Multiplex Ligation-Dependent Probe Amplification (MLPA) was used to study the integrity of the chromosomes for two WIL2-derived lymphoblastoid cell lines (TK6 and WTK1) in the presence and absence of ionizing radiation. WTK1 cells contain a p53 mutation, whereas the TK6 cell line has the native p53 tumor-suppressor gene. Each cell line was isolated pre- and post-irradiation (2 and 3 Gy) and analyzed by MLPA. Using probes that target specific regions on chromosomes associated with a distinct subset of microdeletions and microduplications either established or thought to be responsible for intellectual disability or developmental delay, we have demonstrated that WTK1 and TK6 are not impacted in the same way by irradiation. Instead, each cell line presents its own unique MLPA profile. The most notable differences are the appearance of nine unique probe signals only seen in WTK1 cells. These results are important in the study of how different cell lines can be affected in significantly different ways depending on the presence or absence of wild type p53.

The antioxidant and cytotoxic activities of Methanolic and Dichloromethane extracts of Croton bonplandianum Baill were evaluated in a bid to provide better scientific basis for the isolation of bioactive compounds from the plant. The DPPH and hydroxyl radical scavenging activities of the Methanolic extract were 59.62%, and Dichloromethane extract was not toxic. Gallic acid used as reference compounds showed higher antioxidant activities to the plant extracts. Both methanolic and dichloromethane extracts were evaluated for their brine shrimp lethality. Methanolic extract showed cytotoxic activity in vitro with a LD50 value of 115.76 (0.0048-3.76) μg/ml. Etoposide was used as standard drug. Put together, these results confirm that Croton bonplandianum extracts possess appreciable natural antioxidant and cytotoxic potentials, thereby providing good justification for the isolation of pure bioactive compounds.

The effects of ionizing radiation on single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) copy number variations between TK6 and WTK1 cell lines are described herein. Specifically, the integrity of the chromosomes for two WIL2-derived lymphoblastoid cell lines (TK6 and WTK1) was analyzed in the presence and absence of ionizing radiation. WTK1 cells contain a p53 mutation, whereas the TK6 cell line has the native p53 tumor-suppressor gene. Each cell line was isolated post-irradiation for SNP analysis, which showed significant, genome-wide impacts on both cell lines;for the mutant WTK1 sample, there were a total of 48 gene deletions and no gene amplifications, whereas for the wild-type TK6 sample, there were 217 gene deletions and 9 gene amplifications. It appears that both cell lines are affected in the areas of cell-cycle control, but that other affected areas differ significantly between the two.

The smart vehicles are one of critical enablers for automated services in smart cities to provide intelligent transportation means without human *** order to fulfil requirements,Vehicle-to-Anything(V2X)communications aims to manage massive connectivity and high traffic load on base stations and extend the range over multiple hops in 5G ***,V2X networking faces several challenges from dynamic topology caused by high velocity of nodes and routing overhead that degrades the network performance and increases energy *** existing routing scheme for V2X networking lacks energy efficiency and scalability for high velocity nodes with dense *** order to handle the challenges,this article proposes a scalable and energy-efficient routing scheme called Dynamic proactive reactive routing for 5G(DPR5)for high mobility speed and dense *** compared to existing schemes it uses a single routing table and efficiently minimizes the energy consumption in dense environment,improves node‘s lifetime upto 42%,and optimizes network performance by reducing the packet loss ratio upto 46%in a high velocity dense environment.

Owing to the increasing energy demands and the environmental constraints,the need for bio-based materials has been on the rise due to their variety of favorable properties like biocompatibility,cost-effectiveness,large specific surface area,high porosity,and *** stability and mechanical strength of aerogels are highly dependent on their micro-porous structures.A three-dimensional structure based on cellulose nanofiber/chitosan(CNF/CS)aerogels was built using two different freezing methodologies,namely random freezing,and unidirectional freezing techniques,by changing mold *** unidirectional aerogels ultimately resulted in high-temperature stability and mechanical *** results show that the unidirectional CNF/CS(u-CNF/CS)aerogels contain controlled micro porous orientation relative to random-CNF/CS(r-CNF/CS)aerogels with the disordered porous *** high-temperature stability with an increase of glass transition temperature T_(g) from 275℃(CNF)to 283℃(CNF/CS),the ultra-low thermal conductivity of 0.030 W/(m·K),and mechanical robustness of u-CNF/CS aerogels make them quite favorable for practical applications.

