Ba.kground: The centra. nervous system is one of the most importa.t systems a.fected by forma.dehyde (Fa.. a.m of Work: This study wa. designed to a.sess its toxic neuropsychia.ric effects both clinica.ly a.d experimenta.ly a.d the protective effects of ga.lic. Methods: Clinica.ly: 20 workers in the gross a.a.omy la.ora.ory a.d 20 liberta.ia.s underwent a.sta.da.dized clinica. a.sessment including medica., neurologica. a.d psychia.ric exa.ina.ion. Experimenta.: 40 ma.e ra.s were divided ra.domly into four groups. Group I is control group. Group II received 10 mg/kg of Fa.intra.eritonea.ly once da.ly for 14 da.s. Group III wa. trea.ed with fresh ga.lic juice (1 ml/100g body weight) once da.ly by ora. ga.a.e for 14 da.s. Groups VI received fresh ga.lic juice plus forma.dehyde da.ly for 14 da.s. a. the end of the experiment, the ra.s’ bra.ns were obta.ned for histologica. exa.ina.ion a.d biochemica. a.a.ysis. Results: Clinica. a.d psychia.ric profile of Fa.exposed persons’ revea.ed cognitive impa.red, a.xious a.d depressed persons. There were hostile persons with more hostility towa.d outside. Experimenta.ly, hippoca.pa. a.d fronta. superoxide dismuta.e a.d reduced gluta.hione showed highly significa.t decrea.e while ma.ondia.dehyde a.d nitric oxide level showed highly significa.t increa.e in forma.dehyde trea.ed group when compa.ed with control group. a.so histopa.hologica. cha.ges in the hippoca.pa. a.d fronta. cortices by light microscope revea.ed ma.y distorted cells with deeply sta.ned shrunked nuclei a.d cytopla.m wa. surrounded by va.uola.ed pa.e a.ea. in Fa.exposed group. Minimiza.ion of biochemica. a.d histopa.hologica. cha.ges were observed in combined forma.dehyde a.d ga.lic trea.ed group. Conclusion: The profiles of persona.ity a.ouse da.gerous a.fa.rs a.out the toxic impa.t of Fa.on persons, fa.ily, a.d society. Forma.dehyde-induced neurona. da.a.e, oxida.ive stress a.d lipid peroxida.ion in bra.n were minimized by a.dition of ga.lic.

Ba.kground: Inva.ive mea.uring of LV end dia.tolic pressure (LVEDP) provides relia.le a.sessment of LV dia.tolic dysfunction, but its inva.ive na.ure limits its use in da.ly pra.tice. a.cura.e noninva.ive a.sessment of LV dia.tolic dysfunction is highly desira.le, a.d the rela.ionship between the degree of LVEDP a.d LV torsion dyna.ics a.sessed by 2D speckle tra.king is not clea.ly a.sessed;here in our study we a.med to a.sess the rela.ion between the degree of LVEDP a.d torsion dyna.ics of left ventricle. Methods: The study included sixty pa.ients divided equa.ly into 3 groups a.cording to the degree of LVEDP, group I: mmHg, group II: 12 - 18 mmHg, a.d group III: >18 mmHg;complete conventiona. echo-Doppler study includes a.so a.nula. septa. E wa.e pea. velocity, E/E’ ra.io a.d 2D-speckle tra.king including pa.a.eters of LV globa. longitudina. stra.n (GLS), pea. a.d time to pea. of twist ra.io (TR & TT respectively), pea. a.d time to pea. of untwist ra.io (UTR & UTT respectively). Results: There wa. significa.t progressive decrea.e in GLS with progressive increa.e in LVEDP from I to III. Untwist ra.io increa.ed in group II a.d decrea.ed in significa.t degree in group III;Twist ra.io did not differ with different gra.es of LVEDP. La.dia.eter a.d E/E’ increa.e from group I to III. The LVEDP is nega.ively correla.ed with the UTR a.d GLS is positively correla.ed with UTT, E/E & La.dia.eter. The E/E’ ra.io is correla.ed nega.ively with the UTR, GLS a.d positively with LVEDP & UTT a.d La.dia.eter. Conclusions: Noninva.ive a.sessment of LV torsion a.d untwisting wa. fea.ible in pa.ients with va.ious gra.es of LVEDP a.d dia.tolic dysfunction;the pea. untwist ra.io increa.ed in mild degree of increa.ed LVEDP then decrea.ed a.a.n with more increa.e in LVEDP;LVEDP wa.nega.ively correla.ed with the pea. untwist ra.io a.d GLS wa. positively correla.ed with UTT a.d E/E’.

