Evaluation of the Whole Body scanner in the Management of severe Traumas at Armentieres Hospital Centre (France): scanographic and Clinical Correlation about 180 Cases

Goal: This study aims to evaluate the contribution of the whole body scanner in the management of severe traumas. Patient and Method: It is a retrospective analytical study, carried out at the Armentieres Hospital Centre (France) over a period of 14 months. It analyzes computed tomography reports and emergency department results of severe trauma patients immediately stabled at the entrance or stabilized after benefiting from a full body scanner according to Vittel criteria. Results: One hundred eighty patients were included in the study with an average age of 32.71 yea.s old. One hundred and twelve patients (62.2%) had at least one clinical sign and only 48 patients presented a lesion on the computed tomography (26.7%). sixty-two patients (34.4%) showed neither clinical signs nor damage in scan. The radio-clinical correlation was bad at spinal and abdominal level, mediocre at brain and chest level, but it was medium in the pelvis. The average radiation dose per patient was 3319.21 mGy⋅cm. Conclusion: The whole body computed tomography or scanning allows fast images acquisition compatible with emergency situation and with a.satisfactory diagnostic reliability, but still remains an irradiating exam. The results of this study lead to reflect on the use of Vittel criteria that could be improved to reduce the number of normal tests carried out.

strong>Introduction:strong> Burnout syndrome is one of the many forms of suffering at work that affects healthcare professiona.s. It is still little diagnosed in Benin. strong>Objectives:strong> the objective was to a.sess the prevalence of burnout among the nursing staff of a Zone Hospital (HZ) in Cotonou. strong>study Methods:strong> This was a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study, which took place from september to October 2019 and included all personnel a.signed to care. This has been submitted to the Malasch Burnout Inventory (MBI). The data collected was analyzed using sTATa.software version 15. A logistic regression made it possible to identify those a.sociated with burnout. The significance level was 5%. strong>Result: strong>A total of 173 caregivers were included, including 118 women, for a.sex ratio of 0.47. The mean age was 39 ± 10.1 yea.s. The study population consisted of 33.5% nursing a.sistants, 24.3% nurses, 24.2% physicia.s, 7.5% midwives, and 8.6% other health professiona.s. The prevalence of burnout was 30.6% of which 2.3% were severe cases. As a result of burnout, 33% of officers and 19.08% experienced depersonalization and 10.4% experienced a.sense of low personal achievement. The a.sociated factors identified were female sex (p s on this lack of availability towards her family (p = 0.04), and work in a poor professional climate (p = 0.03). strong>Conclusion:strong> the prevalence of burnout among caregivers is high. Improving the professional climate and family relations are avenues for prevention.

1960年10月25日，中国与马里两国正式建交。自从建交以来，中国与马里两国的关系始终健康、平稳地向前发展。中国与马里两国友谊源远流长，马里是撒哈拉以南非洲最早与中国建交的国家之一。半个多世纪以来，中国与马里两国在政治、经济、文化科教等领域取得了丰硕的合作成果。中国与马里两国都是发展中国家，且目前都处于重要的发展阶段。因此，探讨中国与马里双边关系，加强中国与马里友好交往，扩大双方务实合作，具有深远意义。笔者基于对中国与马里两国关系发展历史的探析，分析了中国与马里两国在政治、经济以及科教文化等领域的双边合作关系，分析了中国与马里关系中存在的主要问题，并提出了相应的解决建议，最后，笔者对中国与马里关系的发展前景进行了预测分析，旨在为进一步加强中国与马里关系提供可参考性意见。

We report a case of ambiguous genitalia in a 15-year-old patient to demonstrate input of medical imaging in the diagnosis and care of this rare congenital deformation. Disorders of sexual differentiation (DsD) have been defined as congenital conditions in which development of chromosome, gonad, or anatomic sex is atypical and that ra.se an issue in the sex a.signment. In lower socioeconomic countries where antenatal diagnosis is almost non-existent, due to lack of technical facilities, their medical and surgical management is hard. The case which we report was investigated by ultrasonography and genitography, which remains primary indications in our context.

The aim of this study was to clarify the interest of standard radiography in the management of Ollier’s disease. Observation: Enchondromas are benign lesions that may present on imaging with nonspecific features in children, and they are relatively large lesions, with frequent endosteal erosion and rare matrix mineralization. We report a case of predominantly right-sided multifocal enchondromatosis in a 5-year-old girl with no known medical history, diagnosed fortuitously on standard radiography during a trauma a.sessment and confirmed by histology. No sign of pain was noted after a 6-month follow-up. But the radiographic control noted signs of diffuse osteoarthritic remodeling in the surgical areas and early fusion of the growth cartilages. Conclusion: Ollier’s disease is rare, you have to know how to think about it in the face of fortuitous discoveries, especially at an early age. Enchondromas are benign lesions that may present on imaging with nonspecific features in children. In all cases, standard radiography is essential in the diagnosis and follow-up of Ollier’s disease.

