Risk Stratification in obstetrics: An Integrated Approach to Maternal Health

Introduction: Prenatal care is crucial for maternal and fetal health, highlighting the importance of obstetric risk stratification. This enables personalized care, avoiding unnecessary interventions and reducing costs. Conditions such as first trimester bleeding, spontaneous abortion, gestational trophoblastic disease, and ectopic pregnancy require specific approaches. Early identification of these complications is vital, especially in urgent and emergency obstetric cases, which demand immediate hospital attention. objective: Comprehensive review of first trimester pathologies and gestational hypertension, focusing on obstetric risks and personalized prenatal management. Methods: Literature review on bleeding and gestational hypertension. Results: The study provides a detailed analysis of pathologies associated with first trimester uterine bleeding and hypertensive disorders, focusing on obstetric risk stratification. The main causes of maternal and fetal mortality are hypertensive disorders, hemorrhages, infections, childbirth complications, and abortion. Spontaneous abortion is common, with different classifications, ranging from threatened to missed abortion. Infected abortion is a severe complication. Brazil has restrictive abortion laws, but many unsafe abortions occur, resulting in high public health costs. Pharmacological treatment with misoprostol is a safe option. other pathologies include gestational trophoblastic disease, ectopic pregnancy, and placenta previa. Preeclampsia and eclampsia are severe conditions requiring immediate treatment to avoid complications. Conclusion: Early identification and management of obstetric risk factors, such as uterine bleeding, are essential for positive maternal and fetal outcomes. A multidisciplinary approach is fundamental.

Can rainfall seasonality trigger soil water repellency in a tropical riparian forest?

Though riparian areas generally have a shallow water table and higher soil moisture compared to up slope areas,climatic seasonality may trigger water repellency in tropical riparian forests,which,if persistent,could negatively affect essential ecosystem functions related to water resources protection such as reduced overland-flow,sediment transport,and nutrient *** objective of this study was to answer the following:can tropical riparian forests develop water repellency?If so,does water repellency affect infiltration on a seasonal basis?For this,water repellency and infiltration were measured in a grid of 72points during a dry and a wet month of a tropical riparian forest with a shallow water table in a region with highly marked climatic *** repellency and infiltration were significantly different between the wet and dry *** repellency affected negatively infiltration in the dry month,its effect in the wet month was *** a result,a higher infiltration capacity was observed over the wet *** research has claimed that the development and persistence of repellency in soils could promote other hydrological processes such as overland *** findings shown here demonstrate that such phenomenon does not persist longer than the dry season.

Circulation of Immunosuppressive Viruses and Avian Encephalomyelitis Virus in Backyard Chicken Flocks

The objective of this study was to evaluate the circulation of Chicken Anemia Virus (CAV), Infectious Bursal Disease Virus (IBDV), Avian Reovirus (ARV) and Avian Encephalomyelitis virus (AEV) in properties of backyard chickens and carry out an epidemiological analysis. We evaluated 200 samples of chickens from 19 backyard chicken property. only one property (P10) did not present serological titers for the diseases evaluated. This property is close to industrial farms as well as the other properties, however, P10 remained a few years without the breeding of chicks and these were the first poultry to be housed on site. This reinforces the importance of the fallow period for poultry production. The prevalence of virus-seroreactive birds was 78% (156/200), 64.5% (129/200), 78% (156/200), 78% (156/200) for CAV, IBDV, ARV and, EA, respectively. All the free-range farms studied are within a radius of 500 meters to 6 Km away from some establishments of industrial poultry. There was a correlation between serological titers for CAV and the frequency of disease in poultry (r = 0.6178). In places where birds are frequently sick, 30.76% reported that the disease occurs in chicks, 30.76% in broilers, 23.07% in broiler chickens and 7.69% in birds of all ages. Birds get sick more often in the summer period. The owners reported that the most common signs of disease were respiratory signs (snoring and nasal discharge) (46.15%), diarrhea (30.76%), and paralysis of wings and/or paws (38.46%). There was a correlation between the presence of untreated water in the property and serological titers for ARV (r = 0.5576). This report draws attention not only to high serological prevalence for the viruses studied but also important epidemiological aspects of backyard chicken diseases that may indirectly influence the industrial production.

Mammary health is issue faced by public health nurses and the science follows new ways into this thematic area of learning course wares. The purpose of this study was to construct and to validate a distance course for mammary health promotion for nurses. Methodological proposal has been composed of five stages: 1) analysis and planning, 2) modeling, 3) implementation, 4) evaluation and maintenance and 5) distribution. A total of nine experts as research population were consulted who were expert judges of nursing, pedagogy and web designer, three of each specific area, which were included in the study. The variables that had concordance index of 50% were: graphic designer pages favors learning, the user has easy navigation, the learning of the student experience, the environment provides interdisciplinary, content is built on process rather than there is a unique sequence, allows access to the available environment and holds a discussion on the subject. The distance learning course is intended to broaden and to enrich the living spaces and construct their own knowledge, favors interactivity, communication, autonomy and cooperation between the participants and provides access to educational technologies.

Lasertherapy as A Strategy for Treatment Healing under Caloric Restriction – Study in Rats

Complications in the healing process are challenging, especially in clinical situations of caloric restriction （CR）. The lasertherapy becomes an important strategy that aids the repair, especially in CR. Thus, it is important to investigate the InGaAlP-660 nm laser as an strategy to repair cutaneous wounds in rats submitted to 30% of CR and to understand the tissue repair in clinical situations of CR. Thirty-six male Wistar rats were used, of which half were fed with 30% less ration, and half with ad libitum diet, for 21 days. Then, punch lesions of 1.5 cm in diameter were made on the animals backs, which were divided into： NR （no-restricted）, R （restricted）-both before lesion; C （control）, RC （restricted-control）, L （laser）, RL （restricted-laser）-after lesion. Samples of the skin/lesion/scar were collected on the 2nd, 7th and 14th days post-injury for histological, biochemical and molecular analyses. The R group showed reduction of body mass, epidermal/dermal thickness, inflammation, angiogenesis, fibroplasia and collagenesis. The RL group showed control of inflammation, oxidative damage and increase of antioxidants than RC, which probably favored angiogenesis, collagenesis and reepithelialization, similar to C and L. Thus, 30% of CR impaired the skin （before lesion）. In the lesion, lasertherapy has shown to be effective in tissue repair mainly in CR status, being thus, the laser clinically important strategy to tissue repair in critical situations of caloric restriction.

development of synthetic bone substitutes has arisen as a major research interest in the need to find an alternative to autologous bone *** an ovine model,the present pre-clinical study presents a synthetic bone graft(BonelikeVR)in combination with a cellular system as an alternative for the regeneration of non-critical *** association of biomaterials and cell-based therapies is a promising strategy for bone tissue *** stem cells(MSCs)from human dental pulp have demonstrated both in vitro and in vivo to interact with diverse biomaterial systems and promote mineral deposition,aiming at the reconstruction of osseous ***,these cells can be found and isolated from many ***-critical bone defects were treated with BonelikeVR with or without MSCs obtained from the human dental *** showed that BonelikeVR and MSCs treated defects showed improved bone regeneration compared with the defects treated with BonelikeVR ***,it was observed that the biomaterial matrix was reabsorbed and gradually replaced by new bone during the healing *** therefore propose this combination as an efficient binomial strategy that promotes bone growth and vascularization in non-critical bone defects.
