Although often used in molecular dynamics,in this work the Manning-Rosen potential is parameterized to compute the scattering phase shifts for the nucleon-nucleon and the alphanucleon systems by exploiting the standard phase function *** obtain excellent agreement in phase shifts with the more sophisticated calculations up to partial waves l=2.

Keeping in view of importance of exchange symmetry aspects in studies on spin squeezing of multiqubit states,we show that the one-dimensional Ising Hamiltonian with nearest neighbor interactions does not retain the exchange symmetry of initially symmetric multiqubit *** we show that among 4-qubit states obeying exchange symmetry,all states except W class(and their linear combination)lose their symmetry under time evolution with Ising *** the loss of symmetry of the initially symmetric states to rotational asymmetry of the one-dimensional Ising Hamiltonian with more than 3 qubits,we indicate that all N-qubit states(N>5)obeying permutation symmetry lose their symmetry after time evolution with Ising Hamiltonian.

近几十年期间,在种群和个体受干扰后,对作为早期指示剂的生物标记物的研究受到越来越多的关注。我们用对水生生态系统污染敏感的生物标记物双壳类软体动物(文蛤)来评估两种有机磷杀虫剂(甲基毒死蜱、草甘膦)的影响。文蛤是水生生态系统污染的一种敏感的指示物种。在不同时间段测定文蛤中不同组织的非酶的(谷胱苷肽)和酶的(过氧化氢酶)抗氧化剂,作为文蛤中生物标记物的反应。在实验室条件下,测定了脂质过氧化作用、蛋白羰基含量、总蛋白含量、总脂质含量以及胆碱酯酶的活性。对不同的生物标记与杀虫剂的生物体内积累的相互关系进行了研究。甲基毒死蜱在文蛤组织中具有最大的诱导氧化胁迫的潜能,导致脂质过氧化反应增加并抑制抗氧化剂。而且,鳃是对该反应最敏感的器官。文蛤是一种极好的甲基毒死蜱的积聚者,因为暴露60天后,可以测定到其组织中浓度为824.0 mg/kg w.w的甲基毒死蜱。随着在草甘膦中暴露时间的增加,与背景水平相比,组织中草甘膦的浓度增加大约8×103mg/kg w.w。可以得出这样的结论:在一种生物中测定几种生物标记物是有用的。在双壳类中,蛋白质的羰基诱导可用于双壳类中化学污染物诱导的氧化胁迫的生物指示剂。抗氧化剂的防御成分是敏感的参数,是评估污染的水生生态系统的有用的生物标记物。辅以蛤组织的化学分析,生物标记参数能够提供一种有力的监测工具。

A recently developed b-spline algorithm is extended and utilized to calculate excited states of He atoms in the presence of strong magnetic *** energies are presented for He in the five excited atomic states 210-+,110-,210-,11(-1)+,and 2 1(1) + with magnetic field strength ranging from 0.0001 to 10 *** obtained energies are compared with available theoretical data,and found to be in good *** investigate influence of magnetic fields on atomic structures of multielectron atoms,and illustrate that how electron probability density distributions change with increasing magnetic field *** current approach is directly applicable to simulations of discrete spectra for He atoms in the atmospheres of magnetized white dwarf stars.

An Aluminide Surface Layer Containing Lower-Al on Ferritic-Martensitic Steel Formed by Lower-Temperature Aluminization

An aluminide（AlFe and α-（FeAl）） surface layer containing lower-Al was formed on ferritic-martensitic steel P92 by means of surface mechanical attrition treatment（SMAT） combined with a duplex aluminization process at lower temperatures,i.e.a packed aluminization followed by a diffusion annealing treatment below its tempering *** tests indicated that the lower-Al surface layer formed on the SMAT sample is more resistant to cracking and has better adhesion to the substrate in comparison with the Al 5Fe 2 layer formed on the as-received sample after the duplex aluminization *** steam oxidation measurements showed that the oxidation resistance is increased significantly by the lower-Al surface layer due to the formation of a protective（Fe,Cr）Al 2O 4 *** rate constant of oxidation was estimated to decrease from-0.849 mg^2 cm^-4h^-1 of the as-received material to^0.011 mg^2 cm^-4 h^-1 of the AlFe layer at 700 ℃.