Introduction: Gesta.iona. trophobla.tic neopla.ia.(GTN), is recognized a. the most cura.le gyna.cologic ma.igna.cy. However, ma.y ca.es a.e resista.t to first line chemothera.y. Objective: The a.m of the study is to report our 5 yea.s experience in the ma.a.ement of GTN ca.es with specia. stress on the chemo-resista.t ca.es. Methods: The study wa. performed through reviewing the records of 51 pa.ients who were dia.nosed a. GTN during the period from 1/1/2006 to 31/12/2010 in Ma.soura.University Hospita., Egypt. Results: Resista.ce to methotrexa.e thera.y wa. reported in 15.15% of low risk ca.es a.d received etoposide or cispla.inum/etoposide. Sixty percent of high risk ca.es were resista.t to Ma. combina.ion a.d received sa.va.e chemothera.y or hysterectomy. There wa. significa.t correla.ion between pa.ient response a.d initia. B-hCG, a. well a. WHO risk score (P va.ue = 0.001 in both) but correla.ions with a.e, pa.ity, type of a.tecedent pregna.cy, a.d histopa.hology were non significa.t (p = 0.95, 0.53, 0.47& 0.83 respectively). Conclusion: Low risk GTN ca.es who were resista.t to methotrexa.e monothera.y received etoposide or cispla.inum/etoposide a. a.second-line thera.y. High risk GTN ca.es who were resista.t to Ma. combina.ion received second-line combina.ion chemothera.y a.d/or hysterectomy. WHO risk score a.d initia. B-hCG were correla.ed to resista.ce to first line chemothera.y.

PICU a.mission a.d a.most a.fourfold increa.ed risk in pa.ients with high ba.eline s-Cys-C a. PICU *** levels were highly predictive of a.I during the follow-up period[a.ea.under the curve(a.C)=0.76,95%confidence interva.(CI)0.61-0.92].The cutoff point with the highest correctly cla.sified proportion wa. 223 ng/mL(≥12 centiles)which correctly predict 80.0%pa.ients with a.I,with a.corresponding sensitivity of 72.7%a.d a.specificity of 89.9%.a.C for s-Cys-C wa. 0.86(95%CI 0.75-0.97),a.d the highest correctly cla.sified proportion wa. 1009μg/L(≥13 centiles);75%of pa.ients with a.I,with a.corresponding sensitivity of 63.6%a.d a.specificity of 88.9%.Conclusion uNGa. a.d s-Cys-C predicts a.I ea.ly in critica.ly ill children.

探讨夏季奥运会采用的交通组织规划方法,同时总结世界上最大规模的特殊活动——沙特阿拉伯麦加朝觐/副朝交通组织规划经验。每年一度的麦加朝觐已经延续几个世纪,在最近几十年人数持续增长,朝圣者已增至600万人,包括朝觐一周内300万人和斋月期间100万人。目前,这项活动是历史上规模最大且定期举行的特殊活动,其规模预计还将大幅增长。奥运会是世界上第二大特殊活动,每4年举办一次,在主办城市持续2周。通常奥运会主办城市自身的交通压力已经非常巨大,在奥运会期间同时还要额外满足4万名奥运官员和运动员以及800万名观众的出行需求。因此,奥运会交通组织规划对于保障赛事顺利开展至关重要。通过描述这两项活动的背景和交通供需特征,概述已有交通组织规划方法,旨在分析和总结大型活动交通组织规划的经验教训,探讨可供选择的规划策略。
