One-neutron stripping process between^(6)Li and^(209)Bi was studied at 28,30,and 34 MeV using the in-beamγ-ray spectroscopy ***γ-γcoincident analysis clearly identified twoγ-rays feeding the ground and long-lived isomeric states,which were employed to determine the cross *** one-neutron stripping cross sections were similar to the cross sections of complete fusion in the^(6)Li+^(209)Bi system,but the one-neutron stripping cross sections decreased more gradually at the sub-barrier region.A coupled-reaction-channel calculation was performed to study the detailed reaction mechanism of the one-neutron stripping process in^(6)*** calculations indicated that the first excited state of 5 Li is critical in the actual one-neutron transfer mechanism,and the valence proton of 209Bi can be excited to the low-lying excited state in(^(6)Li,^(5)Li)reaction,unlike in the(d,p)reaction.

Background Although smoking is classified as a risk factor for severe COVID-19 outcomes,there is a scarcity of studies on prevalence of smoking during the COVID-19 ***,this study aims to analyze the trends of prevalence of smoking in adolescents over the COVID-19 pandemic *** The present study used data from middle to high school adolescents between 2005 and 2021 who participated in the Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey(KYRBS).We evaluated the smoking prevalence(ever or daily)by year groups and estimated the slope in smoking prevalence before and during the *** A total of 1,137,823 adolescents participated in the study[mean age,15.04 years[95%confidence interval(CI)15.03-15.06];and male,52.4%(95%CI 51.7-53.1)].The prevalence of ever smokers was 27.7%(95%CI 27.3-28.1)between 2005 and 2008 but decreased to 9.8%(95%CI 9.3-10.3)in 2021.A consistent trend was found in daily smokers,as the estimates decreased from 5.4%(95%CI 5.2-5.6)between 2005 and 2008 to 2.3%(95%CI 2.1-2.5)in ***,the downward slope in the overall prevalence of ever smokers and daily smokers became less pronounced in the COVID-19 pandemic period than in the pre-pandemic *** the subgroup with substance use,the decreasing slope in daily smokers was significantly more pronounced during the pandemic than during the pre-pandemic *** The proportion of ever smokers and daily smokers showed a less pronounced decreasing trend during the *** findings of our study provide an overall understanding of the pandemic's impact on smoking prevalence in adolescents.

目的探讨十溴联苯醚(BDe-209)对小鼠宫颈癌皮下移植瘤大小、相关基因及信号通路的影响。方法40只雌性C57BL/6小鼠腋窝外侧皮下接种小鼠宫颈癌u14细胞,建立小鼠宫颈癌皮下移植瘤模型,随机分为高剂量组(500 mg/kg)、中剂量组(100 mg/kg)、低剂量组(20 mg/kg)和对照组(玉米油),采用灌胃方式给予相应剂量的BDe-209或玉米油。21 d后取皮下移植瘤组织,采用高通量转录组测序技术分析皮下移植瘤的差异表达基因,并进行基因本体论(GO)功能注释和京都基因与基因组百科全书(KeGG)富集分析;采用STRING数据库进行蛋白相互作用分析,并筛选关键基因;采用实时荧光定量PCR法测定关键基因mRNA的表达。结果与对照组、低剂量组、中剂量组相比,BDe-209高剂量组小鼠宫颈癌皮下移植瘤质量下降(均PeGG富集分析结果显示,高剂量组的差异表达基因主要富集于细胞趋化、NOD样受体信号通路等;中剂量组差异表达基因主要富集于细胞趋化、细胞因子-细胞因子受体的相互作用等;低剂量组差异表达基因主要富集于抗原的处理和呈递、补体和凝血级联信号通路等。与对照组相比,高剂量组TLR2、MMP9、il-6、Fos和TNF的mRNA表达上调(均Pe-209可能影响Toll样受体、NOD样受体等免疫及炎症相关信号通路及基因,使小鼠宫颈癌皮下移植瘤质量下降。

Variant selection in laser powder bed fusion of non-spherical Ti-6Al-4V powder

The presence ofα/αon priorβ/βgrain boundaries directly impacts the final mechanical properties of the titanium ***β/βgrain boundary variant selection of titanium alloys has been assumed to be unlikely owing to the high cooling rates in laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF).However,we hypothesize that powder characteristics such as morphology(non-spherical)and particle size(50–120μm)could affect the initial variant selection in L-PBF processed Ti-6Al-4V alloy by locally altering the cooling *** the high cooling rate found in L-PBF,results showed the presence ofβ/βgrain boundaryαlath growth inside two adjacent priorβ*** backscatter diffraction micrographs confirmed the presence ofβ/βgrain boundary variant selection,and synchrotron X-ray high-speed imaging observation revealed the role of the“shadowing effect”on the locally decreased cooling rate because of keyhole depth reduction and the consequentβ/βgrain boundaryαlath *** self-accommodation mechanism was the main variant selection driving force,and the most abundantα/αboundary variant was type 4(63.26°//[10553¯]).The dominance of Category IIαlath clusters associated with the type 4α/αboundary variant was validated using the phenomenological theory of martensite transformations and analytical calculations,from which the stress needed for theβ→αtransformation was calculated.