Use of ferricyanide for gold and silver cyanidation

Low gold and silver leaching kinetics has been commonly observed in traditional gold-silver cyanidation process, especially in heap leaching and in situ leaching operations. The different mineralogy of gold and silver in the ores is suspected to be the main reason, e.g., the occurrence of low solubility acanthite (Ag2S) typically results in low overall silver extraction. Due to the low solubility of oxygen in cyanide solution, the reactivity and availability of oxidant is believed to be the critical limitation for gold and silver dissolution. The use of ferricyanide as the auxiliary oxidant for gold and silver cyanidation has been examined. The rotating disc test results prove the assistant effect of ferricyanide on increasing the dissolution rate of gold and silver. The potential use of ferricyanide in gold/silver cyanidation process is proposed based on the leaching results of actual ores.

The study explores the yearnings of fisherfolks on their child’s education, hindrances, and factors that shape their desire as parents. Field observations and key informant interview among elder members of fisherfolk communities surrounding the Albay, Ragay, and Asid Gulfs of the bicol Region was utilized. The study revealed that the majority of the fisherfolk parents do not want their children to continue fishing as their main source of livelihood because of potential risks, hardships, and cultural factors like collectivism, close family ties, and dependence on the elders. The parents’ aspirations were shaped by their persistence over various threats, fears, personal unfulfilled dreams, and career opportunities thru education. Most of the parents desired a college education and a safe and secure profession for their children. The study deduced that these challenges can be a contributory factor for the declining number of fisherfolks surrounding the gulfs. Influencing this sector is the factor motivating fishers in their aspirations for their children’s education. The study recommends introducing strategies for fisherfolks to develop a strong sense of hope and drive in realizing their aspirations and further research on the impact of culture, the role of women and children, and fisherfolks and their success stories.

Let D be a digraph. A subset S of V (D) is a stable set if every pair of vertices in S is non-adjacent in D. A collection of disjoint paths is a path partition of D, if every vertex in V (D) is in exactly one path of . We say that a stable set S and a path partition are orthogonal if each path of contains exactly one vertex of S. A digraph D satisfies the α-property if for every maximum stable set S of D, there exists a path partition such that S and are orthogonal. A digraph D is α-diperfect if every induced subdigraph of D satisfies the α-property. In 1982, berge proposed a characterization for α-diperfect digraphs in terms of forbidden anti-directed odd cycles. In 2018, Sambinelli, Silva and Lee proposed a similar conjecture. A digraph D satisfies the begin-End-property or bE-property if for every maximum stable set S of D, there exists a path partition such that 1) S and are orthogonal and 2) for each path P ∈ , either the start or the end of P belongs to S. A digraph D is bE-diperfect if every induced subdigraph of D satisfies the bE-property. Sambinelli, Silva and Lee proposed a characterization for bE-diperfect digraphs in terms of forbidden blocking odd cycles. In this paper, we verified both conjectures for 3-anti-circulant digraphs. We also present some structural results for α-diperfect and bE-diperfect digraphs.

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a major pathogen causing infections resulting in severe morbidity and mortality worldwide. To date, the true nature and extent of MRSA infections in the Caribbean are not well understood. This is a review of the limited studies in the Caribbean describing the prevalence, epidemiology, and molecular characteristics of MRSA in hospitalized and non-hospitalized patients. Relevant articles were searched and extracted from PubMed and Mendeley and a narrative review of the findings was constructed. An aggregate of 24 articles, from 1999 to 2020, was found from 10 of 27 countries. Majority of the studies were from Trinidad and Tobago (29%) and Jamaica (21%) while 50% were from barbados, Dominican Republic, Martinique, Haiti, Cuba, St. Kits & Nevis, Guadeloupe, and Guyana. Approximately 75% of investigations were conducted on hospitalized patients versus 20% on outpatients. The data revealed geographical differences in the prevalence of MRSA within the Caribbean;20% - 100% of Staphylococcus aureus clinical isolates from hospitalized patients and outpatients were resistant to methicillin, macrolides, and fluoroquinolones, but susceptible to several non-beta lactam antibiotics, due to the widespread occurrence of CA-MRSA clone ST8 SCCmec IV, PVL positive. There was moderate prevalence of ST72 SCCmec V (14% - 25%) in both hospital and community settings in a few of the countries while ST30 SCCmec IV, PVL positive, was moderately prevalent (27%) only in Dominican Republic. Also, there was moderate prevalence of HA-MRSA ST5 SCCmec II (18%) in community settings in the Dominican Republic and Martinique, but high prevalence of HA-MRSA ST239 SCCmec III (60%) in hospitalized patients in Cuba and Trinidad & Tobago.
