Most ground filtering algorithms are primarily designed for airborne LiDAR point cloud processing and their successful use in identifying ground points from photogrammetric point clouds remains *** compared six ground filtering algorithms implemented in Metashape,ArcGIS,CloudCompare,LAStools,and *** used UAV photogrammetry-based(acquired under leaf-off conditions)and airborne LiDAR(leaf-on)point clouds of the same area to:(i)compare accuracy of generated DTMs;(ii)evaluate the effect of vegetation density and terrain slope on filtering accuracy;and(iii)assess which algorithm parameters have the greatest effect on the filtering *** results show that the performance of filtering algorithms was affected by the point cloud type,terrain slope and vegetation *** results were generally better for LiDAR(RMSE 0.13–0.19 m)than for photogrammetric(RMSE 0.19–0.23 m)point *** behavior in varying vegetation and terrain conditions was consistent for LiDAR point ***,when applied on photogrammetric point clouds,the algorithms’behavior was inconsistent,especially in areas of steep slope(except for the Progressive Triangulated Irregular Network in LAStools).Parameters related to the selection of the initial minimum elevation ground points were the most influential in all algorithms and point clouds.

The fertility of human-altered soils,Anthrosols,developed from past settlement activities for crop production is scarcely *** study evaluated the fertility of Anthrosols developed from the 15th to mid-20th century AD settlement in Old Buipe,Savanna region,Ghana,to determine whether abandoned localities are suitable for arable *** activities enhanced the physical attributes of the Anthrosols:brown to dark brown intergrain fine soil,15%−35%organic matter,15%−30%potsherd,and 5%−15%charred *** Anthrosols were slightly acidic to neutral reactions(pH_([H_(2)O])5.67−6.83,pH_([cacl_(2)])5.83−6.95),high cation exchange capacity(CEC;18.77−45.31me/100 g),electric conductivity(EC=0.28−0.36 dS m^(−1)),accumulation,and distribution of organic C,total N,P,Mn,Cu,Zn,K,and Fe,and available P,K,Ca,Mg,S,Mn,Fe,Cu,and ***-available nutrients were comparatively higher than concentrations in non-anthropogenic *** level of releasability(bioavailable fractions of total concentrations)of P,K,Ca,Mn,Fe,Cu,and Zn partly compensates for low plant-available *** of chemical and physical properties of Anthrosols make them fertile for arable *** signatures of settlement activities are strong and can remain in soils for a long time,even under harsh environmental conditions.

Strong ground motions caused by earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 3.5 to 6.9 and hypocentral distances of up to 300km were recorded by local broadband stations and three-component accelerograms within Georgia’s enhanced digital seismic *** data mixing is particularly effective in areas where strong ground motion data are *** data were used to produce models based on ground-motion prediction equations(GMPEs),one benefit of which is that they take into consideration information from waveforms across a wide range of *** this study,models were developed to predict ground motions for peak ground acceleration and 5%-damped pseudo-absolute-acceleration spectra for periods between 0.01 and 10 ***-period ground motions decayed faster than long-period motions,though decay was still in the order of approximately 1/*** mechanisms and local soil conditions greatly influence *** spectral acceleration(SA)of thrust faults was higher than that for either strike-slip or normal faults but the influence of strike-slip faulting on SA was slightly greater than that for normal *** soils also caused significantly more amplification than rocky sites.

Several animal studies indicate that mercury is a male reproductive toxicant, but human studies are few and contradictory. We examined semen characteristics and serum levels of reproductive hormones in relation to environmental exposure to mercury. Blood and semen samples were collected from 529 male partners of pregnant women living in Greenland, Poland and Ukraine between May 2002 and February 2004. The median concentration of the total content of mercury in whole blood was 9.2 ng ml-1 in Greenland （0.2- 385.8 ng ml-1）, 1.0 ng m1-1 in Poland （0.2-6.4 ng ml-z） and 1.0 ng ml-I in Ukraine （0.2-4.9 ng ml-1）. We found a significantly positive association between the blood levels of mercury and serum concentration of inhibin B in men from Greenland （p=0.074, 95% confidence interval （CI）=0.021 to 0.126） and in an analysis including men from all three regions （p=0.067, 95% C1=0.024 to O. 110）. The association may be due to beneficial effects of polyunsaturated fatty acids （PUFAs）, which are contained in seafood and fish. No significant association （P〉O.05） was found between blood concentrations of mercury and any of the other measured semen characteristics （semen volume, total sperm count, sperm concentration, morphology and motility） and reproductive hormones （free androgen index {FAI）, follicle-stimulating hormone （FSH）, luteinizing hormone （LH）, testosterone and LH xtestosterone） in any region. In conclusion, the findings do not provide evidence that environmental mercury exposure in Greenlandic and European men with median whole blood concentration up to 10 ng m1^-1 has adverse effects on biomarkers of male reproductive health.

