Voltage imbalance(VI)is caused by the difference in connected single-phase load or generation in a low voltage distribution network(DN).VI increase in a smart distribution grid is due to the current practice of increasing single-phase distributed generators such as photovoltaic(PV)*** paper proposes a decentralized control method to mitigate VI using distributed batteries included in smart grid interfaced residential PV *** mitigate VI using the batteries in this way,five challenges must be overcome,i.e.,equalizing all battery stress currents within the DN,mitigating VI in abnormal conditions such as signal loss among bus controllers,being immune from the distorted feedback measurements,minimizing the steady-state error at different loads,and overcoming the insufficient number or capacity of the distributed batteries at the same *** fuzzy logic controllers(FLC)are proposed at each bus to overcome these five tasks based on a decentralized control *** proposed decentralized control based on FLC is compared with centralized control based on a PI *** proposed control method is tested and verified using simulations in the mATLAB/Simulink software,and the results validate the ability of the scheme to alleviate VI on a smart distribution network under both normal and abnormal conditions.

AIm: To evaluate the effect of portal vein thrombosis and arterioportal shunts on local tumor response in advanced cases of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma treated by transarterial chemoembolization. mETHODS: A retrospective study included 39 patients (mean age: 66.4 years, range: 45-79 years, SD: 7) with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who were treated with repetitive transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) in the period between march 2006 and October 2009. The effect of portal vein thrombosis (PVT) (in 19 out of 39 patients), the presence of arterioportal shunt (APS) (in 7 out of 39), the underlying liver pathology,Child-Pugh score, initial tumor volume, number of tumors and tumor margin definition on imaging were correlated with the local tumor response after TACE. The initial and end therapy local tumor responses were evaluated according to the response evaluation criteria in solid tumors (RECIST) and magnetic resonance imaging volumetric measurements. RESULTS: The treatment protocols were well tolerated by all patients with no major complications. Local tumor response for all patients according to RECIST criteria were partial response in one patient (2.6%), stable disease in 34 patients (87.1%), and progressive disease in 4 patients (10.2%). The mR volumetric measurements showed that the PVT, APS, underlying liver pathology and tumor margin definition were statistically significant prognostic factors for the local tumor response (P = 0.018, P = 0.008, P = 0.034 and P = 0.001, respectively). The overall 6-, 12- and 18-mo survival rates from the initial TACE were 79.5%, 37.5% and 21%, respectively. CONCLUSION: TACE may be exploited safely for palliative tumor control in patients with advanced unresectable HCC; however, tumor response is significantly affected by the presence or absence of PVT and APS.

A non-solvent induced phase separation(NIPS)process was used to fabricate a series of sulfonated polyethersulfone(SPES)membranes blending with different concentrations of SBA-15-g-PSPA with the applications in the ultrafiltration(UF)***-15 was modified with 3-methacrylate-propyltrime thoxysilane(mPS)to form *** was further modified with the charge tailorable polymer chains by reacting with 3-sulfopropyl methacrylate potassium *** nanoparticles were uniformly dispersed and finger-like channels were developed within the *** adding of surface modified SBA-15-g-PSPA nanoparticles has significantly improved membrane water permeability,hydrophilicity,and antifouling *** pure water fluxes of the composite SPES membranes were significantly higher than the pristine SPES *** the membrane containing 5%(mass)of SBA-15-g-PSPA(mSSPA5),the pure water flux was increased dramatically to 402.15 Lm^(-2)·h^(-1),which is ~1.5 times that of mSSPA0(268.0 Lm^(-2)·h^(-1)).The high flux rate was achieved with 3%(mass)of SBA-15 nanoparticles with retained high rejection ratio 98%for natural organic *** results indicate that the fashioned composite membrane comprising SBA-15-g-PSPA nanoparticles have a promising future in ultrafiltration applications.

In terms of security and privacy,mobile ad-hoc network(mANET)continues to be in demand for additional debate and *** more mANET applications become data-oriented,implementing a secure and reliable data transfer protocol becomes a major concern in the ***,mANET’s lack of infrastructure,unpredictable topology,and restricted resources,as well as the lack of a previously permitted trust relationship among connected nodes,contribute to the attack detection burden.A novel detection approach is presented in this paper to classify passive and active black-hole *** proposed approach is based on the dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithm,which presents a plausible path out of multiple paths for statistics transmission to boost mANETs’quality of service.A group of selected packet features will then be weighed by the DTO-based multi-layer perceptron(DTO-mLP),and these features are collected from nodes using the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchical(LEACH)clustering *** is a powerful classifier and the DTO weight optimization method has a significant impact on improving the classification process by strengthening the weights of key features while suppressing the weights ofminor *** hybridmethod is primarily designed to combat active black-hole *** the LEACH clustering phase,however,can also detect passive black-hole *** effect of mobility variation on detection error and routing overhead is explored and evaluated using the suggested *** diverse mobility situations,the results demonstrate up to 97%detection accuracy and faster execution ***,the suggested approach uses an adjustable threshold value to make a correct conclusion regarding whether a node is malicious or benign.

In data mining and machine learning,feature selection is a critical part of the process of selecting the optimal subset of features based on the target *** are 2n potential feature subsets for every n features in a dataset,making it difficult to pick the best set of features using standard ***,in this research,a new metaheuristics-based feature selection technique based on an adaptive squirrel search optimization algorithm(ASSOA)has been *** using metaheuristics to pick features,it is common for the selection of features to vary across runs,which can lead to *** of this,we used the adaptive squirrel search to balance exploration and exploitation duties more evenly in the optimization *** the selection of the best subset of features,we recommend using the binary ASSOA search strategy we developed *** to the suggested approach,the number of features picked is reduced while maximizing classification accuracy.A ten-feature dataset from the University of California,Irvine(UCI)repository was used to test the proposed method’s performance *** other state-of-the-art approaches,including binary grey wolf optimization(bGWO),binary hybrid grey wolf and particle swarm optimization(bGWO-PSO),bPSO,binary stochastic fractal search(bSFS),binary whale optimization algorithm(bWOA),binary modified grey wolf optimization(bmGWO),binary multiverse optimization(bmVO),binary bowerbird optimization(bSBO),binary hybrid GWO and genetic algorithm 4028 CmC,2023,vol.74,no.2(bGWO-GA),binary firefly algorithm(bFA),and *** results confirm the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for solving the problem of feature selection.
