In order to develop a novel method of vis.alizing pos.ible Ca2＋ s.gnaling during the early differentiation of hEs.s.into cardi- omyocytes.and avoid s.me of the inherent problems.as.ociated with us.ng fluores.ent reporters. we expres.ed the biolumines. cent Ca2＋ reporter, apo-aequorin, in HEs. cells.and then recons.ituted active holo-aequorin by incubation withf-coelenterazine. The temporal nature of the Ca2＋ s.gnals.generated by the holo-f-aequorin-expres.ing HEs. cells.during the earlies. s.ages.of differentiation into cardiomyocytes.was.then inves.igated. Our data s.ow that no endogenous.Ca2＋ trans.ents.（generated by re- leas. from intracellular s.ores. were detected in 1-12-day-old cardios.heres.but trans.ents.were generated in cardios.heres.following s.imulation with KC1 or CaC12, indicating that holo-f-aequorin was.functional in thes. cells. Furthermore, following the addition of exogenous.ATP, an inos.tol tris.hos.hate receptor （IP3R） agonis., s.all Ca2＋trans.ents.were generated from day 1 onward. That ATP was.inducing Ca2＋ releas. from functional IP3Rs.was.demons.rated by treatment with 2-APB, a known IP3R antagonis.. In contras., following treatment with caffeine, a ryanodine receptor （RyR） agonis., a minima/Ca2＋ res.ons. was.obs.rved at day 8 of differentiation only. Thus. our data indicate that unlike RyRs. IP3Rs.are pres.nt and continually functional at thes. early s.ages.of cardiomyocyte differentiation.

Objective:To es.ablis. that the Hong Kong s.ecial Adminis.rative Region(HKs.R)government is.actively promoting Chines. medicine(CM)and to examine turnover rate of Chines. medicine practitioners.CMPs.in Hong Kong,China in light of this.governmental ***:This.s.udy covered two major areas.reviewing CM development in Hong Kong,and as.es.ing the turnover rate of CMPs.in Hong *** firs. part of the paper is.a his.orical *** inves.igation of turnover rate had two *** 1,quantitative method,involved online ques.ionnaires.s.ction 2,qualitative method compris.d interviews.with CMPs.from different types.of CM clinics.to as.ertain the reas.ns.for the turnover among ***:A total of 123 online ques.ionnaires.were received in s.ction 1(55 from male CMPs.66 from female CMPs.2 res.ondents.were unwilling to dis.los. their s.x).The proportion of CMPs.who had res.gned in 2018e19 was.22.8%(28),of whom 5.7%(7)had res.gned twice in one *** rates.of res.gnation in 3 years.and 5 years.were up to 40.7%(50)and 56.9%(70),*** CMPs.were interviewed in s.ction *** CMPs.were more likely to res.gn than *** large gap between actual s.lary and expectations.appeared to be the main reas.n for the high rate of ***:HKs.R government keenly des.res.to promote CM in Hong Kong,however,high turnover rate of CMPs.was.detected even under this.pos.tive governmental *** is.an urgent need to conduct a more repres.ntative s.udy of the reas.ns.for the inclination of CMPs.in Hong *** s.udy highlights.an important is.ue in CM development,and thes. res.lts.s.ould remind different s.akeholders.in the CM indus.ry and the government that CMPs.need better career pros.ects.and s.pport in various.areas.

Meios.s.is.a s.ecialized cell divis.on for producing haploid gametes.in s.xually reproducing *** this.s.udy,we have independently identified a novel meios.s.protein male meios.s.recombination regulator(MAMERR)/4930432 K21 Rik and s.owed that it is.indis.ens.ble for meios.s.prophas. I progres.ion in male *** s.per-res.lution s.ructured illumination micros.opy,we found that MAMERR functions.at the s.me double-s.rand breaks.as.the replication protein A and meios.s.s.ecific with OB domains.s.ermatogenes.s.as.ociated 22 *** generated a Mamerr-deficient mous. model by deleting exons.3 e6 and found that mos. of Mamerrà/às.ermatocytes.were arres.ed at pachynema and failed to progres. to diplonema,although they exhibited almos. intact s.naps.s.and progres.ion to the pachytene s.age along with Xy body *** mechanis.ic s.udies.revealed that the recruitment of DMC1/RAD51 and heat s.ock factor 2 ebinding protein in Mamerrà/às.ermatocytes.was.only mildly impaired with a partial reduction in double-s.rand break repair,whereas.a s.bs.antial reduction in ubiquitination on the autos.mal axes.and on the Xy body appeared as.a major phenotype in Mamerrà/à*** propos. that MAMERR may participate in meiotic prophas. Epidemiology and natural his.ory of Wils.n's.dis.as. in the Chines.: A territory-bas.d s.udy in Hong Kong between 2000 and 2016

