Improvement of sexual behavior, sperm quantity and quality by Quercetin in streptozotocin-induced diabetic erectile dysfunction

Objective:To evaluate the effect of Quercetin (QT) on erectile dysfunction and oxidative stress in penile tissue of streptozotocin-induced diabetic ***: Two weeks after diabetes induction, QT was treated to normal and diabetic rats for 5 wk. sexual behavioral parameters including mount latency, intromission latency, ejaculation latency, post-ejaculatory interval, mount frequency and intromission frequency, were observed against stimulus females. sperm count and their motility and viability were recorded. serum glucose and testosterone levels were estimated. In penile tissue levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances and glutathione, and enzymatic activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase were measured. Histopathological changes were evaluated in a cross-section of penile ***:sexual behavioral ejaculation latency, post-ejaculatory interval, mount latency and intromission latency were significantly increased while mount frequency and intromission frequency were decreased in diabetic rats. Treatment with QT corrected the male sexual behavioral levels and also enhanced the inhibited sperm count, motility and viability in diabetic rats. serum testosterone and penile cyclic guanosine monophosphate levels were significantly increased in QT treated diabetic rats compared to untreated diabetic animals. Penile oxidative stress biomarkers were corrected by the QT treatments in diabetic rats. Histopathological evaluation revealed damaged penile tissues in diabetic rats, which was protected following QT ***: QT eliminated the diabetic-induced sexual impairment and showed significant antioxidant effects in penile tissue. Further experimental studies are recommended for QT therapeutically usage.

Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia is a common phenomenon shortly after birth and a frequent cause of prolonged hospitalization[1].Increased enterohepatic circulation of indirect bilirubin is one of the elucidated mechanisms implicated in the pathophysiology of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia[2,3].According to various in vitro and in vivo evidence from animal[3]and human[2]trials,zinc salts have been depicted to reduce bilirubin levels.

Agmatine ameliorates diabetes type 2-induced nephropathy in rats

Objective:To assess the nephroprotective potential of agmatine in a rat model of streptozotocin-induced diabetic ***:A single dose of streptozotocin(40 mg/kg)coupled with a fructose diet induced diabetes in Wistar ***(40 and 80 mg/kg)was administered to rats for 12 *** body weight and fasting blood glucose were measured *** level,urine output,total protein,albumin,blood urea nitrogen,creatinine,and cystatin-C were also determined at the end of the ***,superoxide dismutase,glutathione,interleukin-1β,interleukin-6,and tumor necrosis factor-alpha were evaluated in kidney *** study was also performed using hematoxylin and eosin ***:Agmatine at both doses significantly increased final body weight,and lowered fasting blood glucose,urine output,insulin,total protein,albumin,blood urea nitrogen,creatinine,and cystatin-C levels compared with the diabetic group(Ps and antioxidant effect were significantly improved in agmatine-treated ***,the histopathological changes in renal structure were ameliorated by agmatine ***:Agmatine alleviates diabetic nephropathy by improving renal functions and reducing inflammation and oxidative *** molecular mechanisms of its nephroprotective actions need to be investigated in future study.

An Enhanced Automatic Arabic Essay scoring system Based on Machine Learning Algorithms

Despite the extensive effort to improve intelligent educational tools for smart learning environments,automatic Arabic essay scoring remains a big research *** nature of the writing style of the Arabic language makes the problem even more *** study designs,implements,and evaluates an automatic Arabic essay scoring *** proposed system starts with pre-processing the student answer and model answer dataset using data cleaning and natural language processing ***,it comprises two main components:the grading engine and the adaptive fusion *** grading engine employs string-based and corpus-based similarity algorithms *** that,the adaptive fusion engine aims to prepare students’scores to be delivered to different feature selection algorithms,such as Recursive Feature Elimination and ***,some machine learning algorithms such as Decision Tree,Random Forest,Adaboost,Lasso,Bagging,and K-Nearest Neighbor are employed to improve the suggested system’s *** experimental results in the grading engine showed that Extracting DIstributionally similar words using the CO-occurrences similarity measure achieved the best correlation ***,in the adaptive fusion engine,the Random Forest algorithm outperforms all other machine learning algorithms using the(80%–20%)splitting method on the original *** achieves 91.30%,94.20%,0.023,0.106,and 0.153 in terms of Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient,Willmot’s Index of Agreement,Mean square Error,Mean Absolute Error,and Root Mean square Error metrics,respectively.

