Ba.kground a.d Objectives: Osteoporosis ca.ses fra.ility fra.tures which increa.e the morbidity a.d morta.ity in the elderly. Our objective wa. to look a. the hospita. a.missions due to fra.ility fra.tures a.d site of fra.tures. Methods: This is a.retrospective study of a.2-yea. period (2017-2018), in which we eva.ua.ed a.l the a.missions of fra.ility fra.tures a. King Fa.d Hospita. of the University, a. Khoba., Sa.di a.a.ia. a.Fra.ility Fra.ture is a.fra.ture which occurs in pa.ients with low bone ma.s due to a.fa.l from a.sta.ding height. The da.a.were ga.hered from the Qua.ru Med pa.ient ca.e system for pa.ients over the a.e of 50 yea.s: sex, site of fra.ture, previous fra.tures, a.d trea.ment meted out. The hospita.iza.ion ra.e for fra.ility fra.tures wa. ca.cula.ed by ta.ing into considera.ion of a.l the a.ult a.missions to the orthopa.dic depa.tment. Ethica. a.prova. wa. obta.ned from the Institutiona. Review Boa.d of the Hospita. a.d the Ima. abdul Ra.ma. Bin Fa.sa. University, Da.ma.. Results: During the study period 187 pa.ients with fra.ility fra.tures were a.mitted. The mea. a.e wa. 68.55 ± 12.43 yea.s;fra.ture femur wa. the most common with 136 (72.7%), tibia.15 (8%) a.d spine 14 (7.5%). a. the time of discha.ge ba.ed on the T score of spine 50 were osteopenic a.d 45 were osteoporotic. Overa.l a.ult a.mission for the study period wa. 1410 pa.ients a.d 13.26% were pa.ients with fra.ility fra.tures. There were 3 (1.6%) dea.hs within the first 30 da.s in the hospita.. Conclusions: Fra.ture femur wa. the most common fra.ility fra.ture seen in our study. Orthopa.dic surgeons should be rea.y to trea. a.l fra.ility fra.tures a.d trea. osteoporosis a.propria.ely so tha. a.second fra.ture is prevented.

The effects of Nd2O3 na.opa.ticles a.dition on microstructure, tra.sport a.d a. susceptibility properties of YBa.Cu3O7–δ（Y123） superconductors were systema.ica.ly investiga.ed using X-ra. diffra.tion （XRD）, sca.ning electron microgra.h （SEM）, four point probe mea.urement a.d a. spectrometer. It wa. found tha. the a.ded sa.ples were predomina.t by Y-123 pha.e beside sma.l a.ount of Y-211 a.d unrea.ted Nd2O3seconda.y pha.es. a.l a.ded sa.ples preserved the orthorhombic structure simila. to the pure sa.ple a.d no orthorhombic-to-tetra.ona. tra.sition occurred. The sa.ples beca.e more porous a.d their gra.n size significa.tly de-crea.ed with a.dition of Nd2O3. The a.dition of na.o-Nd2O3 disturbed the gra.n growth of Y123, thus resulting in the degra.a.ion of superconducting properties of the sa.ples. The superconducting tra.sition tempera.ure （Tc onset） of sa.ples decrea.ed from 92 K for x=0.0 to 78 K forx=1.0 wt.%, which could be a.tributa.le to oxygen va.a.cy disorder. From a. susceptibility result, the inter- a.d intra.gra.ula. loss pea.s beca.e wider a.d broa.er with increa.e of Nd2O3 a.dition due to the wea.ening of gra.ns coupling. On the other ha.d, the inter-gra.ula. critica. current density,Jcm, wa. found to increa.e with Nd2O3 a.dition a.d ha. the highest va.ue a. x=0.6, confirming tha. Nd2O3 na.opa.ticles a.ted a. pinning centers in Y123 ma.rix.

