Forming ultrashallow junction reduces the source / drain channel length, which improves the CMOS (Complementary metal oxide semiconductor) device performance and the speed of the integrated circuits. Antimony (Sb) of low implant energy 2 keV at implant dose 1 × 1015 cm-2 is implanted in conventional silicon wafer (100). Rapid RTA (Thermal annealing technique) is suitable for the as- implanted samples to recover the radiation damaged region and to activate the implanted antimony. This paper investigates the electrical activation of the implanted antimony by estimating its substitutional fraction in the formed ultra junction in silicon wafer by the possibilities of combining the measurements of RBS (Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy) and MEIS (Medium energy ion scattering). It was found that RTA (Rapid thermal annealing) of the as-implanted samples at temperatures ≤ 800 °C, the substitutional antimony fraction and the retained dose also are about 90% of the nominal dose. However, annealing at temperatures > 800 °C up to 1,100 °C antimony precipitate near to the surface and deactivate the electrical conduction by about 50% with increasing the sheet resistance by about 30%.

Somatic development and rate of complications were studied prospectively in 25 patients receiving long-term parenteral nutrition in 14 German hospitals. For 12 months (3-20) the following data were collected at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of the study: diagnosis, age at beginning of parenteral nutrition, complications, height, weight, growth velocity and body mass index (BMI), as well as transaminases and bilirubin levels. Catheter-associ-ated complications were observed once per year and patient (mechanical 0.46, septic 0.39, and thrombotic 0.15). At the beginning (and at the end)-of the study period 10 patients (12) had normal liver function (group N), 8 patients (6) showed hepatopathy (group H), and 6 (3) patients exhibited hepatopathy with hyperbilirubinemia (group HB). Four patients were weaned from parenteral nutrition. The median (25th/75th percentile) of SDS for height and BMI at beginning in group HB were -5.3 (-8.5/-4.3) and -2.9 (-3.6/0.1), in group H -2.4 (-4.5/-0.7) and 0.1 (2.3/0.5), and in group N -2.15 (-3.2/-2.0) and -0.9 (-1.8/0.4). The SDS for height velocity were -0.7 (-4.0/0.4), -2.35 (-3.6/-1.0), and -1.1 (-2.9/2.8) in groups HB, H, and N, respectively. Only in group HB with a high percentage of parenterally provided calories did SDS for height (-3.6; -4.5/-2.2) and BMI (0.5; -1.5/1.6) improve significantly (p 0.05). Rates of complications are comparable to published results. The somatic development of our patients is unsatisfying, likely due to inadequate nutrition. Parenteral nutrition only provides certain amounts of the total requirements and it might be possible that oral intake of nutrients or their intestinal absorption is lower than assumed.

The Mediterranean Sea is home to an interesting biodiversity. The current cumulative and descriptive study aims to enumerate some relatively large marine mammals, reptiles, and fishes that have been spotted, caught, by-caught, or stranded on the coast of the Gaza Strip, Palestine, which extends about 42 km along the Mediterranean Sea. This 20-year study from 2003 to 2022 relied much on frequent field visits, meetings, and discussions with stakeholders, following local media sites and social media pages, and photography. The study recorded at least 26 giants or relatively large marine organisms on the Mediterranean coast of the Gaza Strip, Palestine. Certainly, the coming years may bring other marine organisms of relatively large sizes. Marine mammals included three species of cetaceans with the Fin Whale (Balaenoptera physalus) being the largest mammal and even the largest animal ever recorded in this study. Marine reptiles included three species of sea turtles, the largest of which is the Leatherback Sea Turtle (Dermochelys coriacea), which is in fact the world’s largest sea turtle. The bony fishes were represented by ten species, the largest of which was the Ocean Sunfish (Mola mola), which is the largest bony fish in the world. The cartilaginous fishes included ten species with the largest specimens encountered were the Shortfin Shark (Isurus oxyrinchus), Bluntnose Sixgill Shark (Hexanchus griseus), Scalloped Hammerhead Shark (Sphyrna lewini), and Giant Devil Ray (Mobula mobular). Seabirds were not included in the study. The Alexandria Pompano (Alectis alexandrinus) and the Silver-Cheeked Toadfish (Lagocephalus sceleratus), which are bony fishes, appear to be the relatively smallest marine organisms recorded here. In conclusion, the role of the various parties must be coordinated to ensure the sustainability of human activities and their compatibility with the task of conserving local marine biota, including the gigantic or relatively large ones.

Background During the COVID-19 pandemic,decreased volumes of stroke admissions and mechanical thrombectomy were *** study’s objective was to examine whether subarachnoid haemorrhage(SAH)hospitalisations and ruptured aneurysm coiling interventions demonstrated similar *** We conducted a cross-sectional,retrospective,observational study across 6 continents,37 countries and 140 comprehensive stroke *** with the diagnosis of SAH,aneurysmal SAH,ruptured aneurysm coiling interventions and COVID-19 were identified by prospective aneurysm databases or by International Classification of Diseases,10th Revision,*** 3-month cumulative volume,monthly volumes for SAH hospitalisations and ruptured aneurysm coiling procedures were compared for the period before(1 year and immediately before)and during the pandemic,defined as 1 March-31 May *** prior 1-year control period(1 March-31 May 2019)was obtained to account for seasonal *** There was a significant decline in SAH hospitalisations,with 2044 admissions in the 3 months immediately before and 1585 admissions during the pandemic,representing a relative decline of 22.5%(95%CI−24.3%to−20.7%,p<0.0001).Embolisation of ruptured aneurysms declined with 1170-1035 procedures,respectively,representing an 11.5%(95%CI−13.5%to−9.8%,p=0.002)relative *** analysis was noted for aneurysmal SAH hospitalisation decline from 834 to 626 hospitalisations,a 24.9%relative decline(95%CI−28.0%to−22.1%,p<0.0001).A relative increase in ruptured aneurysm coiling was noted in low coiling volume hospitals of 41.1%(95%CI 32.3%to 50.6%,p=0.008)despite a decrease in SAH admissions in this *** There was a relative decrease in the volume of SAH hospitalisations,aneurysmal SAH hospitalisations and ruptured aneurysm embolisations during the COVID-19 *** findings in SAH are consistent with a decrease in other emergencies,such as stroke and myocardial infarction.
