Direct Interventional Dis.us.ion Effectively Improves.Awarenes. and Knowledge about Modern Contraceptive Methods

Objectives. Determination of influence of direct interview of pos.partum women about their awarenes. and knowledge regarding contraception and modern contraceptive methods. Patients.& Methods. 1437 women joined the intervention and underwent evaluation of their knowledge about the concept and methods.of contraception. Then, an interview was.conducted with each woman to clarify advantages.and appropriatenes. of various.contraceptives.and the proper time for initiation of contraception. All women were as.ed to dis.us. thes. data with their families.and return to give their decis.on. s.udy outcomes.included evaluation of women’s.knowledge about contraception and its.modalities. frequency of non-us.rs.who accepted to us. contraception and is.cons.dered as.s.cces. of the intervention and frequency of reques.ing each modality of contraception. Res.lts. TV programs.and dis.us.ion with local health provider, relatives.or friends.are the main s.urces.of knowledge of primiparas. 182 primiparas.had good knowledge and chos. the appropriate method of contraception during the 1s. s.s.ion of dis.us.ion, and 81 primiparas.required >2 s.s.ions.to choos. the method appropriate for them, while 21 primiparas.ins.s.ed not to us. contraception for an acceptance rate of 92.6% among primipara. Among multiparas. 222 multiparas.were non-us.rs. but after dis.us.ion 133 couples.accepted to us. contraception. Thus. 396 non-us.rs.had accepted to us. contraception for an intervention s.cces. rate of 78.3%. Collectively 692 women (52.1%) received IUD and 635 women (47.9%) received hormonal contraception;432 orally (32.6%) and 203 parenterally (15.3%). Conclus.on: Ignorance, low financial s.atus.and cultural beliefs.deleterious.y affect knowledge about contraception options.and its.methods. s. direct interview is.mandatory. The applied intervention s.cceeded to replenis. women’s.knowledge about benefits.of us.ng contraception. Primiparas.had knowledge about contraception but their knowledge about m

This.paper deals.with the analys.s.and control of a photovoltaic （PV） s.s.em connected to the main s.pply through a Boos. converter and s.unt active filter s.pplied by a PV s.s.em providing continuous.s.pply of nonlinear load in variation. A robus. control of a PV s.s.em connected to the grid while feeding a variable nonlinear load is.developed and highlighted. This.development is.bas.d on the control of the Boos. converter to extract the maximum power from the PV s.s.em us.ng the Perturb and Obs.rve （P and O） algorithm in the pres.nce of temperature and illumination. The propos.d modeling and control s.rategy provide power to the variable nonlinear load and facilitates.the trans.er of power from s.lar panel to the grid while improving the quality of energy （harmonic currents.compens.tion, power factor compens.tion and dc bus.voltage regulation）. Validation of the developed model and control s.rategy is.conducted us.ng power s.s.em s.mulator s.m-Power s.s.em Blocks.t Matlab/s.mulink. To demons.rate the effectivenes. of the s.unt active filter to load changes. the method of ins.antaneous.power （pq theory） is.us.d to identify harmonic currents. The obtained res.lts.s.ow an accurate extraction of harmonic currents.and perfect compens.tion of both reactive power and harmonic currents.with a lower THD and in accordance with the IEEE-519 s.andard.

Cervical Length Es.imation and Cervicovaginal Fluid for Placental <i>α</i>-Microglobulin 1 Tes.ing to s.reen Women Had Threatened Preterm Labor for Time till s.ontaneous.Labor

Objectives. Evaluation of diagnos.ic performance of rapid tes.ing of cervico-vaginal fluid (CVF) for fetal fibronectin (FFN) and placental α-microglobulin 1 (PAMG-1) as.s.reening of women pres.nted by threatened preterm labor (TPTL) with intact membranes.for duration till getting s.ontaneous.labor (s.). Patients.& Methods. 37 women pres.nting with TPTL underwent CVF s.mplings.before digital examination and then underwent trans.aginal ultras.nography for es.imation of cervical length (CL). All women received fluid and anxiolytic therapy and if uterine contractions.pers.s.ed, all had received tocolytic therapy with oral nifedipine or intravenous.magnes.um s.lphate according to requirements. Incidence of s. within Res.lts. Incidence of s. was.13.5%, 35.2% and 51.3% within 48-hr, 2 - 7 and 7 - 14 days. res.ectively. Duration till labor after s.mpling was.pos.tively correlated with CL, while was.negatively correlated with pos.tive FFN and PAMG-1 tes.s. Pos.tive FFN tes. had high s.ecificity, while pos.tive PAMG-1 tes. had high s.ns.tivity for labor within 7 days. Regres.ion analys.s.defined s.ort CL and pos.tive PAMG-1 tes. as.s.gnificant predictors.for s.ort duration till s.. ROC curve analys.s.defined s.ort cervix and pos.tive PAMG-1 tes. as.s.gnificant predictors.for labor within 48-hr and within 2 - 7 days.res.ectively and combined negative PAMG-1 tes. and CL of 20 - 25 mm were s.gnificant predictors.for labor within 7 - 14 days. Conclus.on: PAMG-1 tes. had high s.ecificity, if pos.tive, for predicting s. and high NPP, if negative, for excluding labor within 7 days. s. it can be us.d as.rapid adjuvant to clinical evaluation to help management decis.on-making. Moreover, PAMG-1 tes. is.recommended s.reening tes. for being eas.-to-us. beds.de tes., provides.rapid res.lts. can be us.d after vaginal exam and coitus.and does.not require a s.eculum examination or s.ecialized equipment to analyze res.lts.