BACKGROuND： Gadolinium chloride（Gd Cl3） selectively inactivates Kupffer cells and protects against ischemia/reperfusion and endotoxin injury. However, the effect of Kupffer cell inactivation on liver regeneration after partial liver transplantation（PLTx） is not clear. This study was to investigate the role of Gd Cl3 pretreatment in graft function after PLTx, and to explore the potential mechanism involved in this ***： PLTx（30% partial liver transplantation） was performed using Kamada’s cuff technique, without hepatic artery reconstruction. Rats were randomly divided into the control low-dose（5 mg/kg） and high-dose（10 mg/kg） Gd Cl3 groups. Liver injury was determined by the plasma levels of alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase, liver regeneration by PCNA staining and Brd u uptake, apoptosis by TuNeL assay. il-6 and p-STAT3 levels were measured by eLISA and Western ***： Gd Cl3 depleted Kupffer cells and decreased animal survival rates, but did not significantly affect alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase（P〉0.05）. Gd Cl3 pretreatment induced apoptosis and inhibited il-6 overexpression and STAT3 phosphorylation after PLTx in graft ***： Kupffer cells may contribute to the liver regeneration after PLTx through inhibition of apoptosis and activation of the il-6/p-STAT3 signal pathway.

Association of interleukin-18 gene polymorphisms with Takayasu arteritis in a Chinese Han population

Background:Interleukin-18(il18)gene polymorphisms are related to many inflammatory and autoimmune ***,a correlation analysis between il18-607C/A and-137G/C gene polymorphisms and Takayasu arteritis(TA)is ***:This study enrolled 200 patients with TA as the case group and 334 region-,age-,and sex-matched healthy subjects as the control *** genotyped alleles and genotypes at positions-607 and-137 of the il18 gene and analyzed the distribution ***-Whitney u test,t test,Chi-squared test and Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium were ***:After adjusting for risk factors,the adjusted odds ratios and 95%confidence intervals at position-607C/A were 0.533,0.391 to 0.880(P=0.010);0.266,0.586 to 1.002(P=0.051);and 0.122,0.552 to 1.420(P=0.613)under the dominant,additive,and recessive models,*** the-137G/C polymorphism,the adjusted odds ratios and 95%confidence intervals were 1.571,1.068 to 2.311(P=0.022);1.467,1.086 to 1.980(P=0.012);and 1.815,0.901 to 3.656(P=0.095)under the dominant,additive,and recessive models,***,regardless of the model used,we found no statistical difference in distribution frequency between the active and quiescent states of TA for the-607C/A(P=0.355,0.631,and 0.705,respectively)and-137G/C polymorphisms(P=0.205,0.385,and 0.208,respectively).Conclusions:The il18-607C/A gene polymorphism may decrease the risk of TA,and thus is a protective factor,whereas-137G/C may increase the risk of TA,and thus is a risk ***,neither polymorphism was related to activity(active ***)of TA.

Fluorine-free electrolytes have attracted great attention because of its low-cost and environmental friendliness. However, so far, little is known about the solution structures of these electrolytes. Here,we compare the solvation phenomenon of sodium tetraphenylborate(NaBPh_(4)) salt dissolved in organic solvents of propylene carbonate(PC), 1,2-dimethoxyethane(DMe), acetonitrile(ACN) and tetrahydrofuran(THF). Small-angle X-ray scattering(SAXS) reveals a unique two-peak structural feature in this saltconcentrated PC electrolyte, while solutions using other solvents only have one scattering *** dynamics(MD) simulations further reveal that there are anion-based clusters in addition to the short-range charge ordering in the concentrated NaBPh4/PC electrolyte. Raman spectroscopy confirms the existence of considerable contact ion pairs(CIPs). This work emphasizes the importance of global and local structural analysis, which will provide valuable clues for understanding the structureperformance relationship of electrolytes.

The role of the cytokines in the pathogenesis of pseudoexfoliation syndrome

AIM:To examine the mechanism of the development of pseudoexfoliation (PSX) syndrome via both cytokine formation and endothelial vasorelaxing and growth factors that will provide us new therapeutic insights for the treatment. MeTHODS:This is a cross sectional study included two groups; Group 1:control patients with nuclear cataract(n =20, aged 51-80 years). Group 2:PSX patients with nuclear cataract (n=18, aged 50-90 years). Patients with other ophthalmic problems and systemic diseases were excluded. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VeGF), interleukin-6 (il-6) and interleukin-1β (il-1β) and nitrotyrosine levels were determined through serum samples by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (eLISA) method. Nitrite-nitrate levels were measured with photometric endpoint determination. ReSuLTS:There were no significant differences between the groups in terms of age, VeGF, il-1β, nitrite-nitrate and nitrotyrosine. The significant results were the mean il-6 levels that were higher in PSX group 2 (37.68± 29.52 pg/mL) compared to that in control group 1 (15.32± 10.08 pg/mL) (P uSION:Several interacting and extending biochemical pathways may lead to the promotion of VeGF and il-6 expressions. il-6 which is the only altered marker in our study may indirectly cause an increase of vascular permea.ility and neovascularization. We suggest inflammation as a factor that can be involved in etiopathogenesis of PSX.
