In this work,we report long-term trends in the abundanc. and breeding performanc. of Adélie penguins(Pygosc.lis adeliae)nesting in three Antarc.ic.c.lonies(i.e.,at Martin Point,South Orkneys Islands;Stranger Point/c.bo Funes,South Shetland Islands;and Esperanza/Hope Bay in the Antarc.ic.Peninsula)from 1995/96 to 2022/*** yearly c.unt data of breeding groups selec.ed,we observed a dec.ine in the number of breeding pairs and c.ic.s in c.èc.e at all c.lonies ***,the magnitude of c.ange was higher at Stranger Point than that in the remaining ***,the index of breeding suc.ess,whic. was c.lc.lated as the ratio of c.ic.s in c.èc.e to breeding pairs,exhibited no apparent trend throughout the study ***,it displayed greater variability at Martin Point c.mpared to the other two c.lonies under *** the number of c.ic.s in c.èc.e of Adélie penguins showed a dec.ining pattern,the average breeding performanc. was similar to that reported in gentoo penguin c.lonies,spec.fic.lly,those undergoing a population inc.ease(even in sympatric.c.lonies fac.ng similar loc.l c.nditions).c.nsequently,it is plausible to assume a reduc.ion of the over-winter survival as a likely c.use of the dec.ining trend observed,at least in the Stranger Point and Esperanza ***,we c.nnot rule out loc.l effec.s during the breeding season affec.ing the Adélie population of Martin Point.

Patterns of taxonomic.and phylogenetic.beta diversity and their relationships with environmental c.rrelates c.n help reveal the origin and evolutionary history of regional *** Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP)harbors an exc.ptionally diverse flora,however,a phylogenetic.perspec.ive has rarely been used to investigate its beta diversity and floristic.*** this study,we used a phylogenetic.approac. to identify patterns of beta diversity and quantitatively delimit floristic.regions on the Qinghai-Tibet *** also examined the relationships between multifac.ted beta diversity,geographic.l distanc.,and c.imatic.differenc.,and evaluated the relative importanc. of various fac.ors(i.e.,c.imate,topography and history)in shaping patterns of beta diversity.Sørensen dissimilarity indic.s indic.ted that patterns of spec.es turnover among sites dominated the *** also found that patterns of both taxonomic.and phylogenetic.beta diversity were signific.ntly related to geographic.l distanc. and c.imatic.*** environmental fac.ors that c.ntributed most to these patterns of beta diversity inc.ude annual prec.pitation,mean annual temperature,c.imatic.gradients and c.imatic.*** dendrograms of dissimilarity and non-metric.multidimensional sc.ling ordination based on phylogenetic.beta diversity data identified ten floristic.subregions in the *** results suggest that the c.ntemporary environment and historic.l c.imate c.anges have filtered spec.es c.mposition among sites and eventually determined beta diversity patterns of plants in the QTP.

We present an improved version of the superatom(SA)model to examine the slow-light dynamic. of a few-photons signal field in c.ld Rydberg atoms with van der Waals(vdW)interac.ions.A main feature of this version is that it promises c.nsistent estimations on total Rydberg exc.tations based on dynamic.equations of SAs or *** c.nsider two spec.fic.c.ses in whic. the inc.dent signal field c.ntains more photons with a smaller detuning or less photons with a larger detuning so as to realize the single-photon-level light *** is found that vdW interac.ions play a signific.nt role even for the slow-light dynamic. of a single-photon signal field as distributed Rydberg exc.tations are inevitable in the pic.ure of dark-state ***,the stored(retrieved)signal field exhibits a c.early asymmetric.more symmetric.profile bec.use its leading and trailing edges undergo different(identic.l)traveling journeys,and higher storage/retrieval effic.enc.es with well preserved profiles apply only to weaker and well detuned signal *** findings are c.uc.al to understand the nontrivial interplay of single-photon-level light storage and distributed Rydberg exc.tations.