In this.work, the natural radionuclide concentrations.of the 226Ra, 228Ra, 232Th and 40K were es.imated from s.mples.of cattle and poultry fodder, s.uth Valley Univers.ty farms.and Qena Governorate farm, Qena, Upper Egypt. The radionuclide concentrations.and annual cons.mption rate of twenty-nine animal fodders.were analyzed us.ng low-level γ-s.ectrometer, including a mixture fodder, s.lage, hay, rice s.raw, and poultry fodder. The irradiation ris. of human health was.as.es.ed due to indirect inges.ion of the beef, milk, poultry and egg, the annual effective dos. of the radionuclides.for the local cons.mer was.2.7, 14, 0.1, and 0.14 μs.·y–1, res.ectively.

In continuation of our recent report on molybdates.[Appl. Phys. A 124, 44(2018)], the s.ructural, electronic, elas.ic,and optical properties.of ZMoO3(Z = Ba and s.) molybdates.are inves.igated under pres.ure(10 GPa–50 GPa) comprehens.vely by deploying the dens.ty functional theory. Our inves.igations.s.ow that the s.udied compounds.exhibit s.able cubic phas. with metallic attributes. The thermodynamic parameters.s.ch as.enthalpy of formation, Debye, and melting temperatures.of the compounds.are obs.rved to increas. with pres.ure. While the Gr¨unins.n parameter and the coefficient of s.per-plas.ic deformation decreas. as.the pres.ure increas.s. Mechanical properties.elucidate an increas. in meas.red values.of hardnes., bulk, s.ear, and young’s.moduli with pres.ure. Our res.lts.s.gges. that the s.udied compounds.are us.ful in high pres.ure optoelectronic devices. The optical properties.of BaMoO3(BMO) and s.MoO3(s.O) are computed for the radiation of up to 35 eV. The pres.nt compounds.s.ow beneficial optical applications.in the anti-reflection coating,lens.s. and the high avoiding s.lar heating applications.in the variant applied pres.ure.

Oilfield produced water is.large quantities.of s.lty water trapped in underground formations.and s.bs.s.ed under high temperatures.and pres.ures.that are brought to the s.rface along with oil during production. Produced water(PW) contains.a lot of pollutants.s.ch as.hydrocarbons.and metals. this.water mus. be treated before dis.os.l. Therefore, different techniques.are being us.d to treat produced water. Electrocoagulation is.an efficient treatment technique involving the dis.olution of anodes.and formation of electro-coagulants. while the s.multaneous.generation of H_2 bubbles.at the cathode leads.to the pollutant removal by flotation. Electrocoagulation(EC)method is.one of the mos. promis.ng and widely us.d proces.es.to treat oilfield produced water. In the pres.nt work, a conventional internal-loop(draught tube) airlift reactor was.utilized as.electrocoagulation/flotation cell for PW treatment by ins.rting two aluminum electrodes.in the ris.r s.ction of the airlift reactor. The EC airlift reactor was.operated in a batch mode for the liquid phas.. Different experimental parameters.were s.udied on the oil and turbidity removal efficiencies.s.ch as.current dens.ty, initial pH, electrocoagulation time, and air *** experimental res.lts.s.owed that mixing of the oil droplets.in the PW was.accomplis.ed us.ng only the liquid recirculation res.lted by H_2 microbubbles.generated by EC proces. which enhanced the oil removal. The experimental res.lts.further s.owed that the EC time required achieving ≥ 90% oil removal efficiency decreas.s.from 46 to 15 min when operating current dens.ty increas.s.from 6.8 to 45.5 mA·cm^(-2). This.reactor type was.found to be highly efficient and les. energy cons.ming compared to conventional exis.ing electrochemical cells.which us.d mechanical agitation.

Background: Until recently little was.known about factors.affecting reproductive parameters.of the Turtle Dove(s.reptopelia turtur) on intens.vely cultivated farmland in the Mediterranean area. In this.s.udy, the reproductive parameters.of this.game s.ecies.were evaluated in relation to location, orchard type, laying period and nes. pos.tion in central ***: A total of 317 nes.s.were found and analyzed acros. five breeding s.as.ns.2004–2008) in the Haouz and Tadla regions. over two major agro-ecos.s.ems.made up of olive and orange orchards. Nes. pos.tion, laying period, clutch s.ze and the number of chicks.hatched and fledged per nes. were determined on 120 s.udy plots. I us.d Generalized Linear Models.GLMs. with a Pois.on dis.ribution and a log link function, including the logarithm of the number of eggs.in each clutch as.an offs.t to model the number of chicks.hatched and fledged per ***: Clutch-s.ze was.not affected by location, orchard type, laying period or nes. pos.tion. The number of chicks.hatched per nes. differed between orchard types. they were greater in olive orchards.1.33 ± 0.06) than in orange ones.1.03 ± 0.08), whereas.the number of chicks.fledged per nes. cons.s.ently differed with laying period and orchard type, which were higher in the early laying period(1.22 ± 0.07) than in the late period(0.93 ± 0.08) and higher in olive orchards.1.22 ± 0.06) than in orange orchards.0.90 ± 0.06).
