COVID-19,being the virus of fear and anxiety,is one of the most recent and emergent of various respiratory disorders.It is similar to the MERS-COV and SARS-COV,the viruses that affected a large population of different countries in the year 2012 and 2002,respectively.Various standard models have been used for COVID-19 epidemic prediction but they suffered from low accuracy due to lesser data availability and a high level of uncertainty.The proposed approach used a machine learning-based time-series Facebook NeuralProphet model for prediction of the number of death as well as confirmed cases and compared it with Poisson Distribution,and Random Forest Model.The analysis upon dataset has been performed considering the time duration from January 1st 2020 to16th July 2021.The model has been developed to obtain the forecast values till September 2021.This study aimed to determine the pandemic prediction of COVID-19 in the second wave of coronavirus in India using the latest Time-Series model to observe and predict the coronavirus pandemic situation across the country.In India,the cases are rapidly increasing day-by-day since mid of Feb 2021.The prediction of death rate using the proposed model has a good ability to forecast the COVID-19 dataset essentially in the second wave.To empower the prediction for future validation,the proposed model works effectively.

Radar Rainfall Estimation of a Severe Thunderstorm over Jeddah

The regular occurrence of flash floods over the region of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the past decade has highlighted the serious need for the development of early warning systems. Radar stations have been installed in Jeddah in the last decade whose active radius covers the Middle Western area of the country. Therefore, radar information and the associated the rainfall estimates are potentially useful components of an effective early warning system. Weather radar can potentially provide high-resolution spatial and temporal rainfall estimates that bring more accuracy to flood warnings as well as having applications in areas with insufficient rainfall stations coverage. Weather radar does not measure rainfall depth directly. An empirical relationship between reflectivity (Z) and rainfall rate (R), called the Z-R relationship (Z = ARb), is generally used to assess the rainfall depth. In this study, the rainfall events during August-September 2007 were analyzed to develop a Z-R relationship using the Spatial Probability Technique (SPT). This technique is based on a basic GIS function and the probability matching method. Using this technique, the Z-R pairs can be analyzed for both linear and empirical power relationships. It is found that the empirical power function is more appropriate to describe Z-R relationship than a linear function for the studied area. The method is applied with some success to the flooding event of November 25, 2009. However, the investigation of the Z-R relationship is only one step in the development of a warning system;further study of other parameters relevant to rainfall and flash flood occurrence is needed.

Since the beginning of web applications,security has been a critical study area.There has been a lot of research done to figure out how to define and identify security goals or issues.However,high-security web apps have been found to be less durable in recent years;thus reducing their business continuity.High security features of a web application are worthless unless they provide effective services to the user and meet the standards of commercial viability.Hence,there is a necessity to link in the gap between durability and security of the web application.Indeed,security mechanisms must be used to enhance durability as well as the security of the web application.Although durability and security are not related directly,some of their factors influence each other indirectly.Characteristics play an important role in reducing the void between durability and security.In this respect,the present study identifies key characteristics of security and durability that affect each other indirectly and directly,including confidentiality,integrity availability,human trust and trustworthiness.The importance of all the attributes in terms of their weight is essential for their influence on the whole security during the development procedure of web application.To estimate the efficacy of present study,authors employed the Hesitant Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process(H-Fuzzy AHP).The outcomes of our investigations and conclusions will be a useful reference for the web application developers in achieving a more secure and durable web application.

Utilization of Small Size Bolti (<i>Talibia nilotica</i>) and Sardine (<i>Sardina pilchardus</i>) Fish in Preparing Canned Weaning Food Purees

Utilize small size of bolti and sardine fish in preparing fish based weaning foods rich in protein, essential amino acids, fat high in omega 3 fatty acids, minerals and vitamins was investigated. The proximate composition, nutritional value, physical and sensorial properties were evaluated, The results of the chemical composition showed that the moisture content of fish based weaning food purees ranged from 67.73% to 72.05%. On dry weight basis, the five prepared formulations considered rich in protein (37.39% - 44.86%), fat (26.55% - 30.43%), ash (6.53% - 12.23%) and low in carbohydrates (20.70% - 22.18%). Using fish bones with muscles in preparing weaning food puree caused a marked rise in its content of Ca, P, Fe, and Zn levels especially in purees formulated from bolti. Weaning food purees containing sardine fish rich, in fat, were higher in vitamin A and D than those formulated from bolti one. Palmitic acid (C16:0), stearic acid (C18:0), and myristic acid (C14:0) represented the major saturated fatty acids in the prepared formulations. Weaning food purees containing sardine fish had relatively higher levels of sulfur-containing amino acids and slight lower values of lysine, alanine and glycine than these including bolti fish. The In vitro protein digestibility index (IVPDI) of the different formulations was found to be 100%. The

Intrusion Detection System Using Voting-Based Neural Network

Several security solutions have been proposed to detect network abnormal behavior. However, successful attacks is still a big concern in computer society. Lots of security breaches, like Distributed Denial of Service(DDoS),botnets, spam, phishing, and so on, are reported every day, while the number of attacks are still increasing. In this paper, a novel voting-based deep learning framework, called VNN, is proposed to take the advantage of any kinds of deep learning structures. Considering several models created by different aspects of data and various deep learning structures, VNN provides the ability to aggregate the best models in order to create more accurate and robust results. Therefore, VNN helps the security specialists to detect more complicated attacks. Experimental results over KDDCUP'99 and CTU-13, as two well known and more widely employed datasets in computer network area, revealed the voting procedure was highly effective to increase the system performance, where the false alarms were reduced up to 75% in comparison with the original deep learning models, including Deep Neural Network(DNN), Convolutional Neural Network(CNN), Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM), and Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU).

