This paper deals with a design approach of a gait training machine based on a quantitative gait analysis. The proposed training machine is composed of a body weight support device and a cable-driven parallel robot. This paper is focused on the cable-driven robot, which controls the pose of the lower limb through an orthosis placed on the patient＇s leg. The cable robot reproduces a normal gait movement through the motion of the orthosis. A motion capture system is used to perform the quantitative analysis of a normal gait, which will be used as an input to the inverse dynamic model of the cable robot. By means of an optimization algorithm, the optimal design parameters, which minimize the tensions in the cables, are determined. Two constraints are considered, i.e., a non-negative tension in the cables at all times, and a free cable/end-effector collision. Once the optimal solution is computed, a power analysis is carried out in order to size the robot actuators. The proposed approach can be easily extended for the design study of a similar type of cable robots.

The vast diversity of morphologies,body size,and lifestyles of snakes represents an important source of information that can be used to derive bio-inspired robots through a biology-push and pull *** understanding of the detailed kinematics of swimming snakes is a fundamental prerequisite to conceive and design bio-inspired aquatic snake ***,only limited information is available on the kinematics of swimming *** and accurate methods are needed to fill this knowledge *** the present paper,three existing methods were compared to test their capacity to characterize the kinematics of swimming snakes.(1)Marker tracking(deftac),(2)Markerless pose estimation(deepLabCut),and(3)Motion capture were considered.(4)We also designed and tested an automatic video processing *** methods provided different albeit complementary data sets;they also involved different technical issues in terms of experimental conditions,snake manipulation,or processing *** tracking provided accurate data that can be used to calibrate other *** capture posed technical difficulties but can provide limited 3d *** pose estimation required deep learning(thus time)but was efficient to extract the data under various experimental ***,automatic video processing was particularly efficient to extract a wide range of data useful for both biology and robotics but required a specific experimental setting.

AIM:To study the differential expression of proteins between natural taurine treated hepatic stellate cells and controls, and investigate the underlying regulatory mechanism of natural taurine in inhibiting hepatic ***: A proteomic strategy combining two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and ultraperform ance liquid chromatographyelectrospray ionizationtandem mass spectrometry (UPLCESIMS/MS) was used to study the differential expression of proteins and Western blotting was used to validate the results. Gene ontology (GO) method was utilized to analyze the functional enrichment of differentially expressed proteins. Flow cytometry was performed to compare the apoptosis rate between taurinetreated and untreated hepatic stellate cells (HSCs).RESULTS: Nineteen differentially expressed proteins (11 upregulated and 8 downregulated) were identifiedby 2d/MS, and the expression profiles of GLO1 and ANXA1 were validated by Western blotting. GO analysis found that these differentially expressed proteins were enriched within biological processes such as "cellular apoptosis", "oxidation reaction" and "metabolic process" in clusters. Flow cytometric analysis showed that taurinetreated HSCs had a significantly increased apoptosis rate when compared with the control ***: Natural taurine can promote HSC apoptosis so as to inhibit hepatic fibrosis.

BACKGROUNd: Biliary atresia, the etiology of which still remains unclear, occurs exclusively in newborns and most are infected with rotavirus. In this study, we a.med to investigate the histopathological patterns of different kinds of rotavirus in the liver and biliary tract of neonatal mice and the expression of NF-kappa B in the liver and biliary tract of infected mice. METHOdS: Twenty-three adult mice (8 were male and 15 female) were divided into 8 breeding pairs, and each pair (I male and 2 females) was housed in a cage in a laminar flow hood. Newborn mice, 24-48 hours old were randomly divided into A, B and C groups. The A and B groups were respectively inoculated with MMU18006 and SA11 rotavirus through the intraperitoneal route, while group C as blank control was only inoculated with culture medium. The liver was dissected after 5, 10, 15, 21 and 28 days; the weight of each mouse and the histopathological patterns in the liver were recorded. The expression of NF-kappa B in the liver and intrahepatic bile ducts was detected by immunohistochemical staining and the expression intensity was analyzed with a GT-2 imaging instrument. RESULTS: The average increase in weight of infected mice was significantly slower than that of the normal control, while the growth rate of group A (injected with MMU18006 rotavirus) was slower than that of group B (SA11 rotavirus). In infected mice, the acute and chronic inflammation of liver and intra- and extra-hepatic bile ducts was more significant in group A. Stenosis was found in most intrahepatic bile ducts, and sporadically in extrahepatic bile ducts. The expression of NF-kappa B in infected mice was dramatically higher than that of the normal control, while the expression in group A was higher than in group B. CONCLUSIONS: Significant damage to the liver and biliary tract of neonatal mice can be induced by inoculating MMU18006 rotavirus through the intraperitoneal route, which is very similar to the pathology of biliary atresi