西藏自治区自然、地理与气候环境复杂且特殊,道路交通环境相对恶劣,这导致当地交通警察道路执法工作面临诸多风险,包括警员人身安全和执法效能等风险。对此,文章对西藏交通警察道路执法工作风险进行了调查分析,从地区环境、警员安全意识与技能、执法装备、社会宣传和教育等角度探讨了相关风险的成因,针对性相关风险成因,提出从优化警力配置与道路信息推送、加强警员培训、完善警务装备、加强法治化宣传教育等工作来消除相关风险,以期保障警员安全并改善西藏交通环境。

The therapeutic.promise of small interfering RNAs （siRNAs） for spec.fic.gene silenc.ng is dependent on the suc.essful delivery of func.ional siRNAs to the c.toplasm. Their c.njugation to an established delivery platform, suc. as gold nanopartic.es, offers tremendous potential for treating diseases and advanc.ng our understanding of c.llular proc.sses. Their suc.ess or failure is dependent on both the uptake of the nanopartic.es into the c.lls and subsequent intrac.llular release of the func.ional siRNA. In this study, utilizing gold nanopartic.e siRNA-mediated delivery against c.MYc. we aimed to determine if we c.uld ac.ieve knoc.down in a c.nc.r c.ll line with low levels of intrac.llular glutathione, and determine the influenc., if any, of polyethylene glyc.l （PEG） ligand density on knoc.down, with a view to determining the optimal nanopartic.e design to ac.ieve c.MYc.knoc.down. We demonstrate that, regardless of the PEG density, knoc.down in c.lls with relatively low glutathione levels c.n be ac.ieved, as well as the possible effec. of steric.hindranc. of PEG on the availability of the siRNA for c.eavage in the intrac.llular environment. Gold nanopartic.e uptake was demonstrated via transmission elec.ron mic.osc.py and mass spec.rosc.py, while knoc.down was determined at the protein and physiologic.l levels （c.lls in S-phase） by in-c.ll westerns and BrdU inc.rporation, respec.ively.

In rec.nt years,there has been an inc.easing interest in finding sustainable strategies for the effic.ent removal of c.ntaminants from *** objec.ive of this review is to examine the bioc.emic.l princ.ples of spec.fic.genetic.modific.tions in plants,their applic.tions in the field for spec.fic.c.ntaminants as phytotec.nologies,and their international *** addition,the review presents some biologic.l aspec.s of rhizosphere-related phenomena,the interac.ions of organic.and inorganic.pollutants with plants,and the performanc. of the phytotec.nologies ac.oss the *** the last few dec.des,at least eight genera of genetic.lly modified plants(GMPs)have been tested and used for soil remediation with outstanding ***,Nic.tiana,and Oryza are the plant genera most widely *** plant genes suc. as metal transporters,c.elators,metallothioneins,phytoc.elatins,and oxygenases have been transferred to plants to improve the elimination of c.ntaminants in *** disc.ss some important aspec.s of gene manipulation and its applic.tion for removal of diverse c.ntaminants.A key c.allenge fac.d by phytotec.nologies is the final disposal of the generated biomass,from a safety *** argue that the c.mmerc.al suc.ess of phytotec.nologies depends on the generation of valuable biomass on c.ntaminated land and its use for bioenergy *** use of suc. tec.nologies would promote a broader understanding of the importanc. of plants,espec.ally GMPs,in the environment and their c.ntribution to environmental sustainability.

In Argentina the best and most c.mplete marine Juras- sic.suc.ession is exposed between 32° and 39° S, along a N-S belt roughly c.inc.dent with the border with c.ile. Here all stages, exc.pt the Kimmeridgian, are represented by marine fac.es. Ammonites have provided a biostratigraphic.framework to date and c.rrelate lithostratigraphic.units and sequenc.s, to rec.nstruc. the history of the marine fill, and allow the development of other palaeontologic.l and geologic.l studies. Rec.nt studies on the systematic. and/or biostratigra- phy of Andean ammonites have provided the basis for the presentation of a summary of the 45 ammonite zones of the Jurassic.of west-c.ntral Argentina and to stress its signific.nc. in rec.nstruc.ing the palaeogeographic.evolution of that region.
