Surface charge accumulation is considered to be a critical factor in flashover failure of three-post ***,surface charge accumulation characteristics on threepost insulators with complex structures and uneven electric fields are still ***,the temperature gradient field makes charge accumulation more *** this presentation,surface charge profiles of DC three-post insulators under electro-thermal coupling stress are studied by establishing a multi-degree-of-freedom movement measurement *** abdominal area of the three-post insulator accumulaftes charges of identical polarity as the DC voltage,while the leg area accumulates heteropolar *** density from the bottom of the leg to the center of the abdomen presents a trimodal distribution pattern,including two homopolar charge peaks and one heteropolar charge *** surface conductance distribution arising from the temperature gradient leads to a significant increase in amplitude and distribution range of the homopolar charge peak at the legs of *** of the temperature gradient will further magnify the homopolar charge peak at the *** DC voltage is 100 kV and conductive pole temperature is 70℃,surface charge density of the three-post insulator can reach 100μC/m^(2).Therefore,surface conductance regulation of the leg region is the key to charge regulation and insulation optimization design of DC three-post insulators.

It is Time for a Change： oPetri Dishes Weaken Cells

We wish to draw the attention to a potential deficiency in the biocompatibility of polystyrene cell culture dishes which is caused by a softening of the material under relevant culture conditions. The finding confirms the central hypothesis of our previous model study. In it we assumed a local increase in pH at the interface between the hydrophilic polymer and liquid. The finding is of considerable biological interest. Polystyrene tissue culture dishes are now in use for 50 years. To the best of our knowledge their biocompatibility has never been challenged. Here we report the first experimental proof that exposure to water softens the surface of polystyrene Petri dishes. We expect that our results will stimulate the development of a new generation of cell culture devices, including Petri dishes and culture flasks, and the establishment of improved biomimetic settings for tissue engineering and stem cell research. New non-swelling biomaterials or nanocoatings designed to reduce the swelling of polymer ct, lture dishes could improve cell performance. The need for further study is clear.

Antihyperglycemic and hepatoprotective properties of miracle fruit(Synsepalum dulcificum) compared to aspartame in alloxan-induced diabetic mice

Objective: This study was undertaken to investigate the antihyperglycemic potential of miracle fruit(MF)as well as its hepatic safety as compared to aspartame in alloxan-induced diabetic ***: MF extracts were prepared and screened for their phytochemical composition using highperformance liquid chromatography(HPLC). Total phenolic, flavonoid and tannin contents and antioxidant potential were also determined. Additionally, MF was evaluated for its sensory attributes. For in vivo work, MF ethanol extract at high(MFH: 500 mg/kg body weight [BW]) and low(MFL: 250 mg/kg BW) doses as well as aspartame were injected intraperitoneally into alloxan-induced diabetic *** glucose levels were determined following acute and subchronic treatment. At the end of the study,animals were sacrificed, serum was collected for biochemical analysis and liver tissues were obtained for histopathological ***: MF ethanol extract contained more flavonoids and tannins, and had higher 1,1-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical-scavenging activity(79.61%) compared to MF aqueous extract(P < 0.05). HPLC analysis of MF ethanol extract also revealed the presence of 10 antioxidants with quercetin comprising the major polyphenol. Additionally, sensory analysis of MF showed that its intake is effective in masking undesirable sourness. Subchronic administration of MFH proved amelioration of hyperglycemia in mice as compared to aspartame. Moreover, aspartame treatment significantly elevated(P < 0.05) the level of alanine aminotransferase and had destructive effects on the liver histopathology;however, hepatic architecture was restored by low and high doses of ***: MF is an effective antihyperglycemic with hepatoprotective properties that can be used as a healthier alternative sweetening agent in place of aspartame for sour beverages.

Effect of partition coefficient on microsegregation during solidification of aluminium alloys

In the modeling of microsegregation, the partition coefficient is usually calculated using data from the equilibrium phase diagrams. The aim of this study was to experimentally and theoretically analyze the partition coefficient in binary aluminum--copper alloys. The sam- ples were analyzed by differential thermal analysis （DTA）, which were melted and quenched from different temperatures during solidifica- tion. The mass fraction and composition of phases were measured by image processing and scanning electron microscopy （SEM） equipped with an energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDS） unit. These data were used to calculate as the experimental partition coefficients with four different methods. The experimental and equilibrium partition coefficients were used to model the concentration profile in the primary phase. The modeling results show that the profiles calculated by the experimental partition coefficients are more consistent with the experi- mental profiles, compared to those calculated using the equilibrium partition coefficients.