Cerebral lipiodol embolism (CLE) is an extremely rare complication of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The authors present a case of CLE that occurred after the second hepatic arterial chemoembolization for HCC, and attempt to introduce several plausible mechanisms of CLE, after reporting the clinical and radiological findings and reviewing the medical literature.

AIM:To compare the clinical outcomes between jejunal interposition reconstruction and Roux-en-Y anastomosis after total gastrostomy in patients with gastric ***:A systematic literature search was conducted by two independent researchers on Pub med,EMBASE,the Cochrane Library,Google Scholar,and other English literature databases,as well as the Chinese Academic Journal,Chinese Biomedical Literature database,and other Chinese literature databases using "Gastrostomy","Roux-en-Y",and "Interposition" as *** extraction and verification were performed on the literature included in this *** Man 5.2 software was used for data processing.A fixed-effects model was applied in the absence of heterogeneity between studies.A random effects model was applied in the presence of heterogeneity between ***:Ten studies with a total of 762 gastric cancer patients who underwent total gastrostomy were included in this *** them,357 received jejunal interposition reconstruction after total gastrostomy,and 405 received Roux-en-Y *** with Roux-en-Y anastomosis,jejunal interposition reconstruction significantly decreased the incidence of dumping syndrome(OR = 0.18,95%CI:0.10-0.31;P d the prognostic nutritional index [weighted mean difference(WMd) = 6.02,95%CI:1.82-10.22;P d improved the degree of postoperative weight loss [WMd = 2.47,95%CI:-3.19-(-1.75);P difference in operative time,hospital stay,or incidence of reflux ***:Compared with Roux-en-Y anastomosis,patients who underwent jejunal interposition reconstruction after total gastrostomy had a lower risk of postoperative long-term complications and improvedlife quality.

Background：Two types of pancreatic duct stents are used to improve postoperative outcomes of pancreatic *** aim of this meta-analysis was to evaluate and compare the postoperative outcomes of patients with internal or external stenting during pancreaticoduodenectomy（Pd）.Methods：We searched Pub med,EMBASE,the Cochrane Library and Web of Science databases until the end of december,*** comparing outcomes of external *** stent placement in Pd were eligible for *** literature was extracted and assessed by two independent ***：Seven articles were identified for inclusion：three randomized controlled trials（RCTs）and four observational clinical studies（OCS）.The meta-analyses revealed that use of external stents had advantage on reducing the incidences of pancreatic fistula（PF）in total[odds ratio（OR）=0.69;95%confidence interval（CI）,0.48-0.99;P=0.04],PF in soft pancreas（OR=0.30;95%CI,0.16-0.56;P=0.0002）and delayed gastric emptying（dGE）（OR=0.58;95%CI,0.38-0.89;P=0.01）compared with internal *** were no significant differences in other postoperative outcomes between two stenting methods,including postoperative morbidity（OR=0.93;95%CI,0.39-2.23;P=0.88）,overall mortality（OR=0.70;95%CI,0.22-2.25;P=0.55）,and intra-abdominal collections（OR=0.67;95%CI,0.26-1.71;P=0.40）.Conclusions：Based upon this meta-analysis,the use of external pancreatic stents might have potential benefit in reducing the incidence of PF and *** to the limited number of original studies,more RCTs are needed to further support our result and clarify the issue.