BACKGROUND Insulinomas are the most common type of functioning endocrine neoplasms of the pancreas presenting hypoglycemic *** characteristically develop symptoms while fasting,but some patients have reported symptoms only in the postprandial *** and prolonged hypoglycemic episodes can reduce the awareness of adrenergic symptoms,and patients may have amnesia,which delays *** SUMMARY We describe a case of a 24-year-old underweight patient who showed hypoglycemic symptoms for almost 6 *** patients with insulinoma characteristically develop symptoms while fasting,this young man had hypoglycemic symptoms up to one hour postprandially,especially after highsugar meals and after physical *** fasting tests and imaging methods performed at local hospitals were evaluated as negative for abnormal ***,brown adipose tissue exhibited increased metabolic activity,and some muscle groups had histological changes as indicated by positron emission tomography with 2-deoxy-2-[fluorine-18]fluoro-D-glucose integrated with computed *** deficiency was also histologically *** patient’s symptoms progressed over the years and occurred more frequently,i.e.,several times a month,and the patient had reduced awareness of adrenergic *** follow-up fasting test was positive,and the imaging results showed a tumor in the head of the *** patient underwent laparotomy with enucleation of the *** Weight gain and fasting hypoglycemia are not necessarily characteristics of *** prolonged cases,adrenergic symptoms can be suppressed.

Myxomycete distribution patterns were investigated in a colony of great cormorants(Phalacrocorax carbo sinensis)established in a pine forest in the Curonian Spit,western *** impact on the forest resulted both in vegetation changes and altered types and characteristics of myxomycete *** lowest myxomycete species richness was found in the most active part of the colony with the newest and most numerous *** myxomycete assemblages of the active part of the colony also showed the biggest differences from the reference zone(oligotrophic pine forest).The general abundance of myxomycetes in the territory of the colony was higher due to the presence of the species that are not characteristic of pine *** most abundant species in the territory were Badhamia apiculospora and Perichaena *** with other facultative coprophiles,such rare species as Comatricha mirabilis and Arcyria leiocarpa were found sporulating in the *** Bray-Curtis ordination revealed a tripole gradient of myxomycete distribution in the *** was hypothesized that the first continuum may reflect myxomycete assemblage transition from hypertrophic to oligotrophic habitat;the second continuum may reflect myxomycete assemblage distribution from habitats with limited diversity of available substrata,extreme levels of nutrients and high pH to habitats with high diversity of available substrata,moderate to high levels of nutrients and pH,and the third continuum may reflect myxomycete assemblage distribution from habitats with lower diversity of available substrata,low levels of nutrients and pH to habitats with high diversity of available substrata,moderate to high levels of nutrients and pH.

In order to improve competitive ability of market, mo torcycle enterprises, special the small and middle sized ones must use IT to org anize social resource and adopt effective production mode, namely the dispersed networked design and manufacturing (DNDM), which was put forward and proved to b e one of vitality production modes in recent years. In responding to the new pro duction mode of VMCE, a dispersed networked CAD/CAM system (DNCADMS) of motorcyc le products should be developed. The objective of this paper is to investigate a new design and manufacturing mode and technical environment of motorcycle produ ction based on the concept of the DNDM for the small and meddle sized motorcycle enterprises. Because there are various CAx software systems, including differen t kinds of isolated CD, CAD, CAE, CAPP, CAM, PDM, and so on, are used at differe nt stages of the life period of motorcycle products under heterogeneous environm ents, to build a DNCADMS of motorcycle with high performance, some key issues, n amely the architecture of the DNCADMS, the integration of the isolated CAx softw are systems (CAxs), the data communication and exchange between these isolated s ystems and the data share problem under the dispersed heterogeneous database env ironment, should be solved well. For this, the idea we propose is the combinatio n of Web, CORBA, STEP and Java, which provides an effective mechanism to support the integration of isolated CAxs, and support communication and interoperabilit y among CAx systems. Each isolated CAx has been encapsulated respectively by a c ontainer, which is implemented by the ORBs and the IDL of the CobRA technology s tandard, and managed by the application index server.