Thermal heat flux distribution prediction in an electrical vehicle battery cell using finite element analysis and neural network

In terms of battery design and evaluation,Electric Vehicles(EVs)are receiving a great deal of attention as a modern,eco-friendly,sustainable transportation *** this paper,a novel battery pack is designed to maintain a uniform temperature distribution,allowing the battery to operate within its optimal temperature *** proposed battery design is part of a main channel where a portion of cool air will pass from an inlet then exit from an outlet where a uniform temperature distribution is ***,a 3-D model of a battery cell was created,followed by thermal simulation for 15C,25C,and 35C ambient *** simulation results reveal that the temperature distribution is nearly uniform,with slightly higher values in the middle portion of the cell ***,using finite element analysis(FEA),it was determined that the heat flux per unit area is nearly uniform with a slight increase at the ***,a machine learning model is proposed by utilizing a neural network(NN).Lastly,the heat flux values were predicted using the NN model that was *** model was assessed based on statistical measures where a root mean square error(RMSE)value of 0.87%was *** NN outperformed FEA in terms of time consumption with a high prediction accuracy,leveraging the potential of adopting machine learning over FEA in related operational assessments.

A Dvali–Gabadadze–Porrati(DGP)brane-world model with perfect fluid brane matter including a Brans-Dicke(BD)scalar field on brane was utilized to investigate the problem of the quark-hadron phase(QHP)transition in early evolution of the *** presence of the BD scalar field arises with several modified terms in the Friedmann *** the behavior of the phase transition strongly depends on the basic evolution equations,even a small change in these relations might lead to interesting results about the time of *** phase transition is investigated in two scenarios,namely the first-order phase transition and smooth crossover phase *** the first-order scenario,which is used for the intermediate temperature regime,the evolution of the physical quantities,such as temperature and scale factor,are investigated before,during,and after the phase *** results show that the transition occurs in about a *** the following part,the phenomenon is studied by assuming a smooth crossover transition,where the lattice QCD data is utilized to obtain a realistic equation for the state of the *** investigation for this part is performed in the high and low-temperature *** the trace anomaly in the high-temperature regime specifies a simple equation of state,which states that the quark-gluon behaves like ***,in the low-temperature regime,the trace anomaly is affected by discretization effects,and the hadron resonance gas model is utilized *** this model,a more realistic equation of state is found in the low-temperature *** crossover phase transition in both regimes is *** results determine that the transition lasts around a few ***,the transition in the low-temperature regime occurs after the transition in the high-temperature regime.

Impact of SF_(6) Decomposition Products on Epoxy Resin Chemical Stability and Doping-nano-Al_(2)O_(3)-based Enhancement Using the ReaxFF-MD Method

Chemically active by-products formed by corona discharge in SF_(6) gas are prone to damaging the exposed epoxy resin,or even leading to an entire insulation failure of the operational GIS/GIL power *** this proposed research,reactive force field molecular dynamic simulation methodology is applied to investigate the chemical reaction kinetics of epoxy polymer under the impact of highly energetic particles(F,S,SOF,SF,OH and O)so as to explain the degradation *** all cases,SF particle-impacted epoxy resin suffers the most serious surface erosion with the lowest remnant mass of 9%and deepest damage penetration of 32.6Å,to which the S particle-caused damage showed similar *** to high reactivity of the S atom,it can merge into the epoxy molecules to promote long chain breaking,causing a six-membered ring opening and further dissociation of short carbon chains,which makes the epoxy resin molecules undergo faster spontaneous dissociation with increased *** changes of small molecular gas products,such as CO_(2),H_(2)O and CH_(2)O,as well as that of the characteristic products,such as HF,CS_(2),SO and H_(2)S,are also evaluated under the impact of different *** presented research indicates that enhancing the resistance strength of epoxy polymer against S and SF particles'corrosion is the key approach to improving chemical stability in the SF_(6) *** studies were implemented to optimize the concentration and diameter of nano-Al_(2)O_(3) doped in the *** to this paper,aluminum nanoparticle with a diameter of 1nm could significantly reduce the erosion caused by SF and S *** micro-scale mechanism lies primarily within two aspects:the nanoparticles improve the surface heat transfer efficiency as to reduce temperature rise,and also provide an effective protection area by balancing distribution and self-exposing,which finally slows down the pyrolysis process of epoxy resin,as well as the re

Restoration of the degraded rangelands in Jordan using mechanized water harvesting and native species planting has become key to enhancing and maintaining the productivity and resilience of fragile ecosystems.A balanced interaction between the rangeland's hydrology and vegetation states is vital for achieving long-term *** gain a better insight into the impact of restoration on surface runoff and erosion and its role in recovering the ecosystem functions,we used the Rangeland Hydrological and Erosion Model(RHEM)to simulate various vegetation *** research aims to understand the rangelands'water and sediment dynamics and the vegetation transition states of the ecosystem through evaluating the current(degraded)situation,assess the restoration approach on improving the degraded status(restored),and investigate the long-term sustainability of the restoration approach compared with historical rangeland conditions(baseline).Several scenarios were developed with rangeland experts,local community representatives,and measurements at protected and restored areas to represent the rangeland *** found that restoration of the degraded Badia areas will decrease annual surface runoff from an average of 23.5 to 19.1 mm/year and soil erosion rate from 3.3 to 1.3 tons/*** time,restoration can bring back rangeland water and sediment dynamics closer towards the baseline conditions,which were 16.9 mm/year runoff rates and 0.85 ton/ha/year soil *** results indicate that restoration is a promising methodology to restore the degraded ecosystem and approximate the environment's historical hydrological regime.