The heavy oil reservoirs are currently mainly targeted by thermal enhanced oil recovery technologies,particularly,steam *** flooding is carried out by introducing heat into the reservoir to unlock the recovery of heavy oil by reducing oil *** investigations were carried out to improve oil recovery by steam *** recently,high steam flooding is reported as an effective approach to improve recovery in high pressure heavy oil *** oil recovery from steam flooding is sub-stantially affected by the steam quality and injection *** this study,an attempt was made to look into the integration of parameters,*** quality and injection temperature upon steam flooding on oil recovery by using a simulation approach via *** results obtained indicated that high temperature along with the moderate value of steam quality gives the best result regarding oil recovery for steam flooding in an economical way.

African trypanosomosis had caused lots of havocs to both humans and animals over a century with successes and failure in curtailing it. This study was aimed at screening medicinal plant, Terminalia chebula dried fruits against Trypanosoma evansi for trypanocidal activity. Twenty grams of powdered Terminalia chebula dried fruits was cold extracted with methanol. Obtained MPE （methanolic plant extract） was in vitro tested against Trypanosoma brucei （1 × 10^6 trypanosomes/mL of the medium in each ELISA plate wells） at concentrations （250～1,000 μg/mL） on Vero cells grown in DMEM （Debecco＇s Modified Eagle Medium） in appropriate conditions for trypanocidal activity. In-vitro cytotoxicity test of MPE of Terminalia chebula was conducted on Vero cells grown in DMEM. In-vivo assay for trypanocidal activity, each mouse was inoculated with 1 × 10^4/mL of trypanosomes and treated （48 h post inoculation） with MPE of Terminalia chebula at concentrations （12.5, 25, 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg body weight） were administered at dose rate of 100 BL per mouse via intraperitoneal route to different groups of mice, 6 mice per concentration. In-vitro cytotoxicity test was done on Veto cells at concentrations （1.58～100 μg/mL） of MPE of Terminalia chebula. Results of in-vitro trypanocidal activity varied from immobilization, reduction and to the killing of the trypanosomes. At 250 μg/mL ofMPE ofTerminalia chebula dried fruits, there was significant trypanocidal activity at 4 h of incubation and trypanosomes were not detected in corresponding ELISA plate wells at 5 h of incubation, which was statistically equivalent to reference drug, diminazine aceturate （50 μL/mL） at 4 h of incubation. Results of in-vivo trypanocidal activity revealed that at concentrations （l 2.5～25 mg/kg body weight） of MPE of Terrninalia chebula, mice in these groups survived for 6 days. Emblica officinalis （E. oJficinalis） dried fruits were evaluated for its antitrypanosomal activity and cytotoxic effects. Vero cell line maintained in DMEM （Dubecco＇s Modified Eagle Medium） and incubated with Trypanosoma evansi for more than 12 h. MPE was added to the Vero cell culture medium at different concentrations （250-1,000 μg/mL） with trypanosomes concentration （1 × 106 trypanosomes/mL in each ELISA plate well） and incubated at appropriate conditions for 72 h. In-vitro cytotoxieity of MPE of E. officinalis was determined on Vero cells at concentrations （（1.56-100 ~tg/mL）. Acute toxicity and in-vivo infectivity tests were done in mice. Obtained MPE ofE. officinalis underwent process of purification via column chromatography, preparative chromatography and HPLC （higher performance liquid chromatography） with bioassay at different strata on Alsever＇s medium. In-vivo assay for trypanocidal activity, MPE and PPFs （partially purified fractions） of E. officinalis with two sets of mice, each mouse was inoculated with 1 × 104/mL oftrypanosomes and treated （48 h post inoculation） at concentrations （12.5, 25, 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg body weight） were administered at dose rate of 100 [tL per mouse via intraperitoneal route （in treating parassitemic mice） to different groups of mice, 6 mice per concentration. HPLC of partially purified fractions ofE. officinalis was carried out with mobile phase ofacetonitdle： water （40：60） in gradient mode. In vitro, MPE induced immobilization and killing of the parasites in concentration-time dependent manner. Significant reduction of trypanosomes counts from concentration of 250μg/mL and complete killing of trypanosomes at 5th hour of observation, which was statistically equivalent to 4th hour of Diminazine Aceturate （Berenil）, standard reference drug used. HPLC of the partially purified fractions revealed two major prominent peaks at retention time of 1-4 min. In vivo, both MPE and PPFs of test material did prolong lives of mice by 6-9