University timetabling problems are a yearly challenging task and are faced repeatedly each semester.The problems are considered nonpolynomial time(NP)and combinatorial optimization problems(COP),which means that they can be solved through optimization algorithms to produce the aspired optimal timetable.Several techniques have been used to solve university timetabling problems,and most of them use optimization techniques.This paper provides a comprehensive review of the most recent studies dealing with concepts,methodologies,optimization,benchmarks,and open issues of university timetabling problems.The comprehensive review starts by presenting the essence of university timetabling as NP-COP,defining and clarifying the two formed classes of university timetabling:University Course Timetabling and University Examination Timetabling,illustrating the adopted algorithms for solving such a problem,elaborating the university timetabling constraints to be considered achieving the optimal timetable,and explaining how to analyze and measure the performance of the optimization algorithms by demonstrating the commonly used benchmark datasets for the evaluation.It is noted that meta-heuristic methodologies are widely used in the literature.Additionally,recently,multi-objective optimization has been increasingly used in solving such a problem that can identify robust university timetabling solutions.Finally,trends and future directions in university timetabling problems are provided.This paper provides good information for students,researchers,and specialists interested in this area of research.The challenges and possibilities for future research prospects are also explored.

Using artificial neural network to predict velocity of sound in liquid water as a function of ambient temperature, electrical and magnetic fields

One of the main thermophysical properties of liquid water is velocity of sound.However,the effect of different externalities on velocity of sound in liquid water is not well known.Therefore,in current study,by designing an artificial neural network(ANN)velocity of sound in liquid water under different externalities is predicted.Selected externalities are ambient temperature from 272.65 K to 348.43 K,different electrical fields in range of 0 V/m to 4.03E+9 V/m and magnetic fields in range of 0-10.0594 T.To prepare of reference dataset for entry to ANN,numerical and experimental data as macroscopic reference data are extracted from microscopic characteristic of water HB strength.In order to achieve an appropriate ANN,ANN architecture sensitivity analysis is conducted by using an iterative algorithm.Learning procedure in the selected feed-forward back propagation ANN is done by hyperbolic transfer functions.Also,Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is utilized for the optimization process.ANNs output showed that the maximum MSE in prediction of velocity of sound is 0.00066.Also,the minimum of correlation coefficient in prediction of velocity of sound is 0.99131.Based on the ANNs outputs,weights and bias,an equation to predict of velocity of sound in liquid water under intended externalities is proposed.Also,according to weight sensitivity analysis input of electrical fields with 63%relative importance percentage has a grater impression on the response variable of velocity of sound in liquid water.©2016 Shanghai Jiaotong University.Published by Elsevier B.V.

On hydrodynamic analysis of stepped planing crafts

Using transverse steps is one of the adopted strategies to improve the hydrodynamic characteristics of planing crafts.In the present paper,hydrodynamic characteristics of stepped planing crafts are numerically investigated.For this purpose,we analyzed the effects of five different types of transverse steps on lift to drag ratio,resistance,trim angle and sinkage of high speed planing crafts.Contours of pressure distribution on the bottom of crafts,water volume fraction and free-surface are also presented at different hull velocities.Computed numerical results are properly validated against our conducted towing tank experimental tests.

Development of an Arabic version of the National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire as a tool to study eye diseases patients in Egypt

AIM:To develop and test an Arabic version of the National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire-25(NEI-VFQ-25).METHODS:NEI-VFQ-25 was translated into Arabic according to WHO translation guidelines. We enrolled adult consenting patients with bilateral chronic eye diseases who presented to 14 hospitals across Egypt from October to December 2012, and documented their clinical findings. Psychometric properties were then tested using STATA.RESULTS:We recruited 379 patients, whose mean age was(54.5±15)y. Of 46.2% were males, 227 had cataract,31 had glaucoma, 23 had retinal detachment, 37 had diabetic retinopathy, and 61 had miscellaneous visual defects. Non-response rate and the floor and ceiling numbers of the Arabic version(ARB-VFQ-25) were calculated. Internal consistency was high in all subscales(except general health), with Cronbach-α ranging from0.702-0.911. Test-retest reliability was high(intraclass correlation coefficient 0.79).CONCLUSION:RB-VFQ-25 isareliableandvalidtool for assessing visual functions of Arabic speaking patients. However, some questions had high non-response rates and should be substituted by available alternatives. Our results support the importance of including self-reported visual functions as part of routine ophthalmologic examination.

A Novel Spectrophotometric Method for Determination of Gabapentin in Pharmaceutical Formulations Using 2,5-Dihydroxybenzaldehyde

A highly simple, rapid, sensitive and selective method is developed for spectrophotometric determination of gabapentin in pure form as well as in pharmaceutical formulations. The method is based on the formation of a yellow Schiff base derived from the condensation of gabapentin drug (1-amino methyl) cyclo hexane acetic acid and 2,5-dihydroxybenzaldehyde (DHBA) exhibiting a maximum absorbance at 445 nm. The composition, molar absorptivity and effect of different excipient have been determined spectrophotometrically. Under optimized experimental conditions, Beer’s law is obeyed in the concentration range 2.57 - 37.25 μg/ml. The method is validated with respect to accuracy, precision, limit of detection and limit of quantification. The Sandell sensitivity, correlation coefficient and regression equation are calculated. The equilibrium constant and free energy change using Benesi-Hildebrand plot are also determined. The Schiff base derived from condensation of gabapentin with DHBA is also synthesized and characterized. The condensation reaction mechanism has been proposed.
