spent wa.h, Sa.cha.omyces cerevisia. sp. wa. used a. a.bioca.a.yst a.ong with 340 mol/L pota.sium ferricya.ide in the ca.hode cha.ber a.d 170 mol/L methylene blue in the a.ode a. a.media.or. a.l tests were conducted by ba.a.cing a.one-liter volume for power production from spent wa.h in MFC with the optima. conditions of 10% a.a.ose, pH 8.5, 300 mL/min of a.ra.ion in the ca.hode cha.ber, a.d 40% (in weight) substra.e concentra.ion. a. a. idea. concentra.ion, the ma.imum current a.d power density a.e roughly 53.41 ma.m2 a.d 72.22 mW/m2, respectively. For ea.h litre of processed spent wa.h, a.ma.imum volta.e of 850 mV (4.5 ma. wa. obta.ned. a.a.ingly, 91% of COD a.d BOD were removed from the effluent MFC. These findings show tha. MFCs a.e ca.a.le of producing electricity a.d efficiently removing COD from wa.ted wa.h a. the sa.e time.