Highly prized by consumers, watermelon is rich in water, but a.so in micronutrients including lycopene, pigment responsible for the red color. It is also a powerful antioxidant which has many virtues including the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. The transformation into nectar of watermelons combined with treatment could cause several modifications including the alteration of coloring. It is in this context that this study focuses on the variation of the lycopene content in nectars. Oral diseases belong to non-communicable diseases. They are characterized by their importance especially in disadvantaged areas. The objective of this study was to measure the extent and severity of caries among rural populations of Widou, an area located in central Ferlo. It was a descriptive and cross-sectional study which involved 300 individua.s selected using simple random sampling. The socio-demographic characteristics collected were sex, age, educational level and occupation. The dental status was rated by the prevalence of dental caries and DMF and its components. The data were analyzed with the software Epi info 3.4.5 with 5% of threshold statistical significance. The prevalence of dental caries was 89%. The mean DMF was 5.4 ± 5.6 with a maximum of 26. The mean of component “D” was 3.8 with a maximum of 24. Variables significantly a.sociated with dental caries were sex (p = 0.012) and occupation (p = 0.03). The extent and severity of caries in rural areas of the Ferlo evoke a relatively low support or management and require efforts in prevention, directed on oral hygiene and dietary habits.

Periodontal Disease of Pregnant Women and Low Weight Newborn in senegal: A Case-Control study

The aim of this work was to study the connection between periodontal diseas of women during their pregnancy and the weight of newborn infants the women gave birth to. Method: It was a case-control study and carried out on the outskirts of Dakar (senegal). The sample consisted of 129 mothers with infants of weight se) and 258 mothers with infants of weight ≥ 2500 g (control). The socio-demographic variables, patterns of life, history and outcome of pregnancy were collected. The variables relating to periodontal status included the plaque index, inflammation, bleeding, loss of clinical attachment and pocket depth. Data were analyzed by the R software. Logistic regression had identified a.sociations on the threshold of 5%. Results: The proportions of mothers with periodontitis were 70.6% among cases versus 33% in controls. Periodontitis was significantly a.sociated with low weight (OR = 4 [2.3 - 5.7] 4) adjusted on age, BMI and other periodontal indices. Conclusion: periodontal disease appea.s to be involved in the occurrence of low birth weight in the African context. The introduction of an oral component in prenatal consultations is therefore necessary for the health of mothers and their children.

Differential Diagnosis Difficulty between Biliary Cystadenoma and Cystaadenocarcinoma of the Liver: A Case Report

Biliary cystadenoma is a multilocular cystic benign tumor which arises in the intrahepatic biliary system. Diagnosis is often difficult and based on imaging, however histology remains the only argument for diagnosis certainty. We report a case of biliary cystadenoma in a 69-year-old female. Observation: it was a 69-year-old female with history of RHUPUs syndrome (Lupus + Rheumatoid arthritis) under low-dose corticosteroid therapy. she presented with pain in the right hypochondrium with permanent moderate intensity for 3 months a.sociated to altered performance status. Physical examination showed a hepatomegaly, cervical subluxation, and pulmonary condensation syndrome. Hepatobiliary ultrasound showed presence of multiple septate cystic formations occupying segments 1, 7, 8, 5 of the left liver. Abdominal CT scan and hepatic MRI were in favor of biliary cystadenoma but could not rule out biliary cystadenocarcinoma with certainty. Conclusion: biliary cystadenoma is a benign cystic tumor of the liver. The differential diagnosis with cystadenocarcinoma is most often difficult and usually requires histological analysis for diagnostic certainty.

Introduction: Hypogonadism should be suspected in a man who has symptoms and signs of testosterone deficiency. Clinical manifestations depend on the severity and duration of testosterone deficiency, whether the testicular deficit is concerning only androgen synthesis, spermatogenesis, or both. The objective of our study was to evaluate the clinical and aetiological characteristics of male hypogonadism in Dakar’s suburb. Patients and methods: We conducted a tra.sversal study from January 1sup>stsup>, 2020 to July 31sup>stsup>, 2022. We included all male patients aged at least 14 yea.s old with hypogonadism confirmed by a low level of early-morning free testosterone based on two different dosages. For all patients included, sociodemographic and diagnostic parameters were collected by using a pre-established registration form. Results: In total, 20 patients were selected. The average age was 36.3 yea.s old [14 - 62 yea.s old]. Half of the patients were overweight. Five patients had an abdominal circumference greater than 94 cm (37 inches). The other comorbidities found in our patients were type 2 diabetes (n = 1), hypertension (n = 1) and primary hypercholesterolemia in 2 patients. The functional signs reported by the patients were: couple’s infertility in 17 patients, decreased libido in 14 patients, erectile dysfunction in 13 patients, premature ejaculation in 2 patients and anejaculation in 4 patients. The physical examination revealed a bilateral testicular atrophy in 17 patients and a unilateral testicular atrophy in 2 patients;no patient had varicocele or urethral meatus abnormalities. Ten patients presented a micropenis. A eunuchoid morphotype was present in 6 patients and a.short stature was noted in 2 patients. It was peripheral hypogonadism (HH) in 18 patients and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (Hh) in 2 patients. The hypogonadotropic hypogonadism was isolated in both cases.
