The multistep phosphorelay （MSP） is a central signaling pathway in plants integrating a wide spectrum of hormonal and environmental inputs and controlling numerous developmental adaptations. For the thor- ough comprehension of the molecular mechanisms underlying the MSP-mediated signal recognition and transduction, the detailed structural characterization of individual members of the pathway is critical. In this review we describe and discuss the recently known crystal and nuclear magnetic resonance structures of proteins acting in MSP signaling in higher plants, focusing particularly on cytokinin and ethylene signaling in Arabidopsis thaliana. We discuss the range of functional aspects of available structural infor- mation including determination of ligand specificity, activation of the receptor via its autophosphorylaUon, and downstream signal transduction through the phosphorelay. We compare the plant structures with their bacterial counterparts and show that although the overall similarity is high, the differences in structural de- tails are frequent and functionally important. Finally, we discuss emerging knowledge on molecular recog- nition mechanisms in the MSP, and mention the latest findings regarding structural determinants of signaling specificity in the Arabidopsis MSP that could serve as a general model of this pathway in all higher plants.

In plants, vitamin B6 biosynthesis requires the activity of PDX1 and PDX2 proteins. Arabidopsis thaliana encodes for three PDX1 proteins, named PDXI.1, 1.2, and 1.3, but only one PDX2. Here, we show in planta complex assembly of PDX proteins, based on split-YFP and FPLC assays, and can demonstrate their presence in higher complexes of around 750 kDa. Metabolic profiling of plants ectopically expressing the different PDX proteins indicates a negative influence of PDX1.2 on vitamin Be biosynthesis and a correlation between aberrant vitamin B6 content, PDX1 gene expression, and light sensitivity specifically for PDX1.3. These findings provide first insights into in planta vitamin B6 synthase complex assembly and new information on how the different PDX proteins affect plant metabolism.

A mobile volcano fast response system(VFRS)that can be used for volcano monitoring in case of volcanic unrest anywhere in the world is currently under development in *** main goal of the project called Exupéry is to provide the communication technology for stations in the field and an expert system that collects all data from various sources,assembles them in a database,and allows users to assess the data through one common web GIS *** system also includes an integrated automatic alert level including the alert level estimation in order to characterize the activity state of the *** web GIS interface serves as a decision support system to assist scientists and local authorities in deciding how to react in the case of volcanic unrest.

Recent advances in the treatment of metastatic renal cell carcinoma expose a gap in the treatment of less advanced,localized *** kinase inhibitors,which revolutionized the treatment of metastatic disease,have not provided a similar survival benefit in the adjuvant setting and currently only sunitinib is approved by the Food and Drug Administration for adjuvant treatment in patients with high-risk of recurrence based on S-TRAC disease-free survival *** advent of immune checkpoint inhibitors has offered a fresh hope in the field of adjuvant treatment after encouraging results are seen with combination of immune checkpoint inhibitors as well as with targeted therapy in the metastatic *** studies are investigating these combinations in the adjuvant setting,and it is hoped that they will bring about a better outcome for a largely unmet need in kidney cancer treatment.

In this paper,a system supporting behavioral therapy for autistic children is *** system consists of sensors network,base station and a brooch indicating person's ernotional *** system can be used to measure values of physiological parameters that are associated with changes in the emotional *** the future,it can be useful to inform the autistic child and the therapist about the emotional state of the interlocutor objectively,on the basis of performed *** selected physiological parameters were chosen during the experiment which was designed and conducted by *** this experiment,a group of volunteers under con-trolld conditions was exposed to a stressful situation caused by the picture or *** each of the volunteers,a set of physiological parameters,was recorded,including:skin conductance,heart rate,peripheral temperature,respiration rate and *** bio statistical analysis allowved us to discern the proper plhysiological paraneters that are most associated to changes due to emotional state of a patient,such as:skin conductance,temperatures and res-piration *** allowed us to design electronic sensors network for supporting behavioral therapy for children with autism.

How rotational speed of planetary ball mill and polymer load influence the performance and water vapor sorption in solid dispersions composed of tadalafil and soluplus

The presence of residual water may deteriorate the performance of amorphous solid dispersions prepared by ball milling,affecting molecular mobility,crystallinity,particle size and finally,the drug dissolution *** the stability of these metastable systems depend on both formulation and process variables,the aim of this study was to assess for the first time,the impact that the polymer load and the rotational speed applied upon high energy ball milling could have on the performance of binary co-milled solid dispersions composed of tadalafil(a hydrophobic crystalline drug)and Soluplus(an amphiphilic,hygroscopic amorphous polymer).Each of these variables was tested at three *** electron microscopy,laser diffraction and X-ray powder diffraction were used to analyze morphology,particle size distribution and crystallinity of ball milled formulations *** studies were also carried *** tools of applied physics,namely solid state 1H NMR and relaxometry were used to assess the structure and water mobility upon gaseous phase hydration on *** was shown that both tested variables determined the particle size of the *** the rotational speed of 400 rpm was used,all solid dispersion were XRD-amorphous,but to ensure the immediate release of tadalafil its micellar solubilization in Soluplus was *** the formulation was exposed to water vapor,the hydration level increased with an increasing polymer load as ***,the rotational speed governed the space available for the adsorption of water molecules and their organization in a monolayer or *** behavior may have impact on the kinetics of the amorphous drug recrystallization,and finally deteriorate its dissolution.

In this study, the adsorption of o-xylene was investigated using modified halloysite adsorbents. The abundances of trace elements,a low pH of water and soil in areas impacted by the acid mine drainage(AMD)may cause an excessive uptake of potentially toxic elements and nutritional imbalances in ***-tolerant,native plants are used for revegetation of degraded mining *** established levels of selected trace elements and stable sulfur isotopes in the above-ground plant biomass collected in a mining area in south-central *** 2016,20 samples of the most common species were collected from sites with a different influence of acid mine drainage and analyzed for trace elements by the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry *** the basis of the results obtained in 2016,the most contaminated site was selected for a more detailed study,in which sulfur contents and stable sulfur isotope ratios were determined together with trace elements in 17 *** results confirmed that the plants native to the AMD area efficiently accumulated trace elements,especially As and rare earth *** showed the highest content of trace elements,but exhibited the lowest concentrations of sulfur accompanied by the highestδ34S *** has been shown for the first time that stable sulfur isotope composition of AMD plants in south-central Poland is significantly depleted in the 34S isotope showing an averageδ34 S value of–10.5‰in comparison with positiveδ34S values in local vegetation growing outside the AMD area and in local precipitation.
