Histogram equalization using a reduced feature set of background speakers' utterances for speaker recognition

We propose a method for histogram equalization using supplement sets to improve the performance of speaker recognition when the training and test utterances are very short. The supplement sets are derived using outputs of selection or clustering algorithms from the background speakers' utterances. The proposed approach is used as a feature normalization method for building histograms when there are insufficient input utterance *** addition, the proposed method is used as an i-vector normalization method in an i-vector-based proba.ilistic linear discriminant analysis(PLDA) system, which is the current state-of-the-art for speaker verification. The ranks of sample values for histogram equalization are estimated in ascending order from both the input utterances and the supplement set. New ranks are obtained by computing the sum of different kinds of ranks. Subsequently, the proposed method determines the cumulative distribution function of the test utterance using the newly defined ranks. The proposed method is compared with conventional feature normalization methods, such as cepstral mean normalization(CMN), cepstral mean and variance normalization(MVN), histogram equalization(HEQ), and the European Telecommunications Standards institute(ETSi) advanced front-end methods. in addition, performance is compared for a case in which the greedy selection algorithm is used with fuzzy C-means and K-means *** YOHO and Electronics and Telecommunications Research institute(ETRi) databases are used in an evaluation in the feature space. The test sets are simulated by the Opus Vo iP codec. We also use the 2008 National institute of Standards and Technology(NiST) speaker recognition evaluation(SRE) corpus for the i-vector system. The results of the experimental evaluation demonstrate that the average system performance is improved when the proposed method is used, compared to the conventional feature normalization methods.

Preparation of AZ91D Slurries for Semi-Solid Forming Using Al8 ( Mn, Fe) 5 Precipitates

During the solidification of the AZ91D-alloys, the Al8(Mn, Fe)5 phase is generally precipitated in the melt in advance of the precipitation of the primary α-Mg. The basic principle for manufacturing AZ91D-alloy slurries for semi solid forming is to use the Al8(Mn, Fe)5 precipitates as the heterogeneous nucleation sites for primary α-Mg phases. Microscopic analysis for the location of the Al8(Mn, Fe)5 precipitate explains that the Al8(Mn, Fe)5 precipitate is the effective heterogeneous nucleation site for the primary α-Mg phase. it was also observed that increase of the Mn content in the melt and the cooling rate below to the solid/liquid two-phase region resulted in smaller and more globular primary α-Mg due to the increase of heterogeneous nucleation sites. it was found that the average α-Mg diameter grew as a function of t0.278, where t is the holding time at the solid/liquid two-phase region. This would be attributed to the Ostwald type ripening and coalescence between primary α-Mg phases. The cooling rate below to the solid/liquid two-phase region, Mn content in AZ91D alloy, and the holding time and temperature affected on the quality of slurry.

Assessment of Reusing Ferrochrome Slag Wastes in Mortar as SCMs

The demand for alternative cementitious materials is on the rise,as the cement causes huge energy consumption and produces greenhouse gas ***,there is economic potential for the construction industry to reuse wastes as supplementary building *** purpose of this study is to evaluate the potential of utilizing ferrochrome slag wastes in mortar as supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs),thereby achieving this double-sided ***,the mechanical and physical properties of ferrochrome slag wastes were investigated to be used as admixtures in concrete *** different cement mortar specimens were prepared by replacing cement with ferrochrome slag in ratios of 0,30%,and 60% by mass and flexural and compressive strengths of the specimens were determined at the ages of 7,28,56,90,and 180 ***,the effects of the ferrochrome slag replacement ratio on worka.ility,setting time and volume expansion were *** electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were also investigated to study the microstructural properties of the specimens containing ferrochrome *** on the results,it is concluded that ferrochrome slag wastes have pozzolanic activity,therefore reusing them as SCMs in the cement and concrete industry is convenient.

Objective:The purpose of the study was to identify the best sequence of therapy beginning with a tyrosine kinase inhibitor(TKi)as the first-line therapy for patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma(mRCC)in terms of overall survival(OS),progression-free survival(PFS),and rates of discontinuation and adverse effects during the treatment ***:This is a retrospective,nationwide multicenter study of patients with mRCC after diagnosis at 10 different tertiary medical centers in Korea from January 1992 to December *** focused on patients at either“favorable”or“intermediate”risk according to the international mRCC Database Consortium criteria,and they were followed up(median 335 days).Finally,a total of 1409 patients were selected as the study *** generated a Cox proportional hazard model adjusted for covariates,and the different therapy schemes were statistically tested in terms of OS as well as *** addition,frequencies of discontinuation and adverse events were compared among the therapy ***:Of the primary patterns of treatment sequences(24 sequences),“sunitinib epazopanib”and“sunitinibeeverolimuseimmunotherapy”showed the most beneficial results in both OS and PFS with significantly lower hazards than“sunitinib”,which is the most commonly treated agent in *** that the“TKieTKi”structure showed relatively higher discontinuation rates with higher adverse effects,the overall beneficial sequence would be“sunitinibeeverolimuseimmunotherapy”.Conclusion:Among several sequential therapy starting with TKis,“sunitinibeeverolimuse immunotherapy”was found to be the best scheme for mRCC patients with“favorable”or“intermediate”risks.