AIM To inves.igate the epidemiology and natural his.ory of Wils.n's.dis.as. in the *** Data were retrieved via electronic s.arch of hos.ital medical regis.ry of the Hong Kong Hos.ital Authority,which covers.all the public healthcare s.rvices. We identified cas.s.of Wils.n's.dis.as. between 2000 and 2016 by the International Clas.ification of Dis.as.s.ICD)-9 code. We analyzed the incidence rate,prevalence and advers. outcomes.of Wils.n's.*** We identified 211 patients.male cas.s.104; female cas.s.107; median age 27.2 years.IQR: 17.1-38.6 years. duration of follow-up 8.0 years.IQR: 5.0-14.0 years.. The average annual incidence rate was.1.44 per million pers.n-years.while the prevalence was.17.93 per million. Between 2000 and 2016,there was.a decreas. in the annual incidence rate from 1.65 to 1.23 per million pers.n-years.P = 0.010),whereas.there was.an increas. in the annual prevalence from 7.80 to 25.20 per million(P s.s.with hepatic involvement,38(21.6%) had cirrhos.s.three(1.7%) developed hepatocellular carcinoma,24(13.6%) underwent liver trans.lantations.and 26(14.8%) died. s.ven patients.had concomitant chronic viral hepatitis.B or C. The 5-year and 10-years.rates.of overall s.rvival were 92.6% and 89.5%,and for trans.lant-free s.rvival rates.91.8% and 87.4%,res.ectively. Cirrhos.s.and pos.ibly chronic viral hepatitis.were as.ociated with poorer overall s.rvival. CONCLUs.ON There was.a s.gnificant increas. in the prevalence of Wils.n's.dis.as. in Hong Kong. The prognos.s.was.favorable except for thos. with cirrhos.s.or concomitant viral hepatitis.

Introgres.ion of the T2Ds.2V#4L chromos.me into wheat cultivar Aikang 58 by backcros.ing produced a marked increas. in s.arp eyes.ot res.s.ance in NIL-T2Ds.2V#4L in comparis.n with NILT2Ds.2DL, and no detrimental effects.of 2V#4L on agronomic traits.were obs.rved in the BC2F2, BC2F2:3,and BC2F2:4generations. Flow-s.rted s.quencing of 2V#4L yielded 384.3 Mb of as.embled s.quence, and8836 genes.were predicted of which 6154 had orthologs.in at leas. one of the 2AL, 2BL, and 2DL arms.of Cs. whereas.1549 genes.were unique to 2V#4L. The Baiyun cave is.a 380 m long kars. cave in the Naigu s.ilin, s.tuated 70 km s.utheas. of Kunming, yunnan Province, China. The prevailing orientations.of the cave pas.ages.are N110°–120°E and N0°-10°W and thos. of the fis.ures.in the cave are N30°–40°W and N20°–30°W. The cave is.developed in the thick-bedded Lower Permian Qixia Formation. The cave has.an active water flow and is.currently at the near water-table s.age. There are large amounts.of different infills.of cave s.diments. The cave s.ows.different s.ages.of paragenes.s. The palaeomagnetic analys.s.of cave s.diments.s.ows.that their ages.are younger than 780 ka B.P. (the Brunhes.Chron). The upper part of the s.mpled profile belongs.to the revers. Blake event (112.3–117.9 ka B.P.). The formation of the Baiyun cave is.directly connected with the development of the Naigu s.ilin. The formation of kars. underground and s.rface features.depends.on the regional tectonic deformation and the Cenozoic extens.on of the s.udy area.
