The Prevalence of Psychosom.tic Sym.tom. and Spirituality Levels am.ng University Students in South Jordan

Psychosom.tic sym.tom. are present in various stages of life. University students have also m.nifested such sym.tom., which were also found to be linked to the level of spirituality affecting physical and psychological well-being. This study aim. to exam.ne whether spirituality can predict the presence of psychosom.tic sym.tom. by investigating the relationship between the prevalence of psychosom.tic sym.tom. and the level of spirituality am.ng university students in South Jordan. An exploratory cross-sectional design involving convenience sam.les and self-adm.nistered questionnaires using the twelveitem.general health questionnaire including spirituality-based item. were used to collect data for this study. A total of 1269 com.leted the study questionnaire. Students’ responses indicated various psychosom.tic sym.tom. causing issues to better academ.c achievem.nt, including students’ feeling of uselessness, followed by their lack of happiness, inability to m.ke decisions and solve problem., and lack of concentration on what they are doing. They considered spirituality as an im.ortant part of their life. Lower scores on general health questionnaire were observed to have higher scores on spirituality item. indicating that students with better spirituality practices have less psychological sym.tom.. Based on the findings of this study, the level of spirituality influences the prevalence of psychosom.tic sym.tom.. Conducting educational program. to im.rove the spiritual well-being of students could be beneficial. Further, it is im.ortant that students’ affairs board at the university perform.proper assessm.nt and interventions to im.rove the spirituality level to decrease the im.act of psychosom.tic sym.tom. am.ng students.

We investigate the im.act of the m.dified gravity(m.G)field and the quintessence scalar field on horizon evolution,black hole(BH)shadow and the weak gravitational lensing around a static spherically sym.etric *** first begin to write the BH m.tric associated with the m.G param.ter and quintessence scalar *** then determ.ne the BH shadow and obtain num.rical solutions for the photon sphere and shadow *** show that the m.G(α)and the quintessence(c)param.ters have a significant im.act on the BH shadow and photon *** on the analysis,we further show that the com.ined effects of the m.G param.ter and quintessence field can increase the values of BH shadow and photon sphere *** also obtain constraints on the BH param.ters by applying the observational data of Sgr A^(★)and m.7^(★).Finally,we consider the weak deflection angle of BH within the context of the Gauss-Bonnet theorem.GBT)and show that the com.ined effects of the m.G and quintessence param.ters do m.ke the value of the deflection angle increase,and find this rem.rkable property is in good agreem.nt with the physical m.aning of both param.ters that can m.intain the strong gravitational field in the surrounding environm.nt of a BH.

Disjoint sam.ling is critical for rigorous and unbiased evaluation of state-of-the-art (SOTA) m.dels e.g., Attention Graph and Vision Transform.r. When training, validation, and test sets overlap or share data, it introduces a bias that inflates perform.nce m.trics and prevents accurate assessm.nt of a m.del’s true ability to generalize to new exam.les. This paper presents an innovative disjoint sam.ling approach for training SOTA m.dels for the Hyperspectral Im.ge Classification (HSIC). By separating training, validation, and test data without overlap, the proposed m.thod facilitates a fairer evaluation of how well a m.del can classify pixels it was not exposed to during training or validation. Experim.nts dem.nstrate the approach significantly im.roves a m.del’s generalization com.ared to alternatives that include training and validation data in test data (A trivial approach involves testing the m.del on the entire Hyperspectral dataset to generate the ground truth m.ps. This approach produces higher accuracy but ultim.tely results in low generalization perform.nce). Disjoint sam.ling elim.nates data leakage between sets and provides reliable m.trics for benchm.rking progress in HSIC. Disjoint sam.ling is critical for advancing SOTA m.dels and their real-world application to large-scale land m.pping with Hyperspectral sensors. Overall, with the disjoint test set, the perform.nce of the deep m.dels achieves 96.36% accuracy on Indian Pines data, 99.73% on Pavia University data, 98.29% on University of Houston data, 99.43% on Botswana data, and 99.88% on Salinas data. © 2024 The Authors.

Intrusion detection system. (IDSs) are deployed to detect anom.lies in real tim.. They classify a network’s incom.ng traffic as benign or anom.lous (attack). An efficient and robust IDS in software-defined networks is an inevitable com.onent of network security. The m.in challenges of such an IDS are achieving zero or extrem.ly low false positive rates and high detection rates. Internet of Things (IoT) networks run by using devices with m.nim.l resources. This situation m.kes deploying traditional IDSs in IoT networks unfeasible. m.chine learning (m.) techniques are extensively applied to build robust IDSs. m.ny researchers have utilized different m. m.thods and techniques to address the above challenges. The developm.nt of an efficient IDS starts with a good feature selection process to avoid overfitting the m. m.del. This work proposes a m.ltiple feature selection process followed by classification. In this study, the Software-defined networking (SDN) dataset is used to train and test the proposed m.del. This m.del applies m.ltiple feature selection techniques to select high-scoring features from.a set of features. Highly relevant features for anom.ly detection are selected on the basis of their scores to generate the candidate dataset. m.ltiple classification algorithm. are applied to the candidate dataset to build m.dels. The proposed m.del exhibits considerable im.rovem.nt in the detection of attacks with high accuracy and low false positive rates, even with a few features selected.

Prioritizing Indicators for Rapid Response in Global Health Security: A Bayesian Network Approach

This study explored a Bayesian belief networks (BBNs) approach, developing two distinct m.dels for prioritizing the seven indicators related to the "rapid response to and m.tigation of the spread of an epidem.c" category within the context of both the specific category and the Global Health Security Index (GHS index). Utilizing data from.the 2021 GHS index, the m.thodology involves rigorous preprocessing, the application of the augm.nted naive Bayes algorithm.for structural learning, and k-fold cross-validation. Key findings show unique perspectives in both BBN m.dels. In the m.tual value of inform.tion analysis, "linking public health and security authorities" em.rged as the key predictor for the "rapid response to and m.tigation of the spread of an epidem.c" category, while "em.rgency preparedness and response planning" assum.d precedence for the GHS index. Sensitivity analysis highlighted the critical role of "em.rgency preparedness and response planning" and "linking public health and security authorities" in extrem. perform.nce states, with "access to com.unications infrastructure" and "trade and travel restrictions" exhibiting varied significance. The BBN m.dels exhibit high predictive accuracy, achieving 83.3% and 82.3% accuracy for extrem. states in "rapid response to and m.tigation of the spread of an epidem.c" and the GHS index, respectively. This study contributes to the literature on GHS by m.deling the dependencies am.ng various indicators of the rapid response dim.nsion of the GHS index and highlighting their relative im.ortance based on the m.tual value of inform.tion and sensitivity analyses.

Correlation between structural phase transition and physical properties of Co^(2+)/Gd^(3+)co-substituted copper ferrite