目的为研究支撑-半刚接钢框架结构体系的抗震性能,方法设计了一榀由嵌套式单边螺栓与T型钢构成的半刚性梁柱节点的中心支撑钢框架,并进行了拟静力试验与有限元数值模拟,通过观测整个试验现象,分析了其滞回、承载力、刚度退化、耗能等抗震指标。结果结果表明:试件破坏过程明显经历了弹性段、塑性段、破坏段三个阶段,试件破坏模式主要为支撑受压失稳破坏,塑性变形主要累积在支撑体系上,整体呈现延性破坏特征;支撑断裂后,梁柱及T型钢节点无明显塑性变形,钢框架仍具有较高的安全储备,符合“强节点、弱构件”设计原则,表明了结构具有两道抗震防线;结论支撑与半刚接钢框架协同工作使得试件具有较高的抗侧刚度抵抗水平变形,且承载力较高、滞回性能稳定、耗能能力优良;单边螺栓在试验过程中的受力性能较普通高强螺栓并无较大差别,未出现严重的预紧力松弛现象,并能高效的保持螺栓预紧力。通过有限元数值模拟分析可知,减小支撑长细比,虽能有效提高结构的抗震性能,但长细比较小会导致支撑刚度增大,加速其余构件的损坏。故应以考虑结构的延性为前提,降低支撑的长细比,才能有效提高结构的抗震性能。

背景红景天苷对糖尿病肾病(DKD)大鼠具有保护作用,但在低氧环境下是否同样起效及具体作用机制尚不明确。目的观察低氧环境下红景天苷对DKD大鼠模型血生化指标、肾组织病理损伤、肾脏细胞焦亡相关蛋白表达情况,并探讨其作用机制。方法 2022年3月—2023年3月40只6周龄SPF级SD雄性大鼠,随机抽取8只作为对照组,其余大鼠造模。将24只DKD成模大鼠随机分为模型组、红景天苷组、红景天苷+Nod样受体蛋白3(NLRP3)激活剂组进行干预,每组8只。干预结束后腹主动脉取血进行生化指标检测,苏木素-伊红(HE)染色及透射电镜观察大鼠肾脏病理改变情况,酶联免疫吸附试验(ELiSA)检测大鼠血清白介素(il)1β、il-18水平。免疫印迹试验(Western bloting)检测肾组织半胱天冬酶1(Caspase-1)、消皮素D(GSDMD)、NLRP3和转化生长因子β1(TGF-β1)蛋白表达水平。结果造模后造模大鼠体质量低于对照大鼠,差异有统计学意义(Pil-1β、il-18水平明显升高(Pil-1β、il-18水平明显降低(Pil-1β、il-18水平明显升高(Pil-1β/TGF-β1信号通路,最终改善足细胞焦亡损伤密切相关。

impact of different sampling rates on precise point positioning performance using online processing service

in this study,the effect of different sampling rates(*** recording interval)on the Precise Point Positioning(PPP)solutions in terms of accuracy was *** this purpose,a field test was carried out inÇorum province,Turkey,on 11 September *** this context,a Geodetic Point(GP)was established and precisely coordinated.A static GNSS measurement was occupied on the GP for about 4-hour time at 0.10 second(s)/10 Hz measurement intervals with the Trimble R10 geodetic grade GNSS *** original observation file was converted to RiNEX format and then decimated into the different data sampling rates as 0.2 s,0.5 s,1 s,5 s,10 s,30 s,60 s,and 120 *** these RiNEX observation files were submitted to the Canadian Spatial Reference System-Precise Point Positioning(CSRS-PPP)online processing service the day after the data collection date by choosing both static and kinematic processing *** this way,PPP-derived static coordinates,and the kinematic coordinates of each measurement epoch were *** PPP-derived coordinates obtained from each decimated sampling intervals were compared to known coordinates of the GP for northing,easting,2D position,and height *** to the static and kinematic processing results,high data sampling rates did not change the PPP solutions in terms of accuracy when compared to the results obtained using lower sampling *** results of this study imply that it was not necessary to collect GNSS data with high-rate intervals for many surveying projects requiring cm-level accuracy.
