By comparing the relationship of room temperature yield strength with the reduction of cold rolled mP159 alloy before and after aging at 650 degrees C, and by means of TEm examination on the corresponding microstructures, the occurrence of fcc(alpha)-->hcp(epsilon) martensitic transition in mP159 alloy during cold deformation and the variation of the platelet epsilon phase during aging have been studied. The results show that the platelet a phase is really formed when the cold deformation reaches a critical value, and both the amount and the width of the platelet epsilon phase would further increase during 650 degrees C aging. The increases of the amount and the width of the platelet epsilon phase result in an additional increase of yield strength. Therefore, it is concluded that the additional hardening effect of mP159 alloy after aging is not only from the precipitation of Ni(3)X disperse phase but also from the volume fraction increase of the platelet epsilon phase. Further occurrence of the martensitic transition during aging may be due to the elimination of residual compression stress within matrix induced by the fcc(alpha)-->hcp(epsilon) transition during cold deformation.

Alternating-current losses in a two-layer superconducting cable, each layer being composed of 15 closely-spaced rectangular wires made up of second-generation superconductors when the ends of wires are coated by either a non-magnetic or strong ferromagnetic material having a U profile is numerically investigated. Computations are carried out through the finite-element method. The alternating-current losses do not increase significantly if the relative permeability of the coating is increased three orders of magnitude, provided that the current amplitude is less than half of the critical current in a superconducting wire. However, the losses are much higher for ferromagnetic coating if the amplitude of the applied current oscillating at 50 Hz is close to the critical current. The ferromagnetic coating is seen to accumulate the magnetic field lines normally on its surfaces, while the field lines are parallel to the long axes of the wires, leading to more significant flux penetration in the coated regions. This facilitates a uniform low-loss current flow in the uncoated regions of the wires. In contrast, coating with a non-magnetic material gives rise to a considerably smaller current flow in the uncoated regions, whereas the low-loss flow is maintained in the coated regions. moreover, the current flows in opposite directions in the coated and uncoated regions, where the direction in each region is converse for the two materials.

A theoretical study of the dynamical behaviors of the interaction between a two-level atom with a morse potential in the framework of the Jaynes Cummings model （JCm） is discussed. We show that this system is equivalent to an intensity-dependent coupling between the two-level atom and the non-deformed single-mode radiation field in the presence of an additional nonlinear interaction. We study the dynamical properties of the system such as, atomic population inversion, the probability distribution of cavity-field, the mandel parameter and atomic dipole squeezing. It is shown how the depth of the morse potential can be affected by non-classical properties of the system. moreover, the temporal evolution of the Husimi-distribution function is explored.

Less than 1%of the total population of the developing world is positively affected by biotechnological *** global impact of biotechnology on agriculture is impeded by the disproportionate development and growth of economically important crops in the developed *** over 2 decades,526 genetically engineered events,or bioengineered(BE)traits,in 32 crops have been approved in 44 countries(ISAAA database,2020).Of these 44 countries,38 are high income,representing 73%of the developed *** six represent low-income countries,including four in Africa(ISAAA database,2020).Although many countries import BE crops for feed,food,and processing,just over half of the 44 countries cultivate(ISAAA,2017).Twenty years since their development,the acreage used for BE crops has increased from 1.7 million to 191.7 million *** increase in growth is dominated by economically important crops such as cotton,maize,and soybean,which also account for 65%of new traits(Brookes and Barfoot,2018).

ZnO films grown on sapphire substrates are implanted with lO0-keV Li ions up to a total dose of 1 × 10^16 cm^-2. Vacancy-type defects, mostly vacancy dusters, are observed by positron annihilation measurements after implantation. Upon annealing, they first have an agglomeration process which leads to the growth in the vacancy size. After anneling at about 500℃, vacancy clusters grow into microvoids, which is indicated by the positronium formation. With annealing temperature increases to above 500℃, the microvoids begin to recover, and finmly m1 the implantation-induced vacancy defects are removed at 1000℃. No Li nanoclusters can be observed after Li^＋ implantation.

Platinum adsorption on activated carbon,a common adsorbent,from dilute platinum-containing solution of 57.6 mg/L was *** effects of different adsorption parameters on the platinum adsorption were reported in *** percentage of platinum adsorption increased with increasing the amount of adsorbent,as well as with increasing contact time and temperature.A platinum adsorption of 75% was obtained using 400 mg of activated carbon at a shaking rate of 200 r/min for 3 h at 25 ℃.A platinum adsorption of 88%,however,was obtained at 80 ℃ using 200 mg of activated carbon within only 1 h,which indicates that temperature plays a vital role in the adsorption process.A platinum adsorption of 99% or above was attained using 400 mg of activated carbon after contact for 3 h at 80 ℃.

Single crystals of red Tl2S5 were prepared by a special modified vertical Bridgman and Stockbarger technique. This growth was performed in our laboratory. The influences of temperature on the electrical conductivity, Hall mobility, carrier concentration, and thermoelectric power (TEP) were carried out in the temperature range 277-413K. Throughout these measurements, various physical parameters such as effective mass of charge carriers, carrier mobility, diffusion coefficient, and the relaxation time for both majority and minority carriers were found.