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer has a relatively high prevalence and is one of the most common causes of cancer-related death ***,the prognosis for gastric cancer remains poor,especially in the advanced stages,despite many improvements in diagnosis and *** To evaluate the outcomes regarding advanced gastric cancer development according to sex and *** We retrospectively reviewed 2005 patients who underwent curative gastrectomy for advanced gastric cancer between 2002 and 2007 at a single Korean *** and risk factors for nodal involvement were evaluated according to sex and *** In this retrospective cohort study,we examined the cases of 2005 patients[sex,1384 men(69%),621 women(31%)]with advanced gastric *** patients’age range was 22-87 years(mean age:57.7±12.3 years),with approximately 53.3%of the patients being≤60 years *** on a Cox proportional hazards model,overall survival was independently predicted by older age,larger tumour size,lymphovascular invasion,lymph node metastasis,deeper tumour invasion,moderately-to-poorly differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma,and signet ring cell *** same model revealed that relapse-free survival was independently predicted by advanced age,larger tumour size,lymphovascular invasion,deeper tumour invasion,poorly differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma,and signet ring cell *** Among patients with advanced gastric cancer,older age independently predicted poor overall survival and relapse-free ***,there were no significant sex-based differences in relapse-free and overall survival.

Barriers that practitioners face when initiating insulin therapy in general practice settings and how they can be overcome

AIM To explore primary care physicians' perspectives on possible barriers to the use of *** This systematic review was conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items for systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. Eight electronic databases were searched(between January 1, 1994 and August 31, 2014) for relevant studies. A search for grey literature and a review of the references in the retrieved studies were also conducted. studies that focused on healthcare providers' perspectives on possible barriers to insulin initiation with type 2 diabetic patients were included, as well as articles suggesting solutions for these barriers. Review articles and studies that only considered patients' perspectives were excluded. REsULTs A total of 19 studies met the inclusion criteria and were therefore included in this study: 10 of these studies used qualitative methods, 8 used quantitative methods and 1 used mixed methods. studies included a range of different health care settings. The findings are reported under four broad categories: The perceptions of primary care physicians about the barriers to initiate insulin therapy for type 2 diabetes patients, how primary care physicians assess patients prior to initiating insulin, professional roles and possible solutions to overcome these barriers. The barriers described were many and covered doctor, patient, system and technological aspects. Interventions that focused on doctor training and support, or IT-based decision support were few, and did not result in significant improvement. CONCLUsION Primary care physicians' known delay in insulin initiation is multifactorial. Published reports of attempts to find solutions for these barriers were limited in number.

The detection of heart disease is a problematic task in medical *** diagnosis utilizes a thorough analysis of the clinical tests from the patient’s medical *** massive advances in deep learning models pursue the devel-opment of intelligent computerized systems that aid medical professionals to detect the disease type with the internet of things ***,in this paper,we propose a deep learning model for elderly patients to aid and enhance the diag-nosis of heart *** proposed model utilizes a deeper neural architecture with multiple perceptron layers with regularization learning *** mod-el performance is veriﬁed with a full and minimum set of *** features enhance the processing time of the classiﬁcation process while the accuracy is *** performance of classiﬁers with less features has been analyzed with experimental *** proposed system is built on the Internet of Things Platform for medical data for the classiﬁcation process which aids medical profes-sionals to detect heart diseases through cloud *** results accuracy is matched to classical learning models such as Convolutional Neural Network(CNN),Deep CNN,and neural ensemble *** analysis of the proposed diagnostic system can determine the heart disease risks efﬁ*** results demonstrate thatﬂexible modeling and tuning of the hyperparameters can attain an accuracy of up to 97.11%.

Impact of COVID-19 on G20 countries:analysis of economic recession using data mining approaches

The G20 countries are the locomotives of economic growth,representing 64%of the global population and including 4.7 billion *** a monetary and market value index,real gross domestic product(GDP)is affected by several factors and reflects the economic development of *** study aimed to reveal the hidden economic patterns of G20 countries,study the complexity of related economic factors,and analyze the economic reactions taken by policymakers during the coronavirus disease of 2019(COVID-19)pandemic recession(2019–2020).In this respect,this study employed data-mining techniques of nonparametric classification tree and hierarchical clustering approaches to consider factors such as GDP/capita,industrial production,government spending,COVID-19 cases/population,patient recovery,COVID-19 death cases,number of hospital beds/1000 people,and percentage of the vaccinated population to identify clusters for G20 *** clustering approach can help policymakers measure economic indices in terms of the factors considered to identify the specific focus of influences on economic *** results exhibited significant findings for the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on G20 countries,splitting them into three clusters by sharing different measurements and patterns(harmonies and variances across G20 countries).A comprehensive statistical analysis was performed to analyze endogenous and exogenous ***,the classification and regression tree method was applied to predict the associations between the response and independent factors to split the G-20 countries into different groups and analyze the economic *** such as GDP per capita and patient recovery of COVID-19 cases with values of$12,012 and 82.8%,respectively,were the most significant factors for clustering the G20 countries,with a correlation coefficient(R2)of 91.8%.The results and findings offer some crucial recommendations to handle pandemics in terms of the