Desicca.ion versus Re-Flooding: Hea.y Meta.s Mobiliza.ion—Pa.t 1

From the restora.ion point of view, hea.y meta.s distribution a.d sea.ona. va.ia.ion were studied in the re-flooded ma.shes of the Mesopota.ia. southern Ira.. a. pa.t of the ecologica. recovery a.sessment of these newly inunda.ed ma.shes, it is importa.t to investiga.e the extend impa.t of 13 yea.s of desicca.ion a.ter five yea.s of inunda.ion on the hea.y meta.s mobiliza.ion from the ma.shla.d downstrea. into the Sha.t a.-a.a. River a.d exa.ine whether these ma.shla.ds reta.n their role of a.ting a. sink of meta.s. The result shows significa.t differences between the re-flooded ma.shes versus the reference ma.sh, which indica.es tha. desicca.ion ca.ed cha.ges in environmenta. va.ia.les a.d divided the one homogeneous system of the Mesopota.ia.into sepa.a.ed systems. In a.dition, the specia. distribution of hea.y meta.s show tha. a.-Ha.izeh a.d a.-Ha.ma. ma.shla.ds were efficient for meta.s reduction, especia.ly for Ni, while the Centra. ma.shla.d ha. the ma.or contribution a. source to meta.s. a. a.conclusion, the recovery potentia. of three ma.shla.ds is strongly controlled by the hydrologica. sta.us of the ma.shla.d a.d the degree of the desicca.ion impa.t. Experiments were ca.ried out to observe the va.ia.ion in microstructure a.d mecha.ica. properties of gra. ca.t iron by a.ding pea.lite promoting a.loying elements such a. Ti,Sn a.d *** show tha. a.ding Sn,Ti,a.d W with different concentra.ions improve the microstructure,Brinell ha.dness a.d tensile strength of gra. ca.t *** the increa.e of a.loying element concentra.ion,the a.era.e gra.hite length a.d gra.hite content increa.e *** the sa.e time,a.era.e cell size a.d the ma.imum gra.hite length a.so decrea.e *** ha.dness a.d tensile strength of gra. ca.t iron a.so increa.e with a. increa.e in a.loying elements contents,a.d a.ta.n the ma.imum when Ti=0.561%,Sn=0.561%a.d W=0.945%.However,a. higher concentra.ions of Ti=0.810%,Sn=0.631%a.d W=1.351%,the tensile strength decrea.es from 333 MPa.to 297 MPa.a.d the Brinell ha.dness decrea.es from 248 HB to 225 *** decrea.e in tensile strength a.d Brinell ha.dness a. the higher concentra.ion level is a.tributed to the forma.ion of coa.se a.d thick gra.hite fla.es.

The cha.ging na.ure of clima.ic fa.tors ha. different impa.ts on a.riculture ba.ed a.ea., periods a.d crops. Fa.mers a.e the most vulnera.le group who a.e a.fected both directly a.d indirectly through clima.ic cha.ges. In the study a.ea.in Ma.a.sia. clima.ic cha.ges ha.e a.verse impa.ts on fa.mers. Due to clima.ic cha.ge, productivity a.d profita.ility of pa.dy cultiva.ion ha.e declined in the Integra.ed a.ricultura. Development a.ea. North-West Sela.gor. Fa.mers perceive tha. pa.dy cultiva.ion is no longer profita.le due to low productivity a. a.result of clima.ic cha.ges. They now prefer full-time to pa.t-time enga.ement in pa.dy cultiva.ion. Hea.y government subsidy a.d encoura.ement a.e not enough;it requires increa.e in productivity a.d profita.ility of pa.dy cultiva.ion for ma.ing it a.via.le a.d susta.na.le sector. a.l efforts of mitiga.ion a.d a.a.ta.ion must be pursued to counter the a.verse impa.ts of clima.ic cha.ges a.d increa.e the productivity of pa.dy cultiva.ion in the a.ea. It is observed tha. there is a.high degree of income inequa.ity a.ong the pa.dy fa.mers in the study a.ea.
