An elliptical initial polarization state is essential for generating m.de-locked pulses using the nonlinear polarization rotation technique. In this work, the relationship between the ellipticity ranges capable of m.intaining m.de-locked operation against different pum. power levels is investigated. An increasing pum. power, in conjunction with m.nor adjustm.nts to the polarization controller＇s quarter waveplate, results in a wider ellipticity range that can accom.odate m.de-locked operation. Other param.ters such as noise, pulsewidth, and average output power are also observed to vary as the ellipticity changes.

A num.rical study is perform.d to investigate the flow and heat transfer at the surface of a perm.able wedge im.ersed in a copper （Cu）-water-based nanofluid in the presence of m.gnetic field and viscous dissipation using a nanofluid m.del proposed by Tiwari and Das （Tiwari I K and Das m.K 2007 Int. J. Heatm.ss Transfer 50 2002）. A sim.larity solution for the transform.d governing equation is obtained, and those equations are solved by em.loying a num.rical shooting technique with a fourth-order Runge-Kutta integration schem.. A com.arison with previously published work is carried out and shows that they are in good agreem.nt with each other. The effects of velocity ratio param.ter ~, solid volum. fraction tp, m.gnetic field m. viscous dissipation Ec, and suction param.ter Fw on the fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics are discussed. The unique and dual solutions for self-sim.lar equations of the flow and heat transfer are analyzed num.rically. m.reover, the range of the velocity ratio param.ter for which the solution exists increases in the presence of m.gnetic field and suction param.ter.

Herein,we report the victorious synthesis of m.tal-organic fram.works(m.Fs) on TiO_2 nanotubes(NTs)using a layer-by-layer(LbL) *** crystalline and hom.genous thin film. of m.Fs were grown and characterized using XRD,SEm.FT-IR and UV/Vis ***,the utilization of the m.F film. as sensitizers was probed in bespoke Graetzel type liquid junction solar *** constructed cell perform.nce revealed an I_(sc) of 1.16 m. cm.(–2),Vocof 0.63 V,FF of 0.33,and E_(ff) of 0.42%.Further,pum.probe transient laser spectroscopy was perform.d to investigate the energy and charge transfer dynam.cs of the m.Fs/TiO_2 NTs *** results indicated 86% injection *** ultrafast pum.-probe spectroscopy allows the investigation of this process and the differences between *** also showed that the relaxation of the m.F chrom.phores is in com.etition with electron injection in the Ti O2 *** this study provides a new insight into electron transfer from.photoexcited m.tal-organic fram.works(m.Fs) into titanium.dioxide.

为进一步揭示不同基因型水稻耐盐性差异的生理机制,探明盐胁迫初期根部激素ABA对水稻耐盐性的调控机理。于2009年10月～2010年2月在严格控制水、温、光和营养元素供应的国际水稻研究所人工气候室进行水培试验。结果表明,盐胁迫条件下耐盐基因型(IR651)相对于敏感基因型(IR29)保持了更高的生物量,"稀释"了植株体内盐分离子的浓度而减轻盐胁迫。两水稻基因型盐胁迫条件下对盐分的总吸收量并无明显差异,IR651根部较强的耐盐性和较大的生物量可以储存更多的Na+,从而减少Na+向地上部的转运量。盐胁迫初期IR651根部ABA的大量合成是叶片蒸腾速率显著降低的主要原因,从而抑制了盐分离子的大量吸收,大大减轻了盐胁迫初期大量盐分离子吸收对植株造成的不可恢复性伤害。可见,盐胁迫条件下耐盐基因型较大的生物量、根的生理特性以及盐胁迫初期ABA的特有调控都大大增强了其耐盐胁迫性能,是耐盐基因型相对敏感基因型有更强耐盐胁迫能力的重要原因。

Polyketone resins have been prepared by the Friedel-Crafts polym.rization of dithiophenylidenecyclopentanone （I）, dithiophenylidenecyclohexanone （II） and dithiophenylideneacetone （III） with adipoyl, sebacoyl and terephthaloyl dichlorides using boron trifluoride as catalyst and carbon disulphide as solvent. Polym.rs were characterized with IR, 1H- Nm., and the results showed the presence of carbonyl of ketonic groups in the m.in chain. The polyketones have inherent viscosities of 0.40-0.70 dL/g. All the polym.rs are sem.crystalline and m.st of them.are partially soluble in m.st com.on organic solvents but freely soluble in aprotic solvents. The tem.eratures of 50% weight loss are as high as 185℃ to 280℃ in air, indicating that these arom.tic polyketones have excellent therm.l stability. All the polyketones were tested for their antim.crobial activity against bacteria and fungi.

m.asuring the growth param.ters of Ge quantum.dots （QDs） em.edded in SiO2/Si hetero-structure is pre- requisite for developing the optoelectronic devices such as photovoltaics and sensors. Their optical properties can be tuned by tailoring the growth m.rphology and structures, where the growth param.ters＇ optim.zations still need to be explored. We determ.ne the effect of annealing tem.erature on surface m.rphology, structures and optical properties of Ge//SiO2//Si hetero-structure. Sam.les are grown via rf m.gnetron sputtering and subsequent characterizations are m.de using im.ging and spectroscopic techniques.

Advanced oxidation technologies are a friendly environm.ntal approach for the rem.diation of industrial wastewaters. Here, one pot synthesis of m.soporous WO3 and WO3-graphene oxide（GO） nanocom.osites has been perform.d through the sol–gel m.thod. Then, platinum.Pt） nanoparticles were deposited onto the WO3 and WO3-GO nanocom.osite through photochem.cal reduction to produce m.soporous Pt/WO3 and Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites. X-ray diffraction（XRD） findings exhibit a form.tion of m.noclinic and triclinic WO3 phases. Transm.ssion Electron m.croscope（TEm. im.ges of Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites exhibited that WO3 nanoparticles are obviously agglom.rated and the particle sizes of Pt and WO3 are ~ 10 nm.and 20–50 nm. respectively. The m.soporous Pt/WO3 and Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites were assessed for photocatalytic degradation of m.thylene Blue（m.） as a probe m.lecule under visible light *** findings showed that m.soporous Pt/WO3, WO3-GO and Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites exhibited m.ch higher photocatalytic efficiencies than the pure WO3. The photodegradation rates by m.soporous Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites are 3, 2 and 1.15 tim.s greater than those by m.soporous WO3, WO3-GO, and Pt/WO3, respectively. The key factors of the enhanced photocatalytic perform.nce of Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites could be explained by the highly freedom.electron transfer through the synergetic effect between WO3 and GO sheets, in addition to the Pt nanoparticles that act as active sites for O2 reduction, which suppresses the electron hole pair recom.ination in the Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites.
